  1. Thank you! The speeds are terrible atm (9 m/s surface travel not speed..haha) it's really a test model for me to learn all the what works and what don't at the same time getting pointers from you peeps. This is why most are going to smaller aircraft and I might even have to scrap Hurricane Hunter......hope not. I will be adding more shaft and panthers after I finish testing the pitch on these props. My hopes are to not stretch the blades off the hubs to keep it looking more realistic. If the blades need help I am considering basic fins on the inside of these to help with the push. I hope to have some better results this weekend. @Azimech makes this stuff look easy...haha but we know he's had his hours of trial and error .
  2. Hurricane Hunter Update 09.21.2017 Here is a quick update on the Engine Package I'm working on. Looks like I will need more Panthers and Chutes for the drive train because I still have a need for speed...haha I was able to reduce my part count, I plan to lose more cubes too
  3. Thank you! I search for music and sound affects after the filming is near complete. I thought about this when the Kerbal reached the top of the tower, it made me think if this were real it would be intense. Also I don't think I would have known this was the terminator soundtrack, you sure have a sharp memory man!
  4. This seems like the place where Hot Rodders & Motorheads come together and I found some candy for us. Not sure how long these guys been around, I must have been living under a rock lately . Always did love Hod Rod Magazines and Muscle Cars if you are into this stuff you must see this! Oh wait! these guys been around about 25 episodes!!
  5. Thank you! and yes that would have been the icing on the cake! I'll remember that one for future videos
  6. Thank you! I didn't provide any craft files, didn't think enough peeps would consider it
  7. Dang dude! you're killing facebook here lately, congratulations......AGAIN!...:D

  8. I remember this subject was mentioned and stumped across this, thought I'd put it here for future reference. Torque and Horsepower Relationships: Torque (ft lbs) = horsepower (hp) x 5,252 / speed (rpm) Horsepower (hp) = torque (ft lbs) x speed (rpm) / 5,252 Speed (rpm) = horsepower (hp) x 5,252 / torque (ft lbs)
  9. The offset has a limit on the distance it will stretch out, my first thought was to do this, I'll give it a try without so many cubes this will reduce parts and weight. Thanks for the help I like the pointers and tips that's why I share what I am doing so I can learn ideas that I may have missed.
  10. They build Engines like these 20 minutes from my home, the Turbine Bike you saw was built there MTT. Very cool stuff thanks for sharing this one!
  11. Hurricane Hunter Turbos are already challenging enough and I keep trying to get something more compact. Here's a long term goal, a 4 Engine Aircraft named Hurricane Hunter. Right now it's got some decent spin on this new Turbo and Bearing concept. This setup is bringing the weight more to the center of mass. I know other blades work better and with different setups but I've been hoping to get something that looks a little more realistic and still learning in the process. The biggest challenge is moving this much weight for the needed speed to lift and this may not ever happen for Hurricane Hunter but he's looking pretty cool for now. This was my first setup with the Juno's Here I am using structural fuselage and RCS Balls I found out Parachutes can handle some heat! not sure if this discovery was ever made?
  12. Once in a while I enjoy making some Kerbal Comedy when a project seems to not be much to brag about. This time it's a High Dive idea I had, hope you enjoy the humor and thanks for watching. DIVING KERBALS
  13. Yes 5 craft, I took the Hurricane Craft Total Mass and subtracted my Total Mass with the 5 craft loaded and this was about 61 tons. I then added Ore to Watson's Tanks and that was only an additional 6 Tons which I figured that wouldn't make the Hurricane flinch and it didn't. I shut off all fuel access coming from my craft. The Hurricane has been running for a while now burning off a little fuel running at 102.9 m/s. I didn't want to mention any performance details during my trip because my craft may have changed the handling, also I have many action groups that are set on these craft and couldn't use your craft action groups, this was proven to be a nice little explosion when I did. Couldn't resist a couple more pictures here
  14. Thank you! Also I am off to work at the moment, I'll give some feed back when I get back home
  15. XLjedi's Hydrofoil HCS-16 Hurricane Last Update 09.14.2017 I didn't get to do all what I planned to do. I made my way out to Sea and headed to a place I once found. When arriving I knew the rudders would hit bottom before the ramp in front because of shallow water so I eased in slowly......ok not slow enough everything went Kaboom!! so I made my way out to Sea and headed to a place I once found docked the HCS-16 Hurricane nicely on the shore side. My first craft of choice was the VTOL so I chose it (pun always intended) applied the brakes not to roll off the deck, decoupled and Bam! zero fuel Ok good thing I use F5 very often. Once again I prepared for takeoff transferring fuel this time and all went well. Next the Mini Submarine Watson. @XLjedi hope you don't mind me modifying the lower deck for Watson to squeeze through? Decoupling went nicely launching out the rear of the Hurricane went nice, Watson had fuel but zero Ore in the tanks the Ore is used for ballast and this kept me from being able to dive . Next up the Jet-Ski checked the fuel before decoupling? No! lucky me we had fuel in the Jet-Ski all went well. Next and final craft the Jeep. I knew before hand that I would need a way to get offloaded and decided to add a Juno Engine on the rear so a Juno Engine and Fuel were added (did you catch that?). Jeb gets in the Jeep and drives of the rear of the vessel, cranks up the Juno and Juno I forgot the air intake!!! (you know/Juno.....same thing) . Ok I hope you enjoyed my honesty and humor here. Below are some pictures of the trip.
  16. Love it! That's enough motivation to put a boat around it @Azimech What's to part total right now?
  17. Loaded your Hydrofoil with a few of my own craft and your Hydrofoil is still moving along at 100.2 m/s!! Wow!
  18. Took this one for a ride to the Island and almost back. This was about a 2 hour trip, ran at near full throttle and full authority on the blades then on the return I set throttle to full then tried 100% and as fuel reduced speed increase a little to a new Top Speed of 14 m/s. More pics of the trip
  19. I had to pull up a search on this one to see what it was, I didn't remember the name, after seeing it I do remember it and this was an extremely hard game. With a 385000 high score this was very impressive. Lots of stuff happening on the screen and a very quick reflex was definitely happening.
  20. Here I go again sidetracked from projects I would like to get completed finished one and here comes some fun stuff again I can't pass up, first it's @Azimech and a Challenge he mentioned about Turbo Fighter Aircraft so I am busting my brains working on some Turbos. Now @XLjedi shows up with this way cool Hydrofoil HCS-16 Hurricane, if you haven't tried it you should, it's really cool stuff. If you don't have the vessel mover mod you could add couplings on the bottom of the struts and throw some landing gear on them, use the Gollath Engines or others and she will roll right off the runway heading toward the coastline. As soon as I noticed the setup on this Monster Craft I thought about some craft I already have built that would work nicely to accommodate this beast. Below is a picture of what I am doing and felt compelled to share it. If all goes well I will share more pictures during my little outing. I plan to put the Heliport to use and bring some Jet Ski's along too, right now I have a Jeep that was built for a craft I built Airlift One and also a small Submarine named Watson.
