My first engine model from scratch (borrowed texture components thanks original artists )
It is inspired by the SpaceX Merlin 1C-D. I dub it, The Kerlin 1
I feel that i captured the main attributes of the Merlin. The turbopump. the supports, the regen cooling system, the regen return lines, The exposed reaction Chamber. etc etc
any feed back would be cool.

lol but it is a cheat rocket that is unfair.

oh. I am hoping to one day make it so it can take off again after planet landing. but currently it hits the deck rather hard haha. i need to make a better parachute or something. but i would have to make my own model. It can already take off again form kerbin and get into a very shallow orbit but that is it lol. perhaps after school is out this semester i will make my own parts for a better lander thing.

I made one for satillie launches. Problem is it is extremely wobbly. If someone could explain why i would probably release it

more to just show off the custom part i made. I originally made it so you could put stuff atop your capsule and then eject it (like a satellite) but still be able to use a capsule top parachute. it actually flys pretty straight.
Only problem is anything attached to it is extremely wiggly and I have no idea why.
Note the capsule on the bottom.

ah thanks you kindly. i imported other meshes but they didn;t have the same name. i guess my imported changes the names

How do you determine what part of a model stays behind? Decoupler wise i notice sometimes parts stay and others eject. how do i do that?

does it figure out a parts fuel tank size based off its dimensions as well as take into account the type of fuel?

well gosh thanks. like I havn\'t done that already. i was asking more if anyonw knew the direct path or direct name of them. moon parts gets so many usless replies.

This is not really about cheating or not cheating. it is about the methods used to get to the moon with very few burns.

I never landed but it is alot cooler if you ask me.

Made a simple video where i try to get to the moon I am not sure if it is the right way but it gets me there was very little fuel.

How can you be sure the encircled one is kerbin?
I watched it go out into space. Also note that it is about to slip behind the sun. and well that is where it was on the orbital map as well. Plus it was the only thing that moved quickly and flickered like a rendered object.

this is what happened when i tried to get to the mun. The mun was with in 10000m but I was going to fast (~6000m/s) I guess and it radically changed my orbit suddenly and i shot out into interstellar space.

So I modified some Sunday Punch stuff so could have larger RCS tanks. However (never modifying just copy and pasting) the texture file and renaming it makes the texture lighter on the model in game.
All U did was import the model into 3ds max 2011, Make the model shorter, change some UVs, and exported. suddenly it is lighter.
Note the different tone of black and odd shadowing.

like 1900 or so triangles.
it is just a 1 meter rocket. Merlin\'s are small engines.
