  1. hi, recently i started playing KSP with realism overhaul mod, i noticed that a rocket needs 9,5-10km/s of delta v to get into orbit so I designed a 11km/s delta v rocket, i launched it but it didn't get into orbit so i deduced that my ascent path was wrong. Can you tell me a good ascent path for real solar system- realism overhaul? EDIT: i'm using FAR

I think the title is very descriptive, now we only have 2 types of manned capsules in stock, i think it should be great to have 2 or more new capsules, in my opinion one should be a soyuz-style capsule and the other should be 4 crew capsule of 2.5 meters taller than the Mk1-2 capsule. Would you like adding more capsules to the game? If the answer is yes, what style do you think should they be?
  3. Maybe my English understanding is wrong but... Doesn't overpowered mean more-powerfull, if you see the comparations with the old engines you can see they are less powerfull than ARM engines, thats the true for me. Also i created this post to see people's opinion, not to create a war
  4. As you maybe know the new engines are TOO OP, now putting a 175 ton payload in space is too easy, for that, I think that in the next release 0.24 the new engines should be de-oped to make the game hard again or simply make putting things in orbit harder... What do you think?
  5. That doesn't matter for talking abaut 0.25... I would like to see the GP2 andGP3 in the 0.25 or an life support update but with little differences from the mods, maybe they can add a new resource to the manned pods called Life Support that decreases depending of the number of kerbals, life support recycler and the best important: Making kerbals need electricity for beeing on the capsules, they shouldn't die but the spacecraft should be unmaneubrable

Half year later from this post i can see a observatory facility near with the ARM mission, it would be great to start knowing only abaut the bigger planets and then send probes to explore different kerbol orbits, i think orbiting kerbol now is very useless but with this adition we will need to perform orbits in different inclinations for discovering planets and moons, I would be very happy if we can do this in the near future (0.25 or 0.26)
  9. Hi ksp players! Recently I discovered ksp.olex.biz, it says that you have to set a maneuver node to the target planet when the phase angle is x and your angle to prograde must be Y, question: Is there any way to get exactly X and Y in ksp vanilla?

Hi ksp community, today I'm writting you because i want to share my personal must have mods for ksp 0.23.5 Every new release i install the typical mods and search for new mods in the forum, but what mods should i install? If I install a lot of them i will reach the 3.5GB KSP limit and it will crash.... For that i idecided to create my must have mod list, it consist in the following mods: -MechJeb: I use it when i want to save time or when I just want to test something and dont want to do all the orbit and rendezvous process, I also use some of its tools like maneuver mode editor or ship's delta v. Pros: Helps a lot to create nodes, transfering between orbits... Cons: It reduces the fun part of the game for someones. -Ship Mainfest: Very usefull for crew and resources transfer, you can also create your custom kerbals... Pros: You can transfer resources and kerbals. Cons: It reduces the importance of EVAs in orbit. -KW Rocketery: Adds a lot of parts solid rocket boosters, engines, fuel tanks... Pros: Adds a lot of parts. Cons: It reduces the engineering part of building rockets -Kerthane: Adds a new mineral called kerthane, it can be used to make fuel in refineries and refuel your ships. Pros: Adds more things to do in the mum and minmus. Cons: i havent found any contra this mod is great -Lazor system: Adds docking camera, eva first person view, lazors, lazors.... LAZORSSS for tract, destroy. Very usefull Pros: Adds new functions to the game Cons: In MY OPINION lazors are overpowered. Fustek : Adds some new space station pars to make more beautiful space stations. Pros: Better space stations Cons: Some of the eva exits of the space station modules are behing attachment points making impossible to reach them in EVA if they are hid behind other part like a docking port -Kerbal Joint Reinforcement: Are you tired of rocket wobble? This mod will help you, it makes rockets more stable. Pros: Less wobble Cons: None -B9 Aerospace pack: Adds a lot of new parts such as cargo bays, wings, jet engines... Pros: More parts Cons: Maybe too much parts. XD -Nova Punch: A great mod if you want even more engines and fuel tanks. -ISA Map: It allow creating maps form the surface of the planes/moons Pros: add maps and a new function to probes Cons: It could be more usefull -Stretchy SRB: A great mod, it adds liquid fuel tanks and srb that you can edit to the height and widht, you can also change tank´s texture by pressing 't' Pros: It helps you saving ram because after installing this you can delete all the tanks of the other mods and play only with these ones Cons: It "reduces" the engeenering part of the game because you can make tanks of all the sizes. -Active texture managment: This is one of the best mods of KSP not because it has lots of new funcionalities, just because it helps players like me who have a 32 bit computer and wanna play with mods Pros: It reduces the RAM used by the game. Cons: It also reduces the texture size so worse textures, it also takes some time to load -Real Chutes: This mods adds new customizable parachutes, you can make apollo style three parachutes and config the opening time, autocut height... Pros: It improves the parachute control Cons: I had some problems with the simetrical parachutes
  11. One question: Will you model a koyuz TMA? I know there are a lot of soyuzs and space shuttles mods but I think that they wont fit into your actually style( Based on what i have seen in your pics). If you model it i think that you should do it when all ISS parts are finished
  12. I like the provisional textures, they look very good. I also like the idea of the RCS integrated in the modules it will help my laptop while building the ISS

  15. I must say that your work is AWESOME, you really inspired me to make a new space station with a premeditated design and to use a shuttle to put things in orbit. what program do you use to make the mission insign, i REALLY love your space station PD:Wich mods are you using?

Before someone reply this post sayng that i'm breaking the rule of suggesting parts, at the end of the what not to suggest it says that if you are specific you can feel free to suggest your ideas. I really would like to see more sizes os solar panels beacuse we only have a bunch of small and tiny solar panels an a big solar panel, i would like to see an half size solar panel and a bigger solar panels, it can make stock space stations building more interesting. I also want to suggest to add radiators, as you may know big ships such as ISS and mir acumulate heat and they use radiators to deliver that heat and make human life to be possible in the interior of the space stations, if they add radiators i think there should be 4 sizes radiators, tiny for the smaller ships, small for the 1 kerbal ships, medium for 3 kerbal ships and big for the space stations PD: sorry for my English I'm from Spain
  18. As you may know you only can do 3 or 4 experiments in low kerbin orbit, kerbin orbit, high kerbin orbit... And then doing experiments in kerbin orbit becomes unusefull but in the reality astronauts were doing experiments in space since 1960, of course ksp isn't the reality but i would like to be able to do more experiments in ksp orbit,, they shouldn't report a lot of science points maybe 10-15 points and they should take some time to be done, maybe 2-3 real life minutes, also I think that this experiments should get back to kerbin surface to get the science like in the ISS where the astronauts send half tonn of scientific material on the Dragon X capsule. What do you think? PD: Sorry for my English I'm from Spain
  19. I think that maybe Unity's next release (4.4 or 5) will stop random crashes in windows and will improve the perfomance of KSP a lot, maybe Unity next release will be in a couple of months for ksp 0.25 or 0.26

Hi KSP comunity, i want to learn the equations for the rendezvous, the last days i've been trying to create an equation to get the difference angle between the vessel and the target, then knowing that angle create a maneuver and execute it and voila rendezvous, but i'm not to good at maths and the equation fails sometimes. For that i want to ask you the equation or equations necesary to rendezvous with a target. Sorry for my English
