Does anyone else feel dirty when using Mobile Research Labs?

I like it. Finally gives a little purpose to bases and stations. -
It says it can render whole solar systems. Sounds perfect to me. On the other hand, KSPs graphics are good enough. I still play the original XCOM from 1994 every once in a while.

How far have you gone in Kerbal Space Program?

Landed and returned Kerbals from everywhere possible without mods. Only Eve once though because it was a pain and the framerate was unbearable. Had a massive Laythe colony a few saves back with 2 SSTOs, a lit runway, several rovers, 3 buildings, and a 15 story tall observation tower. -
The Dres asteroids are in a ring around the planet. The longer you keep a ship there, the more of them appear. It would be cool I if the ring was visible to the naked eye, but it's not. It is a great place for orbital refuelling though.

More station modules, more base modules and habitats, radiators, bigger jet engines, nuclear power reactor, and some kind of end game propulsion system, also, maybe some hinges or other moving parts. -
Took a large VTOL ship with 15 crew to Dres. Mined a few asteroids, then landed near the canyon. Bob EVA'd down to the bottom and ran out of fuel so I landed the ship in the canyon and rescued him. Left Dres, topped off the tank at an asteroid on the way home and safely returned to Kerbin orbit where a shuttle ferried the crew back to KSC. All in all, a good mission.

Landing and returning a Jeb from Eve in .23.5. Took a lot of preparation and 2 previous failed attempts but it was awesome. -
My 1 man ion plane flew very well on Duna in the past and could make orbit fairly easily. I hope it still works now.

I will just turn heat off in the debug menu until squad fixes them or adds radiators. Problem solved. -
I can still launch entire space stations in one launch.... Not sure what you are having trouble with. Maybe you are being to aggressive with your piloting? Try turning your rocket more slowly. Maybe wait until 15 k meters before even touching the controls.

"promised" endgame-content?

I'm always down for more content. I would buy a kerbals kolonization expansion today if I could. Especially if included a habitable world in another solar system, ftl drives, and habitat and greenhouse modules. I would pay 40$ for all that. -

I use them as mission commanders and eventually retire them if they live long enough. -
Just the other day I launched a hopper vessel to minmus so the guys at my base could get around and do some survey contracts. The hopper ship was in manned and had a probe core. The Ox Stats were only on one side so when I got to minmus the ship was facing the wrong way and lost all power during time warp. Not wanting to revert I jetpacked a Kerbal from the minmus base and actually managed to catch up to the ship as it limped by. With almost no jetpack fuel remaining, he got inside and refuelled. Then he got out and pushed the ship to orient the panels toward the sun. I couldn't believe that crazy plan worked. Thing is, I know better and normally save some power by turning off a battery. Just forgot to do it. Even so, it's nice to have these little adventures. Good thing the hopper was going slow and low enough to get too, if only just barely.

Debris recovery missions

Can't you put it in a MK 3 cargo bay with a klaw inside of it? -
Looking forward to a nice big tylo Lander that refuels and leaves the mining equipment behind.

Asteroid mining base may still be viable around Dres because there are multiple asteroids to mine. As one is exhausted, the base can go to another. I haven't unlocked asteroid tracking yet. Do the potatoroids continuously spawn there or are there only a few?

Yeah , this happened to me as well a few months ago. Had to land on a mountain.

That really sucks. I was looking forward to build ing orbital refuelling bases but I doesn't seem worth the trouble. Can anyone confirm that most asteroids are that poor in Ore? Maybe that one was a dud?

I love it and am having a blast with career mode. Already have some tier 3 facilities, but most are still at 2. Have a nice looking 200+ ton ship on the way to Duna and Ike to complete some contracts.

I'm having a blast with 1.0. So many things to like and I'm not worried about the bugs. One cool thing I did notice is that the rescue Kerbal missions are more varied. I rescued a girl from minmus orbit and she even had a hitchhiker she was waiting in. Nice touch. -
