A ksp movement... #Bringbackthebarn!
billbobjebkirk replied to Rolanvorxariat's topic in KSP1 Discussion
My issue with the barn is that it presents a HUGE contrast with the stock parts. The textures, style, and very idea all conflict with the clean, professional, and modern look of the stock parts in a way that makes the complex seem illogical: If these kerbals can build those rocket engines with such precision, then why can't they also build a flippin' office building? EDIT: My idea for an early tech KSC would be a complex that is very clearly temporary: a set of cranes instead of a VAB, a concrete pad with a fueling structure for a launch pad, scattered quonset huts for buildings, and a radio tower for a tracking station, -
[1.0.4] Endurance (from Interstellar) [DISCONTINUED]
billbobjebkirk replied to benjee10's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
well, that IVA isn't too bad itself! EDIT: This picture(http://i.imgur.com/TCoACFr.jpg) should provide a better reference for the docking area. EDIT2: also this: http://i.imgur.com/0uWg712.png -
[1.0.4] Endurance (from Interstellar) [DISCONTINUED]
billbobjebkirk replied to benjee10's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
the only flaw I see is that the surface textures of the docking area modules are actually more like those of Tranquility Node on the ISS. However, the shape and dimensions are right. -

So, will we be able to make the Liberty Ship?: http://www.projectrho.com/public_html/rocket/surfaceorbit.php#id--GCNR_Liberty_Ship -
There were actually four ways to launch it in the original proposal: Minimum: just the capsule and propulsion Standard(1): Apollo style Standard(2): Soyuz style Economy: Minimum, but with a sattelite underneath.

Also, for the next update, could you make a longer pressurized crew module for the FGB? I'm not a fan of having to stack two modules for a crew only TKS.

I would like to see more planets, more in-depth planetary science, and more exciting terrain on other planets. for example look at these images(http://mars.nasa.gov/mer/gallery/images.html) from the Spirit and Opportunity rovers. That's the kind of stuff I'd like to see. For science, I'd like to see stuff that encourages sample analysis and return, and would encourage building rovers or hoppers to look at multiple sites. EDIT: of course, these are just things I'd like to have. My real request would be to finish up things like IVAs, art assets, and planets

I mean the cargo lander, not the Ranger. -
[1.0.4] Endurance (from Interstellar) [DISCONTINUED]
billbobjebkirk replied to benjee10's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
This may be a little off topic, but I'd like to get a papercraft model of the Lander. the kerbalized version posted here will do just fine, as long as it has the engines. -

the Lazarus pod: http://www.wired.com/2014/11/absolute-zero/ EDIT: Also, maybe the robots could be SCOT, KURT, and MACY (for the spoiler ship, after all, it would be oddly fitting) -

the Lazarus pods and the Future Rangers? -
well, the PPTS and crewed ATV capsules aren't all that dissimilar in shape, other than the window on the PPTS. The interiors are... comparable... but not really: http://news.bbc.co.uk/nol/shared/spl/hi/pop_ups/08/sci_nat_enl_1211927654/img/1.jpg http://www.russianspaceweb.com/images/spacecraft/manned/ptk_np/2013/maks/flight_controls_1.jpg

Alternatively, you could make one set of textures that could be the CARV and a more elongated conical capsule like this: http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/science/nature/7419793.stm EDIT: also, high res CARV: http://www.flashespace.com/icones/mars08/atv/evolution/01g.jpg

There's another law that KSP players have broken innumerable times: In order to keep a manned space program safe, economical, and effective, you must do three things: 1) Don't develop any new launch vehicles 2) Don't develop any new launch vehicles And 3) Whatever you do, Don't develop any new launch vehicles
