  1. To clarify, "Flying Low" and "In Space Near" are not biomes but situations. The biomes are the horizontal regions of the planet or moon, for example "Poles" or "Lowlands", while the situations are broadly speaking where you are vertically, but with some wrinkles like the one you found.

Two great states meet in ceaseless war, Those of one seek treasure galore, Or perhaps just some tranquil moments from the other who knows only violence. The border shifts with gain and loss, Though some say its measure's meaningless. On this battlefield many come, To work and toil, or just for fun. Much is written in web and press, So don't you know what is this mess?
  3. PS: On docking ports I had the Jr, that's enough for Apollo style missions. When I came to build a space station the only standard-sized ports I had were the Mk 2 ones, so they were what I put on In the event I never docked to them though, I only ever used the Jrs. I think a big part for me is I hate the 3-Kerbal pod, it's hugely overweight, so I got a mod 2-Kerb pod instead. When I update to 1.0.5 I'll probably roll something with the 1.25m cabin assuming it has decent crash tolerance.
  4. All three I assume. Flight without reaction wheels isn't that hard, just make sure you take a gimballing engine, and optionally some monopropellant and RCS. It's just rarely done because reaction wheels are so ubiquitous. (Outside of RO and other mods that nerf them).Similarly, if you pick a few random celestial bodies and visit them in that order, there's a decent chance you're the first person to do that. More likely if you increase the number. Chances are it's not all that hard, it just hasn't been done before because a mission like Gilly-Eeloo-Dres would be an oddball thing to do.
  5. What expansion slot it uses obviously, you need one that will go in your PC nicely. Which WiFi standards - and any non-standard extensions - it supports of course. What type of antenna it has. For a desktop I think an antenna on a decent length cable is better than one that's fixed to the back of the PC. Relatedly, whether the antenna can be removed and changed, especially if you think you might need a higher-gain antenna for your use. Whether there are software drivers for your OS.
  6. Remember New Horizons, like all planet packs, depends on Kopernicus. I don't think Kopernicus has been updated yet and IIRC the current version has some issues with 1.0.5.x Back in 1.0.4 I'd say it had less than a 10% fps drop.
  7. Check your KSP version is supported by your FAR version - note ferram's post above that the "silent update" to KSP broke FAR stuff and there isn't a corresponding FAR update yet. Install FAR and no other mods manually to isolate problems.

Nope. I meant to put distances to rule that out, but forgot.
  9. KAX offers an electric prop that feels fairly balanced. As far as power usage goes, back in 0.90 FAR my Icarus 2 flew with a command pod on just 12 OX-STATS. So unless KAX has upped the power consumption a lot it shouldn't be a problem for a well-designed aircraft. But you could also look for mods that add larger static solar panels. Firespitter has some more powerful electric propellers, but they felt like a bit much for me. That said they made decent boat engines.
  10. If you didn't copy over your old settings file, there's a good chance that's behind the problem. I used to use similar hardware to MLWostal and one of the big ones was the aerodynamic effects - anything other than minimal would noticeably hurt performance.
  11. It's a fairly well known issue that's been around for several versions IIRC. Whether it's deliberate or not I don't know.
