  1. Yeah. Since the announcement, I've learned a bit about how we actually do things. I may have jumped to conclusions. - - - Updated - - - I think the only thing I'd really like to add to the stock system is signal delay and a probe computer.
  2. Yeah. I should probably withhold judgement until we know more.
  3. It really does seem like RemoteTech lite. Casuals will turn it off. Realism fans will use RemoteTech. I do like the look of the stock dishes, though.
  4. The classes could have different personalities. Scientist could be no non-sense. Pilots could be devil-may-care jokesters. Just little differences in idle animations, etc.
  5. Praise the Kraken. Fear the Kraken.
  6. You could just restrict them to a specific radius around their parent ship and rely on players not to park near cliffs.
  7. I hear you, but, unfortunately, I don't think Squad sees this as a true release. It's obviously still in development, just not with the "early access" label anymore. - - - Updated - - - Umm...that was 4 years ago.
  8. I like the KSP game animations section of the video, where it shows a bunch of animations that aren't in the game. (sad face)
  9. That's weird. Apparently everyone experiences this, but I had a hell of a time trying to figure out what you all meant by stutter. At first, I thought you were just talking about lower frame rates when building big ships, but now it sounds like something else. How long do you need to play for this to crop up? I don't really play marathon sessions. More around 3 hours or so at a time. Is this something that once I see, I won't be able to unsee it?
  10. Thanks for the heads up. Didn't know about this mod, which is unusual.
  11. I just want the science archive in sandbox. Could be a useful log of what I've done.
  12. I believe adding additional orbits in KSP isn't actually much of a performance hog, but I could be wrong. I know I've had somewhat insane amounts of flights in my game and it was still playable.
  13. Folders or groups for the tracking station has come up many times. One of many good ideas that continue to pop up here from time to time.
  14. I meant no offense. I've just seen it used as an excuse before, and it just rings hollow to me. Per my first reply to this thread, I'm not completely against the gameplay concession.
  15. One of many UI improvements I would like in 1.1. Any time Squad says they're trying to remake the UI exactly it hurts my heart.
  16. I don't think this should ever be used as an excuse. Video games is way to broad a term, which includes games that do strive for this sort of realism.
  17. My opinion varies. I do hate how powerful they are, but I feel it's a similar gameplay concession as ion engines. They save time turning giant ships which, otherwise, would become tedious. The issue comes when the same part is used on a small plane or rover. They just become extremely overpowered.
  18. It'd be great to actually feel like there's another organization involved who needs your help. As of now, it feels like the Kerbals are just randomly spawning, which is, of course, exactly what's happening. Getting reports on how the other company is doing could also motivate players to push that much further into space. Being informed of a satellite launch, only to look in your tracking station and see a satellite from the other company orbiting Kerbin.
  19. ...or use Kerbal Engineer and know it (should) work the first time.
