  1. Kerbal Mechanics has those: IRnifty is an actual developer with actual unity experience and he has figured out how to make those fail
  2. There's also the split between mods and no mods. Let's be honest: there is just no excuse against some realism proposals, the Isp one being the most obvious. Some things aren't even about "it's a game" or "it could be a simulator", they are just plain wrong no matter what your stance is.

I'm not sure how I feel about that - it would be definitely the most realistic part of the mod, since failures are usually caught before launch - but I'm not sure how to do it, how to balance it, and I definitely need to think about it. But not now: I needed to empty the bottles for the next brew, and it had exactly the consequences you imagine from such an operation.

  6. Hey Sir, micro-issue: if a mod doesn't have a banner picture, maybe it would be cool to reduce the image area in the mod's page, because otherwise it looks *really* empty.
  7. Explosions will come, but will be optional. Cascading failures... dunno. In the beginning I didn't like the idea, but now I'm starting to think that *maybe*, if it were well designed, it might make sense. What we really need is a way to cause failures on unloaded ships...

  9. Hi everyone, I am fiddling with a small windows program for the game. Unfortunately, I have a hard dependency on Assembly-CSharp, and since this is to be executed outside the game I'd need to distribute the dll along with my executable. So the question is: can I do it? I don't understand if this is prohibited by rule 2( of the EULA. Thanks a bunch. P.S: I also have PM'd Rowsdower just to be sure.
  10. You know, what we would need would be the ability to drastically reduce the number of applicants. If the applicants were not an endless stream, but maybe just a handful a year, *then* you would be forced to work with stupid kerbals. Let's be honest, applicants for space programs are rarely stupid and cowards... IMHO, the only way to make them fit properly is to FORCE you to work with what you have.

  14. Mods are usually announced here on the forum in the release section. While curse is the official hosting site, and kerbal stuff is the community alternative, the majority of mods are still hosted on github / mediafire / dropbox and the like.
  15. At the restaurant I choose my orders to ensure I have to pay multiple of 5€. I count the steps on stairs and I feel physically uncomfortable around prime numbers. I think you understand now why I deleted all the nasa tanks as soon as I noticed those textures...

  17. You installed the radial crossfeed plugin, which makes the decouplers act like fuel lines. Delete that and you'll be ok.
  18. Yeah, I know that... in fact, I did not install RT2 this time. It's a fresh, totally brand new install I just finished setting up like 20 minutes ago. W/e, I can live with this. If I find out something I'll let you know. Cheers!
  19. Well, this is strange. I had installed remote tech 2, and it removed the ability to launch from other launch sites. So with yesterday's update, I decided to re-do a clean install of RO. I just finished re-installing everything starting from a clean build, and I also started a new save, but I don't see the other launch sites, nor the button to switch them. Any idea what I messed up?

I know that Nathan already supports AVC in deadly reentry, so I would imagine he's ok with it. Feel free to shoot it down in flames if it was unwanted
