  1. I agree with Mazon Del, we should make it open source, and the only reason that we sometimes get people posting about stuff without reading the discussion is that there's no summary of what we've agreed upon during the 80+ page discussion.
  2. Well, like I posted a few times earlier, we should get this more organized, formal, and efficient, or, as you said, it would take years. It took us about a month to even decide what our CubeSat will do, so we need to do better then that. How about we make a website or something, since because we're not a university or a group of engineers working for a small country, we can't very easily communicate ideas and such as quickly, but this can be done, but some formalization and organization does seem to be necessary for this to not take years.
  3. Sauron, could you also draw the vehicles the "Good guys" used to land a man on the moon? (If they've done it) Like the vehicle that actually lands there, like the LK/LEM.
  4. Couldn't you just use an O2 tank to give air/O2, and a CO2 scrubber to get rid of the CO2? Both won't last long, but we are dealing with plants here, and they give off O2 when given sunlight, so we could just put some LEDs to assist in the life support system, though I don't know how much power that sucks out.

  6. Yes, we would only need 4 facing the sun. Also, would it be possible to see the pressurized area from the outside, or will it be completely encased?
  7. Okay, so there station modules are there own mini-spacecraft, got it. Though really, what more could you put in that Orange Cargo Spacecraft derived design that's not already in the 2 modules, maybe one that includes an interchangeable external scientific thing, like Kibo? (Okay, maybe this shouldn't have a Kibo-alike module, but what do you think the 3rd one should have?)

  9. Ah, so the space station is just 2 modules, tough I really think there should at least be a third one for example, an area with an external science thing like Kibo? And maybe an EVA airlock, or do all modules have that?
  10. Okay, I'll try that when I can, but I honestly don't know what that means other then it's a "Hierarchy".
  11. Hmm... probably, though you and I have no idea how to get them to function, so maybe someone who knows how to make functional solar panels will come and help us. So that could mean that they will be stuck and can't extend/retract. EDIT: Maybe we can contact the guy who did, for example Tantares. He knows how to make retractable/extendable solar panels, since they're on a bunch of the things he's made.
  12. Hmm... Interesting... Also, remember that space station you drew? (Well, more like a 2 Salyuts/Skylabs docked together in space) Does it ever get larger, as the module with no solar panels has a node-like group of docking ports. If it does, could you draw it? EDIT: Also, why do both powers use the exact same type of docking system?
  13. I have absolutely no modelling experience at all, unfortunately. But I did just download Blender, so I'll try something. (Perhaps starting with the Green Medium LV?) Anyway, good to have you Sauron! Also, could you help me with modelling/texturing when/if I ask for it, though I don't need any advice right now. On the Green Medium LV: What size should the blue capsule be? I'm think 1.25 M, but that would make it's docking port 0.625 M, so which should it be? EDIT: Or maybe I could first start on the space station Sauron drew, as it is based of the Orange Cargo Vehicle and it's manned variant.

  15. Well, I see a clear difference between the designs... While, I was aiming for it to be like Sauron's rocket design, not to be efficient.
  16. Okay, you guys are right. We don't know when this thing will be done. Though this has been sugested before, we really should make a video with KSP RSS which has our CubeSat, and it will surely make this more well known. Maybe even Scott Manley will notice this...

  18. Also, Sauron, how much in diameter would the orange cargo spacecraft be, life size? (In KSP it's 2 M, but it'd be surely wider IRL). If you wanna know why, I'm going to try making a realism overhaul version. Also, what propellant would it use? Would it be hydrazine or UDMH/MMH + N2O4?
  19. Thanks! Yeah, I do see how the Green Heavy LV's first stage is a bit too long, especially the 2 orange tanks, I could've replaced them with some other parts. Oh, and when I was flying it, it seems that TWR of the first stage after the SRBs have separated and the second stage have uncomfortably low thrust-to-weight ratios, but I still think the rocket is fine. Tiny Edit: It'd be nice if you could add that the cargo module has KAS support, and can hold 120 KAS unit things in the More Info section. It's a tiny thing, but it'd be cool if you could put that.
  20. Okay, but I've finished those rockets: DOWNLOAD Sauron Green Heavy LV. You can look at Sauron's thread and you can tell which one this is, this also (I think) is the LV for the Orange Cargo Craft and it's manned variant. Sauron Green Medium LV, you can see that is also has that blue 2 man capsule that Sauron also drew, replace the pod with the Spud from HGR, and it's closer to looking like it. Sauron's 2 man pod and it's LV: Also, why haven't you put my KAS fix in the download, or a link to my DRE thing? EDIT: Thanks for putting them!
  21. Okay, so after you fix the engine effects are you going to start on the manned variant? Also, I'm currently trying to make some craft files of Sauron's rockets out of stock and this mod.
  22. Yeah, you can put my DRE and KAS things in the OP. Also, I used Hack Gravity to get it in the air. (Sorry, I didn't read the engine part's description! )
  23. Suddenly, a deadly reentry continued module manager file appears! DOWNLOAD You need deadly reentry and module manager, I'll make a non-module manager version if you want. (You should put the .cfg in the deadly reentry continued folder, along with the other .cfgs in there)
  24. Thanks! (I think you should credit me somehow, do you really don't have too, as it's so simple anyone could do it) I also quickly found a bug: The engine makes no sound, and as you can see from the image, it's exhaust is a bit below the engine and only comes out of one.
  25. Also, I made a little thing to give the Cargo module KAS Support. (Holds 120 KAS units, or whatever there called) MODULE { name = KASModuleContainer maxSize = 120 } Simply put it below "vesselType = Probe", and then you got a KAS version! It should look like: vesselType = Probe MODULE { name = KASModuleContainer maxSize = 120 } MODULE { name = ModuleCommand
