  1. It's the evening of April 21st as I open KSP forum site. Usually I always start with Announcements forum. There just under sticky threads something catches my eye. Title says: "Just 7 days til Kerbal Space Program 1.0 comes out!". I open it and read it. "Wow! I knew it was soon, but this was unexpected!" Even though I know KSP will continue development through 1.0 and get more players, features and attention, I still feel like this is the end of an era. Since I started playing back in 0.10, I've always been used to play a "non-finished" game, until now. I will do a farewell mission before 27th, and then get my hands on shiny new 1.0. Maybe even do a return mission from Eve in it! I hope you understand my feels: it's not about the souposphere or directly reentering on return from Jool. For me things won't be the same.

  4. I saw a quote somewhere, I think in the beginning of Nassault's movie, it said: "We were born too late to explore the Earth, and too soon to explore the cosmos." As a 15-year-old I find that statement exceptionally accurate.

  7. I have had a similar problem when I was constructing a shuttle that looks very similar to this one and with problems similar to this one. Luckily, I found inspiration on the real shuttle, and came to the conclusion that Flaps are your friends on reentry. Make big flaps that bend some 40 degrees and tie them to action groups. Flaps pull down your nose so you won't go out of control easily if your tail is heavy. I can send you the .craft file if you need it

  9. It was a long time ago when I switched to FAR, so 'ye olde souposphere won't have a special memory in my heart. Mk1 Inline produces less drag than Mk1? Give me a ******* break. Maybe I sound rude, but remember that "getting to orbit is halfway to getting anywhere", so I think that good aero and thermodynamic model should follow up to already good orbital mechanics simulation.
  10. Try to start a thread like this in a Sugestions and development discussion next time. IMHO Squad for now won't change the terrain on Kerbin as they are adressing some old bugs and issues. However, you can test your vehicle over the curvy river on the western side of the continent that is west to KSC.. Problem is that you have to fly 1000 or more km to it. Thanks kerbalmaps.com for the original map.

  12. Here is mine. Design was not a problem but learning to fly that last 300 metres was tough. Anyways, this plane uses parachutes for slowing down and landing. Reusability condition is fulfilled because parachutes can be repacked and set in a stage sequence again. Mods used: FAR, B9, KER, pWings. With 1 minute 42 seconds I think it's a new best time.
