What's the most Kerbal thing you've done in real life?
viktor19 replied to Mister Dilsby's topic in KSP1 Discussion
There are a few things, not really spectacular, but worth writing. Few months ago, I came to the idea of making a gas cannon out of a ice tea bottle. First, I made a hole on the side of the bottle for the lighter, then I turned on the (gas) stove, and put the bottle against the burner to fill the bottle with gas. I put the cap on the top of the bottle and...WHOOM! I'll just say that the cap missed the new flatscreen by 10-15 centimeters and left the small orange mark on the wall. -
Had the same problem while taking temperature reading for the contracts. After every quickload, game would crash with my plane above the same place. Sorry to bring the bad news, but I had to redo the mission, which means you should, too.
-
That's odd. In my install translation mode doesn't work.
-
Had the same problem. Expand the KER window and set reference body to Earth. By default it's set to the Sun.
-
Is that the September 24th asteroid impact conspiracy theory reference?

You can always use pruner. It disables (but it doesn't delete them) certain parts of your choice (wings or fuel tanks) so you are then left with only the procedural parts and lower loaded part number. Off the topic: when can we expect full KIS integration? I've installed it but some storage parts appear to be non RO-compatible.

what makes people use 64bit (and how can we avoid it)
viktor19 replied to Mulbin's topic in KSP1 Discussion
Can someone please clarify the statement that x64 KSP looks prettier? AFAIK 32 and 64 look the same. -
Can someone please clarify the installation process or refer me to a post that has an explanation of installation?

KSP 1.0.3 - ETA ? (waiting for it, cause mods^^)
viktor19 replied to brienne's topic in KSP1 Discussion
Like always, 1.0.3 will be available soon -
Sorry to interrupt, but in my language (distant relative of russian) it's a vulgar word for a female-only body part. It's ptichka [bird] IIRC.

so how often is the game lying to us?
viktor19 replied to mrklaw's topic in KSP1 Gameplay Questions and Tutorials
Dont forget the Antennae paradox: first available antenna displays higher speeds and lower energy consumption than the other two, which are more expensive and unlocked later in-game. -
"When your only tool is a booster, all your problems start looking like gravity." Someone's signature IIRC.

Why does my rocket just flip
viktor19 replied to Scout61699's topic in KSP1 Gameplay Questions and Tutorials
I noticed that you play KSP for a long time. Most common problem with rockets flipping is that you turn too hard. Usually my rockets have TWR from 1.3 to 1.6. I start my gravity turn early, as soon as my rocket reaches 100 m/s. Then I keep the nose on the edge of prograde vector to about 30 km altitude. And remember, fins are your friends! -
Somebody please call Whackjob.

If there were no limits - what would you make?
viktor19 replied to Foxster's topic in KSP1 Discussion
Dyson sphere from 2x2 structural panels and photovoltaics... Something in orbit visible from the surface... Something on surface visible from orbit... Deorbit Gilly... KSC replica on a different planet (I know for Extraplanetary Launchpads)... -
Although I doubt something that serious might happen, it would be a disaster - 14 years of hard work down the drain.

Remember the SC: Societies!

I think that it's no coincidence that SimCity installments' quality went nosedive after EA started to influence Maxis more. EA leadership knows that only good graphics isn't enough. But hey, we live in a capitalist world - they make money from half-finished game, and that's all that matters to them. And about the EA's primary focus on console market: it took Rockstar 573 days to publish PC version of GTA V! They neglected the very thing that made GTA popular, the PC, because the were trying to milk the last of the console market.

Who else loves seeing the little "Notifications" tab lit up?
viktor19 replied to Starwhip's topic in Kerbal Network
Few days ago I opened the forum and had two notifications, both telling me that I got some rep for my comments. It really made my day! -
IRS disagrees... Hill is seized due to a fraud investigation and sold to me on a public auction. My legally obtained hill!

On the Health and Wellness of Solar Panels

Happened to me one time while opening the service bay. Praise the F9! -
What is your brilliant tip or trick?
viktor19 replied to Ferdoni's topic in KSP1 Gameplay Questions and Tutorials
@Ferdoni Consider listing all of written tips/tricks to your first post in this thread so new users don't have to scroll through whole thread. I could write a long story but here it is in few sentences: when installing the mod read the whole release post. I didn't and my 100,000 funds Shuttle got stuck to the space station. When I accidentally opened the IR release thread i read that combining IR parts with docking ports is not recommended. -
Couldn't agree more with you guys! Reminds of that type of games that have triple-A quality trailer graphics and Spongebob level graphics in-game. I mean like this: IMHO water revamp and cloud addition should be near the top of priority list. The pinnacle of environment design of game released in 2015 can't be tree/rock scatter that pushes the RAM usage to absurd levels.

Vrlo dobro napisano. Je li to jedini portal/casopis s ovih prostora koji je napravio recenziju?
