  1. I highly recommend using this page to your advantage. By browsing through that page in combination with simply looking up tutorials for what you want to learn, you'll learn a whole lot. I only started 3D modeling and modding back in late June of 2015, and in one month I went from knowing nothing to being able to make things like this for KSP. Learning Blender doesn't take long. If there is something you don't know how to do, just use Google and YouTube, and I promise you you'll know how to do it within a short amount of time. I recommend starting off by making simple models like fuel tanks and SRBs. Then once you are comfortable making these and getting them to work in-game, then you can move on to more complicated things.
  2. Can SmokeScreen change the stock plumes? I'm not talking about using the real plume configs, but the standard stock plumes/exhaust flames.
  3. Yea that got cancelled back in 2012 I believe. Sounded like an interesting consept though. It would have been a Falcon 9 with four Merlins launched from the Stratolaunch carrier aircraft.
  4. All of Kartoffelkuchens launch vehicles are 1:1 scale with their real world counterparts, and these launch towers are made more or less specifically for Launchers Pack: SpaceX LVP, so yes, they are made with RSSRO in mind. I believe there are configs contained within this mod that does rescale the launch vehicles, but that only scales the down in size.
  5. Looks like an interesting concept. I think it would be very useful to have a Falcon 5 for the smaller payloads. There is not really any point in using a Falcon 9 for a payload between 1t and 4t, so Falcon 5 would be a nice "in between" option to have, especially for people who play in career mode. Also the new FH textures looks really good As a sidenote, are you going to do a recoverable second stage in the future?
  6. Nice It'll be fun placing 3 of these around the KSC for launching and landing Falcon Heavy stages. Also, why have I never heard of Falcon 5? Care to share some images of what that looks like? Google is not very helpful when searching for "Falcon 5"
  7. Yes. I've known about it for a while, and have it fully modeled. But as it is just yet another artists impression of what it might look like, I won't bother including it in the mod. At least not until we have some more concrete information.
  8. Thank you Sampa! Yea the new forums was a confusing surprise. But yay for new forums!
  9. Vulcan is already done. I'll post some pictures of everything that is going on (soyuz ST, Angara Family, Titan IV, etc) with this mod when I get some time. I started working on a inflatible supersonic decelerator type thing for the enigne section, but I got side-tracked by other things Thank you very much! Good to be back
  10. I'll be looking for testers once it gets close to release, so I'll keep you in mind for that Anyways, thank you for that! I'll need it, as I'm currently working on Titan IVA/IVB, the entire Angara family, Soyuz ST, SeaLaunch and Vulcan. So I'll take all the good luck I can get.
  11. 1.1 not getting released any time soon is exactly why that is my self-set deadline, so to speak. I have been away for a few months now and need to get back into things. Check and re-check that everything is working properly. And I don't want a bunch of test versions of different launch vehicles floating around, as that is only going to result in people reporting incompability issues with different mods. Also if 1 or 2 people get test versions, then all of a sudden everyone wants a test version and I can be bothered dealing with having test versions on the lose.
  12. When the next update hits, which probably won't be until KSP 1.1 it out, then all launch vehicles in this mod will require RSS/RO. I won't bother with "stockifying" them. As of now, the mod is not downloadable (though the old outdated version might still be up on KerbalStuff). Last time I updated the mod, all launch vehicles had enough deltaV to get the proper sized payloads into orbit in both Stock KSP and in RSS. Each of the stages had their burntimes set to real world burntimes and stock 64% burntime respectively. If Vega's first stage only burned for 22 second, I don't know happened. I checked everything before I release the update a few months back. In any case, each launch vehicle and its stages should all be configured properly as far as I can rememeber. I strongly recommend not downloading this mod in its current state unless you've got Realism Overhaul installed. To be honest, waiting for the next update would be the smart thing to do. Yes, the ATV was finished a long time ago. It was not released because I did not release Ariane 5. Ariane 5 and all of it's configurations are ready to be released, but I want to re-do the textures on all launch vehicles, and that can only happen once us modders get our hands on the new shaders from the 1.1 partTools. So until then, ATV and everything else will have to wait.
  13. BDAnimationModules texture switcher allows for in-flight texture switching. Of course that means that the change between "clean" and soot texture is instant, and not gradual, which in turn makes a bit unrealistic. It is an option however. Otherwise someone would have to write a plugin specifically for this. Might not be a bad idea though, as Delta IV is also know for its blackening tanks at liftoff, and as I understand, you are going to work on Delta IV next.
  14. The main cryo tank has had every color from light brown, semi-brown, light blue, grey, and drak grey Mostly I am adding all these tank colors as optional and switchable, so if you prefer the "standard" orangy-brown one, you can use that one.
  15. I absolutely agree with you about the Vulcan. In my opinion it is just a fancy Atlas V with a new paintjob). Of course I know it is much more than that, but for the less technical people out there it just looks like an Atlas V with different colors. The reason for that launch vehicle being in the poll is because of the amount of people who have contacted me about making it. So I figured "meh, why not". I'm actually surprised to see it leading the poll right now
  16. Haha ^^ I just feel like I owe you guys some progress images because of my taking so long with this. I swear I am getting close to release..
  17. Well with a title like "Real Scale" it really is meant for RSSRO. Having them in actual 100% stock dimensions will mess with the scale between all the different parts, but it is definitely do-able. Once I run out of things to do, I can probably spend some time "stockifying" them a lil bit But for now, this mod is meant for those who want to play around with actual real replicas and play with the big boys in RSSRO.
  18. They work fine for me. Are you sure you installed the OldSchoolFairings (folder named "Felbourn") with the AeroHider .dll? That is all you need for them to work.
  19. To anyone interested and/or following this mod; I am curious to know which launch vehicle you would most like to see after Ariane 5. There is a poll on page 1 where you can chose which one you'd prefer to have. This will help me in terms of what needs to be done first, as I am currently switching between 3 launchers. Thanks guys
  20. Thanks buddy. Can't wait for this update to be live so that I can go back to actually playing the game. Good luck with your mid-terms
