  1. With the test screens they posted a few weeks ago, I can't see why it couldn't.
  2. This has been speculated on before. But my opinion is that type of science will be necessary once you start going interstellar. Nate has said each new planet will have a non DV puzzle to figure out before you can safely land, you will have to find and mine resources. So the only way to figure it out is the types of science you mentioned.
  3. I wasn't talking about lighting, I was talking about texture fidelity. I don't use visual or texture mods. My graphics cards can't handle them. Nor do I care about lighting effects in games. I can't use them anyways.
  4. No, they never mentioned anything about currency in the game. So no selling anything at Kerbin until otherwise updated. (It's a good possibly you may need to ship stuff to Kerbin, but they never said it.) They are getting rid of the play modes in KSP1 (except sandbox) and replacing it with their own progression system. Again, they never detailed how this progression system will work. Only the broad strokes; there will be contracts and science will be necessary, there will be no fail state do to currency or failed missions; but outside of that, it's all up in the air.
  5. Possibly, the devs never really detailed how the progression of the game will be. But what is clear right now is the fact that Kerbin will be much less relevant in the mid and late game. What I mean is that as soon as you're able to, you should be constructing everything off world. No need for you to be reliant on Kerbin once you hit that point.
  6. Lol, it will look better than the original KSP, but it won't look as good as the trailer. It was admitted that the trailer was rendered as a movie using game assets, not captured in game footage. There are other trailers out there that show the game using graphics that are on par or better than KSP1.
  7. Yes, there will be new resources for the new fuel types being added to the game and to support off world construction.
  8. In regards to Kerbin and much like the rest of the Kerbol system, it's just going to be an asset update pass. If you look closely at Kerbin whenever its on the screen, it's the same but different. The same is true about Duna.
  9. The devs have already highlighted several new planets here and there. They also said they don't want to spoil the game by reveling the total number of planets planned for the game. With that out of the way, I would love to see the process they are using to create and detail a planet or moon, and the thought processes behind it.
  10. It would be helpful to know what CPU & GPU you're using so other players can make an comparison to their machines specs. My A10 APU usually holds between 28-40% cpu usage and 98-100% gpu with dropped frames @ 1080 with med to low graphics with a lightly modded game. (no visual mods, only helper and parts mods.)
  11. Yeah, the crawler way is a good spot to test, but it a good distance from the launch point on the runway. But if you want to do testing on more "natural" terrain, you have to drive a couple kilometers to get out of the flats around the KSC. If there will be different friction settings for the different terrain types, then drag will come into play. But as it is now, there's no reason worry about that since there seems to be no difference in friction settings for the different terrain.
  12. Never had a problem building rovers in the SPH. Just a little patience and using the snap and offset tools you can get everything lined up right. But a dedicated area for testing rovers would be nice to see.
  13. I'm not voting because there isn't a response that fits my position. Without the Kerbals the game is still quite playable, but it would lose something. Others have offered a variety of reasons why the Kerbals are necessary, but my personal opinion is that the Kerbals add that spark of life to the game. I hate it when I strand they somewhere, or kill one of them. Without that emotional bond, or at least the want to do it right when the Kerbals are involved, the game would seem really cold and less appealing without them.
  14. Not to burst anyone's bubble, but in the very beginning they were very skeptical on developing a console release, and never committed to one. Since the studio and release changes they have never mentioned it. We don't know if they are going to make a console release or not. We can't say which consoles (if any) that KSP2 will be released on. We also can't rely on KSP1 as an indicator for the future as they are being developed by different studios.
  15. The don't really have to show the act of or the aftermath of the Kerbal vomiting. But them being useless for a bit afterwards would be a good result for that.
  16. So I had a chance to watch the video again. They were talking about the Kerbals reacting to the flight forces. But I noticed this... Is it me or does he look like he is going to puke in his helmet? We know that Kerbals will react to G forces. (Black out, Red out) Does this mean that they can also get motion sickness if the conditions are right?
  17. The two above they have touched on at some point. No, they weren't a full feature videos, but they have talked about them. As for what's next, I can't even guess.
  18. The Kerbals being compared to the Orks from WH40K. Yes the Kerbals are plant based and their stuff just works, so perfect.
  19. What's happening with CyberPunk is the reason I don't get excited about game releases anymore and always wait to see the reviews before buying. (I wasn't planning on buying it anyways.) But at least you can change the question "does it run Crysis?" to "does it run CyberPunk?" now. Lol
  20. Yes, CDP is an independent as they develop, publish, and distribute their own games. A very large one, but an independent none the less. But what does that have to do with making KSP2 run on the Switch?
  21. I would like one to be a natural wonder. Imagine landing at the site and after looking around for a little bit just to realize that it's the best looking scenery on the planet.
  22. I can attest to that behavior with the Ryzen. My 2700x will start physics hiccups around that point. All the AMD processors I've used the physics hiccups would start at about 50 craft/debris in orbit. (A6, A8, A10, Ryzen 2700x processors.) All the laptop I7's I've used would start the physics hiccups at about 110+ range of crafts/debris with the number going up with each new generation. (3rd, 6th, 7th gen I7's laptop processors.) Personally I think the game was coded or optimized in a way that favors Intel processors and chip sets.
