  1. I'm getting the same bug, and my output log is filled with this message NullReferenceException at (wrapper managed-to-native) UnityEngine.Renderer:get_material () at ModuleAblator.UpdateColor () [0x00000] in <filename unknown>:0 at ModuleAblator.FixedUpdate () [0x00000] in <filename unknown>:0 at DeadlyReentry.ModuleHeatShield.FixedUpdate () [0x00000] in <filename unknown>:0
  2. Ash, can you take a look at the distant object enhancement configs? Its throwing NRefs at me, which is odd, as I haven't installed distant object enhancement!
  3. I was going to say, do you want me to change the defs to reference a luminescent bacterium in the atmosphere of Serran! But about the heating, that's something that I would worry about as a deadly re-entry user, stock at Serran should be dicey, but not suicidal!
  4. Well, it is right to say that franking in and of itself is safe, in the same way the drilling for oil is safe, but when mistakes are made, it becomes very unsafe.
  5. I've installed FAR, and I'm getting massive lag with a relatively small plane (the Blitzableiter). The debug menu is filled with errors saying MissingFieldException: Field ".Field.externalTemperature" not found. Have I done something wrong? Edit: As it turns out, FAR had nothing to do with it, ignore me!
  6. tl:dr, Yes, it's perfectly possible so long as a sufficient temperature gradient is maintained.
  7. Also, we're overlooking the fact that the water was from a facet, not being gently placed into the container. If the water was under just a small amount of pressure, that alone could make the wax splash upwards, regardless of temperature.
  8. But remember, we've established that the candle probably had some sort of accelerant in the wax, and the flame was much bigger than normal before the water went in, so it is perfectly possible in those circumstances to get the wax over 100 degrees C.
  9. Different countries have different boundaries on dangerous heat depending on the normal weather for that country, as an example, Britain was in heatwave status two weeks ago as the temperatures were over 28 degrees Celsius for several days, but countries like Spain wouldn't declare a heatwave at those temperatures, as their population is used to those conditions, but we aren't!
  10. The Mun orbit bug is known about, but there is no fix, and the issue with Aptur was fixed in the latest dev build.
  11. Is the Fungi telescope meant to not get science? I thought that it would get some, but not much.
  12. Also, can I just say, Tynrael, when you made that error with the fuel balancer, I wasn't cringing, I was pulling my hair out at the amount of fuel that was wasted!
  13. Erm, you remember the reduction in GeeASL that Sonnah took? Well, That's increased the SOI of Kerbin, so that it now covers Aptur at closest approach (the SOI is now 8,437Km, and Aptur is currently 8,200 Km from Kerbin. Its causing big issues!
  14. These fuels can't burn in a liquid state, they have to be vapourised, so if the wax is spilt it shouldn't ignite or even stay lit. The only thing that the hose could be used for is if the tripod catch's fire.
  15. The wax defiantly is a fluid combustible, its the fuel for the candle flame!
  16. If thats the case, I might remove it from my game, it might give me room for RLA!
  17. Its not in Add On Releases, so I think most people ignore it. That being said, I was trying to plan a simple Kerbin-Mun transfer, and it was saying that my initial delta-v is 15.2Km/s. I don't think that's quite right!
  18. I use KSPTOT, its long winded and complex, but isn't confused by inclination and can give you all the graphs and diagrams your heart desires!
  19. That would depend completely on where it hit, but as the station is very fragile, at least half the modules would likely be broken off and the remaining parts would depressurise. - - - Updated - - - I'm not quite understanding the question, the Soyuz capsule are always pressurized as the are manned transports, there is no unpressurized storage.
  20. I think its more a general space news thread, but for stories that by themselves do not warrant a whole new thread
  21. We've already lost 21 astronauts throughout history, there is a reason why Gravity wasn't meant to be a comedy.
  22. Random question: Has anyone ever gotten temperature readings from Leouch's lowlands? I know what is in the canyon, but I need to know the readings at the higher altitude to make sense of the atmosphere.
