  1. Other than aesthetics, do part adapters (those things that connect from small to large sizes) serve any real purpose?
  2. I tried using a Saitek X52 to control the rocket, assigned the axis in the options, but it working a bit wonky in the game. Right around the center of the stick, it seems to be super sensitive, and then loses sensitivity the longer away from the center you pull the stick. And I mean so sensitive that you can't really even control anything around the center. For example on the throttle, one minuscule movement at the center of the throttle axis translates into a 1/4 jump of throttle in the game, and the joystick behaves the same way with pitch yaw and rotate. Was there some additional calibration I should have done first or is that just not very well supported and I shouldn't expect anything better? Also how come the move from VB to IPB? Just curious..

  5. You have scanSat parts on it. When you time-warp at max, there's a bug that will sometimes cause you to explode from overheating.

  7. I don't know the forum username of the author of this video, but we as a community absolutely MUST make a challenge out of this! Establish a list of mods allowed, a standardized track, and race!
  8. Maybe I'm missing something, but what's stopping you from declining the contract to get a different one?
  9. This all assumes that time is stored as an integer... is that confirmed? It could be double or even a float.
  10. Whatever save you've played the longest (career, science, or sandbox), how long in game time has your KSP lasted, and how much has it accomplished in that time? My saves, surprisingly, are barely more than a year old at max. I tend to concentrate on Mum/Minmus for some reason, to the exclusion of everything else, and have actually never left the Kerbin system, despite having played KSP for years now.

  12. It's the vertical speed. And it's not your eye-sight, it's really tiny and hard to read. I think most people use information mods like KER and MechJeb that show the vertical speed and other stuff much more clearly and so nobody complains.

  14. Ohhh, so that's what those are! Saw them for two days in a row, told my wife in the car that those two stars are bothering me, haven't noticed them in the sky so bright and so early in the day ever before, but didn't think much more of it. Turns out it's a rare event and I just shrugged it off haha.

  17. What are the bare minimum parts packs required to play with RSS effectively? I don't want to install the entire RO suite, too many parts in that...

  21. Before you quit can I recommend you try watching some youtube tutorials on how to play first? The in-game tutorials, while fine, can be inadequate for some players. Personally myself I was able to learn the basics much quicker and easier by watching youtube vids instead of the in-game tutorials, plus they teach you a lot more stuff that's not found in the tutorials.
  22. Well I don't suppose there is any mod that adds a customizable engine part? That way you can tweak the engine part to exactly whatever thrust and ISP is required.
