    If I recall correctly, at one time it actually used the stock model resized; some time ago however, it moved to a custom model designed to look like the stock model because of issues with it not quite working correctly.

    Ah; I have not gotten to that point on the tech tree yet, this should teach me to make assumptions based on reading part files.

    Apparently just big enough that it does not fit (I assume size 2 is as big as the lander gets) at least when assembled.

    Is there any way (particularly for US part versions) to get some thing other than the stock parts to count, especially for satellite contracts?

    It also sounds like you may want to change the folder structure to containerize everything a bit better.

    Another option (for right now) would be to just keep another copy of the .version file in the special branch github uses to make web sites for repos.
