  1. [WIP] = Work In Progress. There will be windows, and there is plenty of outside space. Because its tall, it looks short, but the areas at the back stretch right across the width of the ship. They are plenty big enough for doing whatever you want in. Anyway, the lack of windows/balconies is because they haven\'t been drawn in yet.
  2. Each deck is roughly 7M. From this, we can infer that the Aurora is 164m tall [from the waterline] and 367m long. Whilst there are Earth vessels that long, none are so high as the Aurora, and none are catermarans, wheras the Aurora is - giving the ship a much wider stance and so having much greater size. Also shown in the image below is the lengths and heights of the lifeships.
  3. Haven\'t figured dimensions yet. Though each deck is 1.5X the equivalent of a Human ship\'s. Fixed image.
  4. Strange. On my desktop, B is normal brake, N is normal brake unless held down for three seconds, in which case it becomes a handbrake and stops it rolling away. Also, the HSTW Carts page says B is brake and N is handbrake. Also, Sign me up for a flight. Destination base: Aspiration Base Planned additional mod: Truss Pack
  5. Cruise Liner Aurora, the largest sea-going civilian vessel ever constructed by Haikovans - so large, in fact, that it carries not just a flotilla of lifeboats but four entire lifeships, the Entourage, Escort, Waverunner and Tribute. Two of those lifeships are conventional single-hulled passenger vessels, and the other two are high-speed catamarans. This vessel has an exceedingly high passenger capacity, and has every facility possible somewhere on board. During the siege of Anfywa Island, the ship was commandeered by the HSD and acted as a troop carrier from the mainland, and deployed the majority of soldiers sent there.* As with large aircraft carriers and icebreakers, the Aurora is powered by nuclear engines, in this case thorium molten salt reactors to negate the threat of meltdown or dangerous radiation levels. She has twenty one decks. Below that is either engines or ballast. *The Siege Of Anfywa Island was the result of a faction of anarchists attempting to cause heavy damage to HSD infrastructure through means of a captured HSD facility which controlled an orbital missile platform - capable of deploying a large number of nuclear missiles. Said facility was designed to withstand bombings, and the anarchist faction had taken control of other areas of the island including one port city and several major towns. (This thing is seriously massive. I googled \'21 decks\' and this was the only related result: ...yeah.)
  6. I see no submarines. On topic, nice work.
  7. Now, Silisko Crater is big, but the Dais is small. The Dais is where you need to go, so landing needs to be accurate or you\'ll be some 20 metres below Aspiration Observer. Though given how close everyone else was able to get, I don\'t suppose it\'ll prove too difficult.
  8. Is there landing gear under your ASAS?
  9. Ok, so the contest was to design a helmet for this character - Selena, a Halcyon [that\'s an alien, by the way] This was my entry: This was the 3D version that the contest\'s poster mocked up:
  10. It didn\'t work with the BigTrak because there was no suspension - it broke up trying to climb the dais. Also, landing it with MechJeb just makes it fall over onto its back. So I put it back with a cart, used MechJeb to get a landing line, then decended manually. The result: Aspiration Base is now operational. 11. It\'s not in position yet. Still have to rove it to the Aspiration Base site.
  12. Apollo 18 was, well, just supposed to be an Apollo lander with extra cargo, in the movie. Here, we have Munbases and such. More stuff to get blown up, I suppose.
  13. Anyway, Aspiration Observer is on its way - with some extra research equipment on board. Better say \'hey\' to those guys down there. [Please ignore the mangled wreck that\'s playing turtle not 100 metres from its intended destination. It can be removed from the Persistance File if neccesary.] Ok, removed both wrecks, and designed a different version. It\'s not as easy to land as te original Summer Sky X was, but land it has.
  14. Is it a bird? Is it a plane? No, it\'s a jumbo-frickin\'-jetliner. Awesome that you made something so big, shame it doesn\'t really, you know, look like something.
  15. There was a Tranquility base [removed], and NovaSilisko discovered a pyramid. Not sure if the pyramid remains.
  16. Flight to Silisko Crater Dais begins sometime after 19:45 GMT+1, when I have access to my desktop. I shouldn\'t need condensed files - I have 8 gigs of RAM. Not sure of my graphics capabilities, but it shouldn\'t grind to a halt.
  17. Spoilered because images. Lots of them. VA DAWN 1 FUEL TRANSPORT MUNBASE FUELLING MISSION VA SUMMER SKY X #5 RECOVERY MISSION All that remained of the Dawn transport, despite high hopes of salvage and rescue. Coming across the debris of the Sunrise Communications Facility. No sign of Werewolf Base or Summer Sky X #4. No beacon, no debris.
  18. I must have subconciously based it on the Blue Midget. Except in this case, Horizon class has only one set of two wheels forward, like a conventional aircraft. I just didn\'t draw it in.
  19. Front: Landing stature [Note lowered tracks] Side: Parked/Flight stature [Tracks raised, windows blanked] The windows blank in flight to prevent passengers and pilot seeing outside the vessel when the Skip Drive is active. Not to blank out the windows could result in unpleasent effects.
  20. now showing the \'exceeded bandwidth\' page.
