  1. The 'bottom' of the decoupler will stick to whatever it is attached to, so if you put one upside-down on the top with a nose cone attached, it will get ejected along with the nosecone.
  2. Electricity per second in ksp is electricity per second. Just a general number of electricities being used up per second. Yes, I know that doesn't make much scientific sense. But neither do kerbals or their solar system...
  3. Just out of interest, I assume there is such thing as thrust-mass ratio for the acceleration of your craft in 0g?
  4. Why do you play ksp? To have fun. Why should you use spaceplanes? Some people find them fun (I personally find flying planes in KSP more fun than rockets... crazy, I know!)
  5. That seemed to work, thanks! Will report if I find more issues!
  6. The game gets stuck loading the reactor. In the log file, at the end, I found this: [LOG 20:51:35.488] PartLoader: Compiling Part 'Mk2Expansion/Parts/Utility/Reactor/part/M2X_Reactor_Tokamak' [LOG 20:51:35.545] PartLoader: Part 'Mk2Expansion/Parts/Utility/Reactor/part/M2X_Reactor_Tokamak' has no database record. Creating. [LOG 20:51:35.570] DragCubeSystem: Creating drag cubes for part 'M2X.Reactor.Tokamak' [EXC 20:51:35.609] NullReferenceException: Object reference not set to an instance of an object NearFutureElectrical.FissionReactor.GetInfo () PartLoader.CompilePartInfo (.AvailablePart newPartInfo, .Part part) PartLoader+.MoveNext () If I am not being stupid, and this isn't an error on my part, then how can I fix it?
  7. Well, the demo has only a tiny fraction of the parts that the main game has. And if I remember right, I THINK that the demo is based on 0.90, which has different aerodynamics to the current game.
  8. Just to note, I had one particularly hair-raising suicide burn. I activated the Vertical Velocity Control mod just as I hit KER's suicide burn time, and I ended up stopping a couple of meters above the surface. Was kinda scary!
  9. I suppose with the LV-N, isn't all the heat meant to be going into the fuel?
  10. For issues with ladders, lander legs and panels, you are aware you can deploy them in the VAB right?
  11. I always just accept that it is possible- after all, they paid me to have that sat in that orbit for 10 seconds, and 10 seconds is what they will get!
  12. Just to note, by radiators, I mean a smaller alternative to stacking wings on engines, that is built in. An ashtray on a motorbike is fine if the bike is parked, and a chocolate teapot would make a nice snack
  13. Firstly, I am aware that this would be a major change, so something like this is unlikely to ever become a thing. And I think it is something of an alternative to generic 'upgrades'. Basically, there would be a new gizmo in the editor, which would allow you to edit the 'sub-modules' of certain parts, namely stuff like engines and fuel tanks. For engines, you would be able to choose things like nozzle type, maybe with a slider for different altitude efficiencies or something like that. You would be able to tweak the fuel flow, and the power the engine outputs, but this would have the effect of making it heat up faster. Extra things could be added, like an engine heat radiator so that it cools down quicker and heats up slower- but this would increase the drag. Fuel tanks would have options such as the ratio of LF to O, and the wall thickness. Wall thickness would trade impact tolerance for fuel capacity. Just a little suggestion I have thought of, oddly enough based on some of the ideas in other games.
  14. I am pretty sure they are. You either click or alt-click on the hatches and transfer them across, no EVA required.
  15. We already have a super effective method of getting around called engines. I tend to use them fairly regularly.
  16. Except they couldn't see left because of the fuselage in the way...
  17. SO a part that somehow reduces the mass of a craft with electricity? Show me the real life equivalent. And about the ore scanner, we needed a way to find ore, and that is a convenient way to do it. We do not need a way to increase the TWR and Delta-V of nuke ships. Add more engines if the burn is too slow for you.
  18. Why do you write in blue? Kinda makes it hard to read.
  19. OBS is the best recording software I have found. 100% free too. Rather a lot of advanced options, but once you understand them you can tune it nicely. Have had no problems recording KSP with it.
  20. You can hold the right mouse button on a kerbal to drag them around to face stuff.
  21. Cheating? In a game with no true objectives? You just searched for a part in the menu! You have cheated! You should have found it manually! In all seriousness though, I don't think anything counts as cheating.
  22. Loading screens when launching and stuff are only a couple of seconds long anyway, I wouldn't have time to read the tips. A few images would be nice though.
  23. There is a mod called Scansat that does something similar to this, you may want to take a look at it.
  24. If you can land the satellite, then do. Re-entry doesn't care whether the bay is open or closed, it is purely aesthetic.
