  1. The TWR is just through the roof, I almost never use the 909 because the 48-7S just ends up doing it better.
  2. If he's going up the ladder there is a chance he is somehow pushing the spaceplane up, similar and stranger things have happened
  3. Think of it like this: the claw arms have to puncture into whatever they are grabbing, and they need some speed to do this (forgetting the fact that would be rather damaging irl)
  4. Starmade ain't as good as Space Engineers On the other hand, it doesn't lag as much with bigger ships, and it has a greater variety of weapons unmodded (dunno if Starmade has mods anyway). The player flight system was garbage last time I played it though.
  5. Have a Logitech Extreme 3d Pro here too. The throttle level can move a long way round meaning that relatively precise throttle control is still possible.
  6. I thought the breakdown of of uranium was technically a reaction. Maybe not though.
  7. RTGs are technically nuclear reactors, but yeah. A more kerbal way would be to get 2 of the engines with alternators, pointing in opposite directions, burning all the time to generate electricity.
  8. I had an elite dangerous dream a while ago, and I remember the sounds of the boiler in our house reminded me of engine noises... I should probably go outside too.
  9. I just 'The Bacc Booster' (pronounced back). It just has a ring to it.
  10. I tried that UJR application with vjoy and it only recognised the roll axis, none of the others.
  11. That screenshot was from after it started tipping. At the bottom left you can see that full yaw was unable to stop it tipping. I will take a look at KJR too.
  12. I didn't even think of nose cones lol
  13. You main problem is your landing gear. DO NOT ANGLE THEM! And also place them further apart. Angled landing gear create rotational force for whatever reason. Edit: I made a simple easy plane in career mode that is both stable and cheap:
  14. Can I just ask, how come in Windows 8.1 my joystick doesn't get recognised when ksp detects it?
  15. Though when in LKO, burning prograde when the mun is just rising guarantees an encounter. Assuming you are orbiting the right direction (to the east)
  16. Not as far as I know Edit: on another interesting note, the wiki says that their language (backwards Spanish) contains all sorts of sounds that are incredibly hard to pronounce. It said that kerbal larynxes would need to be an interesting structure to pronounce those sounds. This makes me wonder if their massive head is not a large brain, but a large and complex larynx.
  17. For stuff like that I usually put the wings right at the very back, so that they are almost attached to the engine.
  18. Added some struts and a number of control fins, and it seems to have worked. Thanks guys!
  19. Huge fins are probably the way to go. The lander is very aerodynamic by itself (or it appears to be) .craft: SO many mods on that ship there is not much point uploading it Screenshot:
  20. Thanks for the advice! The design that I normally use is sort of pancakey, it is a 1.25m core with 3 of the widest decouplers, a baac (bacc?) srb on each.
