[1.4.x] Contract Pack: Anomaly Surveyor [v1.7.1] [2018-03-30]
nightingale replied to nightingale's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
New update for compatibility with the new Mission Control in the latest Contract Configurator. But before you download, stop and read the upgrade notes: If you are installing this in a new save, the TMA-1 through TMA-8 contracts have changed. If you've already completed them, they won't register as having been completed. So to upgrade: Check which ones of the TMA-1 through TMA-8 contracts you've completed. If you have any in progress, cancel them (with the new Contract Configurator, you'll get them back very easily) Upgrade Accept contracts for the ones that you've completed. Go to the debug-cheaty-menu (alt-f12) and use it to complete the contracts (optional) Remove the free funds that you just received Enjoy, download is here. ContractPack-AnomalySurveyor 1.7.0 Overhaul for new Mission Control in Contract Configurator 1.15.x. Increased distance tolerance for Mun arch contracts (thanks 5thHorseman). Fixed text for TMA-1 (thanks 5thHorseman). Improved agency icon.- 502 replies

[1.10.1+] Contract Configurator [v1.30.5] [2020-10-05]
nightingale replied to nightingale's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
Huge new release! First off, if you want to know more about the release, head on over to the post on the Nightingale Softworks Development Thread: Next, I want to give an absolutely massive thanks to @Enceos for providing art assets for this release. There's a couple contract types that are still outstanding (so you may see some placeholder art), but otherwise the new art looks fantastic. Enjoy! Download is here, changelog follows: Contract Configurator 1.15.3 New Mission Control layout. Now all contracts that are eligible are available all the time (players are no longer at the mercy of the RNG to get the contracts they want). Also, can view the details of what contracts are *not yet* available, and what it takes to make them available. New contract art (special thanks to Enceos)! Contract generation overhaul. Overhaul to the contract generation system for massive performance improvements. Contracts are no longer generated in-flight (no garbage, no stutters). Added title and related attributes for REQUIREMENT nodes. Added title and related attributes for DATA nodes. Added sortKey for CONTRACT_TYPE and CONTRACT_GROUP nodes. New List.SelectUnique() method for selecting unique values (replaces selecting a random value and hoping that it hasn't been used before). New DATA_EXPAND node allows a CONTRACT_TYPE to be duplicated across a list of values (eg. duplicated for each Celestial Body). New CelestialBody.Index() method to get the global index of a body (for sorting). More warnings to steer contract authors towards more performant and more player-friendly ways of writing contracts. New ResourceConsumption parameter. Fixed issue where the state of some parameters wasn't immediately reset when switching vessels, allowing erroneous contract completion (thanks NathanKell & leudaimon). Fixed bug in uniqueness checks when vessels are involved which caused the uniquness check not to work (thanks severedsolo). Fixed issue where CollectScience parameters weren't always showing the checkmarks when partially completed (thanks jlcarneiro & severedsolo).- 5,206 replies

Nightingale Softworks Development Thread
nightingale replied to nightingale's topic in KSP1 Mods Discussions
Contract Configurator 1.15.3 is out! The release of Contract Configurator 1.15.x bring the biggest change since I introduced the expression system way back in 0.7.0 - the Mission Control and contract generation overhaul! If you've been following this thread or the Contract Configurator one, you'll know what this is all about, but now it's time to introduce this feature in more detail. First off, here's the new mission control: The main premise behind the overhaul is to reduce the randomness of contract offerings, and put the control in the players hands. You choose which contracts you want when. Don't like surveys? Don't even look at them. Really want to do the late game tourism contracts? Look ahead to see what you need to do to unlock them. The Contract Configurator contract generation has been effectively decoupled from the stock generation - so stock limits no longer apply to Contract Configurator. The contracts are only limited by what contract packs you have installed (so if you enjoy @Whitecat106's Historic Missions, be prepared to see a lot of contracts offered). Groups of contracts can be expanded and collapsed at the click of a button. You can also see the number of contracts offered in the group line, giving you some indication as to whether there's anything to see in there. You can also see "unread" contracts in bold. An unread contract is any contract that has been offered since the last time you expanded the group. Clicking on the contract itself will mark it as read, but if you open the group and skim the subjects, they'll be automatically marked as read when you exit Mission Control. The group line also shows as bolded if there are unread contracts within. These two features should help you find the new contracts very quickly. Since offering all the contracts at once effectively breaks reputation based offer limits (since Contract Configurator will now offer you all the 3-star contracts it can), the limits now move to active contracts. So the number of 1, 2 or 3 star contracts is now limited by both the Mission Control levels (unchanged from stock) and the reputation level. Lastly, we have the contract pre-requisites. If a Contract Configurator contract isn't currently available... we'll tell you why! No more guesswork! Some of the new features required some tweaks in contract packs to work correctly - Contract Authors have had a pre-release for a couple weeks, so updates to contract packs should be coming in fairly quickly. So go enjoy the new features, and let me know what you think! As always, if you enjoy my mods, consider donating through PayPal, or sponsoring me on Patreon! -

Contract Configurator: Art Assistance Requested
nightingale replied to nightingale's topic in KSP Fan Works
@Enceos - Can you include some extra spacing in the larger images? KSP doesn't provide any padding with the UI elements it appears in: I'd say give it a good 4-6px buffer. Otherwise things are looking great! -

@Enceos - Phew, nice work there! I think colorized versions of the tourism and grand tour ones would help make them stand out a bit better. -

It can accept two icons. It will attempt to resize automatically if the smaller one is missing, which usually fails if it's in DDS format (so it's easier to just provide both). -

It'll be 256x160 and 64x40. -

Hehe, my first thought was "you're going to blow up the sun!" But that can be fixed by rotating the rocket a bit. I like the concept, good use of the wider format. It may need some tweaking for the 25% size (doing a quick test zooming the browser out, the orbit lines seem a bit too small). -

@Enceos - No need for the silhouette, I think I like the camera idea better. Not sure which one of these I like best, I think the Kerbin ones may not have enough contrast when scaled to 25%... I might consider using the camera one for the 25% size and the Kerbin one for the full sized picture... I'll have to give it some thought. Overall, really great work, as always! -
That's about the extent of the info (and the work that I've done) at this point.

[1.10.1+] Contract Configurator [v1.30.5] [2020-10-05]
nightingale replied to nightingale's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
Howdy contract authors! New pre-release is available here. This one is feature-complete with respect to the new Mission Control UI. The main thing missing is some artwork, so it should be pretty close to what's going to go out in the full release. Some of the UI stuff that was in PNG in the last release was converted to DDS, so make sure you do a delete + re-install. Also note that in the DATA checks for whether a title was required I had a condition reversed in previous builds - so please check your contracts against this latest build (some contracts that should've loaded fine in 1.15.1 errored and vice-versa).- 5,206 replies

Contract Configurator: Art Assistance Requested
nightingale replied to nightingale's topic in KSP Fan Works
@Enceos & @RoverDude - I'm going to be releasing the update for Contract Configurator on Friday, are you guys able to get the outstanding ones done for Thursday? If not, I'll just put them into the next release of Contract Configurator. The ones that I have marked as outstanding are: Base Construction - RoverDude ISRU - RoverDude Grand Tour - Enceos (I assume from the last post on it that you still want to do some more work on this one?) Tourism - Enceos I'll likely start integrating the ones that have been done over the next couple of days. Really appreciate all the work that's been put into this so far! -

I'm going to need to play with this one a bit more. When I first went to it, it was underground, but after a quicksave/load it was in the right spot. Something odd about the terrain height there.- 502 replies

[1.4.x] Contract Pack: Anomaly Surveyor [v1.7.1] [2018-03-30]
nightingale replied to nightingale's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
Ah, gotcha, I see the problem now, it's generating for 5 anomalies, when there's only 4 (the one near KSC is in a different contract). So the 5th one is getting a bad index, which is causing all kinds of stuff to get set to default values. This will be fixed in the next release (on Friday, to go with the big Contract Configurator release).- 502 replies

[1.8.x+] Strategia [v1.8.0] [2019-10-22]
nightingale replied to nightingale's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
Nope, I'm wrong - the recovery dialog doesn't show the extra science (I swear it used to, or maybe I'm thinking of Funds). I don't want to get too spammy with the messages, but if it's just one big one that tallies it up it may not be too bad. -
The contracts in DMOS don't use Contract Configurator - so you'd have to ask @DMagic.

[1.8.x+] Waypoint Manager [v2.8.1] [2019-10-22]
nightingale replied to nightingale's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
Can't - it's stock that displays those, so it'd take some much more serious hackery to get stock to stop displaying them (or at least, to stop them from displaying them but not break other things). -
[1.10.1+] Contract Pack: Field Research [v1.2.2] [2020-09-20]
nightingale replied to nightingale's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
Not currently, but Contract Configurator 1.15.x will be out on Friday with some significant changes that should make it so you never need to disable Field Research again (because doing so won't affect the stock generation at all).- 469 replies

[1.8.x+] Strategia [v1.8.0] [2019-10-22]
nightingale replied to nightingale's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
I don't because the science bonuses that you get from Local Science should be shown elsewhere (eg. the recovery dialog). In the case of Kerbal Environment Institute, it probably doesn't show the bonuses unless it does some fancy "reverse engineering" stuff like is done in the vessel recovery dialog (but I'm not 100% sure, been a while since I've dug into this stuff, what I remember for sure is that it's more complicated than it needs to be).
