  1. Minmus is further away. Most beginners (myself included) think the Mün is easier to land on because it is nearer.
  2. That reminds me of 'Breaking Strain', by Clarke.
  3. Gilly: where your ship is larger than your orbit's apoapsis.
  4. Bob completed a Münar landing by bailing out of the lander when it ran out of fuel and killing 200m/s of delta-V with the jetpack. He's stranded on the surface with almost no EVA fuel, waiting for a rescue team to show up whenever I discover ladders
  5. A friend got me interested during the early days (somewhere between 0.7.3 and 0.10), and it totally hooked me up. I even managed to get to the Mün a few times when it still was a flat ball!
  6. This one summarizes how most of my Münar landings end:
  7. I finally managed to build a supersonic plane in career mode: Then I span it out of control:
  8. The game deserves its praise. It has gone a long way since the first days, and its future is very promising. It has now got a game mode for people who don't feel comfortable with a full sandbox (the career mode, and in the near future we should expect missions) while still retaining the "I can do whatever I want" feel that makes it different. This game totally deserves the praise it is getting. There's nothing like sucessfully returning from another planet with a ship full of science.
  9. Hello Kerbonauts, I made my forum account a very long time ago, but for god knows why I never posted anything. Now, after 2 yearrs and a "your username already exists", I'm back here. Even though I've been here for a long time, I'm still a bit of a noob when it comes to rockets. I hope I'll be able to learn some stuff and share some experiences in here. Have a nice day!
