Oh, this again. @CAKE99, you really should stop pinging him. It might get annoying after... oh... 3.

But the monolith also broke the space-time continium, so it all worked out in the end. Or we could get Martystu to give it a temp ban...

New to the forums, already addicted to KSP
Dman979 replied to TotallyNotHuman's topic in Welcome Aboard
@TotallyNotHuman_ I have lost track of how many hours I've played. It's a lot. I've never been outside Kerbin/Earth's SOI + the moons. -

Dman979 replied to TotallyNotHuman's topic in Welcome Aboard
Hello, @TotallyNotHuman_! It was kind of the same way for me. It's a great place here. Also, I'm beginning to wonder if @Starhawk ever sleeps. -
Hello, @50ck37! Like Starhawk said, if you think that 1.05 runs well, wait for 1.1! I can't wait to use more cores. Nice avatar, btw.

The S. Klemson?

I don't think he's going to reply... @CAKE99?
-
Oooh, nice! I hope he doesn't end up floating near Emkio station, though!

Moving satellites around in Realism Overhaul
Dman979 replied to Dman979's topic in KSP1 Gameplay Questions and Tutorials
@Snark I'm glad to hear that it's not too complicated. But I'm using Realism Overhaul, so it's Earth, not Kerbin. How does this affect the calculations?- 3 replies

How do I calculate the degrees my satellite will change in its orbit? For instance, let's say that I have a satellite at a perfect geostationary orbit. I want to set it up at 0o 0' 0" N 150o 0' 0" W. It is currently at 0o 0' 0" N 95o 0' 0" E. I know that a lower orbit travels faster, and it will take less time to go to 150o W if i get to a lower orbit than if i go to a higher one. I lower my perigee so the orbital period is 20 minute less than synchronous. How many degrees will I shift each orbit, relative to my starting point, and what is the formula used to calculate this?

Stock Tank Track (belt drive) development
Dman979 replied to Majorjim!'s topic in KSP1 The Spacecraft Exchange
Hey, @Majorjim, you must have a KSP IQ of over 133, because this is genius! I had tried with the radial decouplers, but it didn't work. I think the wheels might be a problem in 1.1, though. I've read that the colliders in Unity 5 are different.- 48 replies

me? no? Sorry. @DuoDex?

You cook on tin foil? Uhhh. We only cook foil meals/ potatoes in foil. Didn't you have some pots and pans? Also, you can bake eggs, too. Just put them near the coals, covered in mud.

You made pizza? Mad respect, bro. I hate to clean up after anything much larger than a 2-pot meal. Oatmeal is a major no-no on all my camping trips, unless you eat it from the paper container. Have you tried the Philmont Ranger Peach Cobbler? There was a recipe for it in the old Handbook. I feel like eggs are easier on flames.

that's right! @Mad Rocket Scientist?

That's a suspicious 'chute and decoupler setup you've got there, Kuzzter. As your lawyer, I recommend not showing this picture to KOSHA.

Because this might cause a bit of confusion, I am clarifying that this is a valid post. See the rules for specific information.

Also, if you mouse over the quote, you might see a "resize" option at the top left. It's not actually a resizable option, though. If you select it, and then click backspace, you can delete the quote.
