  1. Th... That's it! That's the Station! That's Pequoni 1! @Cydonian Monk, you have put together such an amazing story. What ever happened to the Argon relays, may I ask?
  2. Chapter 28-To the Mun and Back again. Muna-10 had been a complete success, but it had failed one thing. It was unable to get samples from the actual Lunar Regolith, only dust samples kicked up by the engine or just some random compounds floating around. That's why Muna-11 was fitted with a suction tube to bring in the samples up to the return lander. Launching on a Butane, Muna-11 raced to the sky in the evening twilight to bring back the first real samples from another world. (Funny, the above Imgur photo was called lesLMUN). With the Butane, Orbit was more than easy to achieve. The Munar injection burn was also just fine. The ground crews then took a break. It was mostly quiet around the space center over the past few days, as if speaking would bring missiles from the New Airfield down on them. So in mostly silence, the KSC waited for Muna-11 to get to the Mun. And within a few hours, it was ready to get into Munar orbit. The landing site was actually quite a famous one, it was the landing site of Muna-6. The samples there had not been as analyzed as the ones by Muna-7 so it would be good for two reasons. The first would be to get samples from a place they haven't gotten samples from. And the second would be to test if the crews could successfully make a target landing. Muna-11 was right on target, and touched down more than ok. But less than a second after the historic first landing rendezvous and the first time two probes met on another world, the engines ignited again. This place wasn't flat enough. The landing legs did not provide a good wheel base for such a (relatively) tall probe. After a bit of searching, a landing site was found, only a couple hundred or so meters away. The cargo bay opened. The tube extended. Samples were sucked into the cargo bay's sample container. And the first real Munar samples were ready for Kerbin. To make it a real Mun mission, the probe spent a night on the surface. Data was transmitted from Muna-6 to Muna-11, Data that would be partially lost in transmission Real science data. The next morning, the alignment was right for Muna-11 to head home. The crew sent a goodbye to Muna-6, which would probably not care that much, and shut off the sample tube. Soon, Muna-11's cold liftoff thrusters ignited. And off Muna-11 went, leaving behind the Mun, a landing stage, and an old probe that would never see home again. The probe headed away, towards Kerbin. On a trajectory that would land it on land, a recovery team was set up to get Muna-11 and make sure that it didn't fall to enemy hands. Before hitting the ground, a "snagplane" caught Muna-11's parachute and reeled it in, bringing home the samples the mission needed. Up in high Kerbin orbit, TellDeuterium was finally in a position to enter a stable Geostationary orbit. Mission success! Bob watched as another Governor-1 missile sat on the launchpad. The missile was a test into the ocean to see what aerodynamic stresses it could survive. 3. 2. 1. He watched the booster go up a few meters, and almost immediately it swerved to the right. Looking in terror as the booster flew towards the VAB, he almost could sense this would be the end. He expected the booster to hit the VAB, and for the VAB to tumble down in flames. But then he saw the fireball. A cloud of smoke took over him. And Bob Screamed. And he was still screaming until the nuclear fireball wiped him away.
  3. @RocketPilot573, will we be seeing something soon? I am so hyped for this mission!
  4. @OrbitalBuzzsaw, here you are! The beginning of a space program will come sometime this weekend. Taking on Tylo Part III-Tylo Touchdown!
  5. YES! Finally, you're back! Have fun mapping the solar system, it's been a while!
  6. Thank you! I'm glad I finally put all the links together. I think I'm pushing on 7 now! And thanks, you're always there with kind words for me.
  7. Hello, I just would like to know, should this thread be in Fan Works or Mission Reports? If it needs to be in Fan Works may it please be moved there? Thank you!
  8. Hey all! I'm here creating this new thread because now that I finally have multiple missions running at the same time I feel like I need a place to link them all (for me and for you guys). So, here we go! The Call of The Void. This is the second part of The Beginning of a Space Program. It's hopefully going to continue where the last story left Kerbin off, and hopefully I will go to many different worlds with this one. Light it up-A trip to Laythe and Back. Light It Up was originally created when I wanted to do a practice mission to Laythe of deploying a station and landing on the surface in 1.1.3. I then thought: Heck! Let's make a video out of it. The music fit the video very well, I like that it's fast. I can safely say that this is my best one yet. The beginning of a space program. This mission report is about the development of a space program (originally called DMSP) from small probes to the future of space exploration. I try to update it as much as possible and I really do love writing it, I'm sticking with it for a while. It's so Classic-A trip around the Mün. Well, I made this video because a) I wanted to use the song Classic somewhere and b) I wanted a few views and a new video. I had no expectation that it would end up on Video Wednesdays. Messing with the Mun, Mucking with the Mun, and Taking on Tylo. Taking on Tylo is the real jewel out of these. Check it out. Old Stuff (plenty of stuff here).
  9. Awesome collection of craft! I love all the launch photos. Brilliant work man.
  10. Awesome ships, seeing all three Potassiums in one chapter really shows how brilliant you are at this game. And loss of radio contact. Time to wonder that happened.... It was totally an apocalyptic asteroid impact 100%
  11. This is getting interesting. I still hope that Camwise is alive somehow, still living in Phobos's tiny gravity well. I'll wait and see. Ganymede arches will be one sight to see! Are you going to do a 48 km flyby?
  12. Trust me, it's not much, but it's Mk13 of the lander so it is a fun thing to play around with (I have done a total of 24 practice descents). Actually it was the same for me. I just couldn't get enough TWR.
  13. I'm actually writing this from inside a test room, but I finished the test far early so here I am. Taking on Tylo Part II-Hello, Jool. And I'll end there. Thanks for reading! We'll be landing on Tylo in the next one!
  14. Hey all, sorry to keep you waiting. Real life has been packed latley but I can hope to get you a chapter 'soon'.
  15. Alright, I will keep that in mind! We begin bombing in 5 minutes. Thank Raptor9! Yes, that's all right. There wasn't enough fuel to get home.
  16. Pretty cute! Now let me get some of those Tin-foil hats I have been mass producing.
