  1. Hey, Bahamuto, bullet casings don't fall the way I think they should, or is that intentional? http://imgur.com/yotOAeZ,2v8iR6P,MQKHvMc,isJ7R3u#0
  2. @X07: Maybe there is a mod conflict. You said you use KerbinSide, so remove it temporarily and try again.
  3. Can someone point me to the updated mod, if it exists? If not, does the 0.90 version work with 1.0?
  4. Any thoughts? Just go to the youtube page and see for yourself.
  5. What's the Perigee and Apogee of the scanner? It must be in a stable, polar orbit and should be 60km - 1500km high.

    Hi

Hey there, don't worry about your Engrish speaking skills. You will get better at it the more time you spend here. Welcome to the forums!
  7. I think they extract ore in a radius, but as I have not tested the mining mechanic for that, I'm not 100% sure. It wouldn't hurt to probably strap on some rockets to allow to change places.
  8. Taller, thinner rockets and gravity turns are the only things that come to mind. That and more SRBs. EDIT: How early are we talking about here? If you have the BACC, FL-400s, LVT-30s and a reaction wheel, you "might" get to munar orbit.
  9. I'm new to this mining stuff, so take my words with a grain of salt. To see ores densities, you will have to send a probe to a 60km (min.) stable polar orbit. The probe in question must have the survey machine, which is located in the Science tab. An antenna to transmit data, and a lot of power. If all goes well, you should see color overlapping the celestial body. Different colors mean different density of ores. After that, you need a craft with at least these 3 things. The Drill, a Holding Tank (2 variants of it) and the ISRU converter. Find a suitable place (anywhere, even in the launchpad itself) and activate the drill. If all goes well, you see a new button appearing in the right-click menu. It might be start Surface drill or something along that line. The drill automatically "pump" ore into the holding tank, ready to be converted. Right click the converter and you see 4 (correct me on this) buttons. Convert to LFO, LF, O, Monoprop should be those buttons. Again, it maybe something along those lines. One more thing, you can drill anywhere, but you will harvest more ore which are in more denser packets. Tell me how it goes.
  10. It is from XKCD What If, I'm glad someone knows about it! And, can it be used as a vehicle to get to point A to point B in the most kerbal way? Or is it limited to missiles only?
  11. I was reading a QA about sending a letter to New Jersey from Chicago. And I saw this term which I have never heard of before. So, what is it and what are the possible uses for it? (if any) PS: I'm sorry if this was in the wrong section, I don't know where to put it, and since it's a question, I thought it might be more sensible to put it here.
  12. Interplanetary space is my game, if only I can make a station that wont lag.
  13. That fixed the problem, now I have to worry about the craft not having enough dV to orbit, but that's for another day. Thanks man! And the linear aerospike is included in RLA Stockalike.
  14. @Wanderfound: Here are the screenshots. http://imgur.com/nhaYDmG,I1i3JdR,5vwckT8,M8SfzWm,NvKbKsa#0 As for the questions; How do you make a good SSTO design? How do you think I should ascent in my design? Should your really put a cargo bay in a SSTO? @blowfish: It would be great if you can help me out. I'm new to this whole SSTO business. What I do is angle the craft 45 degrees, full throttle and when I reach 19km, I angle the craft back to 0 degrees and build up the speed. Is that a good flight plan?
  15. @Slashy: I've posted a message and I'm just waiting for a reply. Here's hoping I wasn't annoying or anything. :l @Vashts: I'll try that. It's been awhile since I changed the way I build things.
  16. Hey there, Slashy sent me, told me that you can help me out on my FAR-AJE SSTO problem. I've been trying to make one and I've made a thread about it, but I got no solid answer. Slashy linked me here and told me that you are the one to look for when I have a SSTO problem. So, the craft I was making somehow just can't make it to orbit. The craft I'm planning to make is basically just a SSTO with cargo bays and a docking port. I'll provide more info should you ask for them. Peace.
  17. Yes, I am using FAR and AJE, if that will help. Does this mean it will be hard to make an SSTO?
  18. I've seen it before, I read it when I downloaded FAR. Its just that the craft somehow doesn't make it to orbit.
  19. @Red Iron Crown: I thought it might be more of a plane style flying. Like I said, before not much luck. And I actually thought that the Space Shuttle was an SSTO. @Kuzzter: Jets and Rockets, definitely. I found that Rapiers wasn't as efficient compared to separate jets-and-rockets craft. My goal was to just dock an SSTO and deorbit it back to Kerbin. It may have a tank full of Life Support and some Monoprop and fuel. @Xruler: I use FAR and usually stay within stock parts with the occasional Fairing mod.
  20. So, when I was making my space station, I thought, "I just need to learn how to make a SSTO and dock it to this Station and I'll have something like the ISS." Problem is, I don't have any clue on how to make one. I tried and gave myself 10 tries before asking around, all of my attempts have been less encouraging. All I'm asking for is some tips, tricks and other stuff to make an SSTO. (Sorry if its in the wrong forum or category.)
  21. Are you using any mods? As far as I know, you can't do that in stock KSP.
  22. Well, I may not be of help since I've only landed in the Mun today, but I would suggest a good launcher stage. For me, Booster stages are good to go when they can reach 3/4 into orbit. (And just coast the rest until the apoapsis) Orbiting stages should get you half or 3/4's the way to your destination. I can't offer a better way on making, flying or landing stuff, but, you also have to remember that the nail-biting anxiety you get from flying there is nothing compared to the happiness and exhilaration you get when you get there safe and sound. (And mostly intact). Good luck on your Duna mission!
