We will be reorganizing the Mods/Addons/Plugins forums in the not to distant future. The current organization grew out of a situation that no longer exists and it\'s getting a bit confusing. Over the next few weeks we\'ll be looking at how to best organize user content so it\'s easier to find things as well as for us moderators to maintain. Cheers! Capt\'n Skunky KSP Community Manager

There are several tutorials and some with videos on how to get to the moon and back. Have a go with the search box in the upper right of the page. Make sure you\'re at the top of the forum or sub forum you wish to search, as it only searches the forum you\'re in as well as any sub forums of that one. i.e. if you used the search now while reading this post, it would only search the How To forum. How to make a mod ON A MAC
Capt'n Skunky replied to Twinky827's topic in KSP1 Gameplay Questions and Tutorials
The first thing you will need is a 3D modeling program that can export DAE files. I am not familiar enough with the Mac to recommend one though. Cheers! Capt\'n Skunky KSP Community Manager -
What would you have wanted to know when you were new?
Capt'n Skunky replied to fangorn0's topic in Welcome Aboard
Welcome to the KSP Forums! 1. I wish I knew more about rocket science. It\'s still all a mystery to me and I just like building and blowing things up. Waiting on the ability to build space stations. 2. NovaPunch and C7 are the two best packs. NP has a lot of really nice toys to play with and C7 lets you make awesome space and atmospheric planes. [gmod]I've cleaned up this thread at the OP's request. Anyone that continues to post garbage in an attempt to derail the topic will get a swift kick in the keister.[/gmod] Cheers! Capt\'n Skunky KSP Community Manager -

He was post spamming last night to get to 100 posts. He has been warned. Next time I have to deal with him it\'s not going to be pretty. Cheers! Capt\'n Skunky KSP Community Manager

Whoa folks, simmer down. The guy was just making an observation which I also happened to notice as well. I was shocked at how fast the RP went from 'I want this piece of land' to 'I\'m putting nukes in orbit. FIRE!'. It was a tad disconcerting. In any case, this is a game about rockets that have a tendency to explode a lot making violence inherent to the game. That it would facilitate more violence in the members is hardly surprising. As Sordid stated, it\'s a single player sandbox game, it\'s what you make it. If some want to make it violent, so be it. Cheers! Capt\'n Skunky KSP Community Manager

His first version actually overwrote all the original parts with his balanced ones. Now they are added as their own separate parts so you can still use the crappy vanilla parts or his new and improved parts. A much better solution as overwriting the originals would cause noobs to pooch their installs if they weren\'t paying attention, and they never do. Cheers! Capt\'n Skunky KSP Community Manager

Currently, r4m0n of MechJeb fame and myself are working on adding a utility that will run on a second PC and connect via TCP/IP over your LAN to the game and display a host of telemetry data like what the plugin currently displays in the game window. He\'s doing all the heavy lifting. I\'m just creating kerbalish graphics for the screen. Think old school 1960s NASA control panles and output. Cheers! Capt\'n Skunky KSP Community Manager

I am not mad at anyone. It takes a lot more than anything that could occur on these forums to make me mad. There are some other choice states of mind, but mad it definitely not one of them. If it weren\'t for kids like you, I wouldn\'t have much at all to do here. ;P Arrr! Capt\'n Skunky 8)

[gmod]Please do not necro bump posts. This post is from last September.[/gmod] More SAS modules won\'t help as they are likely fighting each other over control. Try adding a single ASAS above your main stage and a plain SAS in your last stage. If you\'ve purchased the game and have v.14, try using the MechJeb plugin. Cheers! Why should your post be permanent above everyone else? And you wonder why people hate you. Arrr! Capt\'n Skunky

That site is not run by Squad, it\'s just another fan-made site in a long series of sites that has come and gone for mods. That\'s the problem with fan-built repository sites, there\'s no guarantee the site will remain available. The forums will always be here, even if the file hosting sites disappear (Megaupload). I am not trying to discourage anyone from creating or using these sites, just making a clarification and an observation. Pro Tip: To make searching for mods/plugins easier, make sure you navigate to the top of the desired section before doing a search. This will search only that forum section and not every forum on the site. Cheers! Capt\'n Skunky KSP Community Manager
