  1. The kraken strikes again XD Yes please, some smaller bags or canisters? May suggestion searching up that model for bags that someone did for TACLS. Pluss Universal Storage containers too, they tend to be the best at sercive module occupancy stuff. (though I think I already saw something like that for USI a long time ago) Yeah I too, feel strangely by this gap between no food need to huge quantities. I suppose there's always a way to configure things for our OCD's sake?
  2. Just out of curiosity, but what does the new version of this mod brings to the table? The new stock thermo dynamics seem pretty impressive and unforgiving. I already had some problems with unprotected re-entry, and even things blowing up during launch due to heat =O During re-entry I had a pretty nervous time trying to keep my engine pointed front to absorb the heat, while if almost turning the vessel would quickly blow.
  3. Is there a dev thread? maybe instead of offering a whole separate mod, maybe just a derived modified dll would suffice as an optional file to users. if its ok with magico13 of course.
  4. LoL, that was pretty neat flight, must been fun doing it. Btw, my recent attempts with the stock aero were pretty good, stock is indeed much better, looking forward to the new FAR though. I have a small request, if anyone takes on it, to make all wings capable of carrying fuel, major oversight as basically all aircraft in the real world carry fuel on its wings. Should be easy enough to do just applying the proper modules with cfg files, but I don't know how to do this.

This is awesome, I was already considering something exactly like that, with the buildings upgrades, makes more sense for progression and takes away the need for upgrade points, and leaving the choice to the player is an even better solution. I'll gladly test it out and report back. But still, how do I get the new version to work? Just download the base package and the latest dll from the dev thread? (sorry didn't really check if I could find it) Yeah, I too suspected it could be buggy. You're making the right choice. In any case if it doesn't work, the feature is not all that required, you can still build the craft with a bonus speed for parts. Have you though about trying to match the recovered craft with one of the saved craft files only? For example, using the craft from file as if it was new. Or maybe just plainly giving the user the option to return to hangar when landed in the appropriate space.... Oh I got an Idea, give the option to return to hangar and refit, the user then chooses one of the saved craft files, parts that are the same are reused but parts missing cost more. (or something like that) Thats sad to hear, having KCT neatly integrated into the UI was kind of a dream of mine, but I understand why you don't want to.
  7. So I wonder, is this still relevant with newer release of the game, its still necessary? and if it is, compatible?

Yeah, I thought I read something like this around here, a tag for the compatible KSP version for a mod, however, with new version, still show up lots of out-dated mods, some of them reportedly not working, like EVE and texture replacer for example. Maybe the ones who added their config files didn't add up this information?
  9. Didn't I see something about kerbals with EVA chutes by default? oh wait I think its the real chutes thats going to integrate them both.
  10. Been wanting to test this, now there's a fixed camera (which is basically the chase before the update) and the new chase camera, which is supposed to be similar to this mod right? So far it seems to be working, but differently, need to test it though... Btw, this mod still appears as compatible in CKAN
  11. Hey magico13, good to see you're on top of things. Sorry for asking, Its been a long time without playing, but, did you incorporated the full vessel recovery when landed safely, refit and reuse? Based on previous comments I suspect it did, in that case, awesome! I have another sort of suggestion/request too, have you thought of implementing the different buildings levels into the mod? For example, having the hangar upgrade, means to build a bit faster craft, allowing for building bigger crafts(as it already does) and more space to build an additional craft at the same time. As I'm already halfway on the suggestion, I'm going to add up something I thought off way before (from 0.25), the concept is to separate the building and of assembling parts, as the hangar only assembles where as third-party companies that actually build the parts. I've guess this is already partly implemented as recovered parts only need to be patched up. There could be something here but it would mainly be a change of concept, let me know what you think. As yet another suggestion, (XD sorry), and it may help with the previous issue of getting tourist on board. I think changing the default UI when opening the launchpad and runway, to launch crafts, and instead only show already available crafts for flight, picking the craft and crew with the default UI, if that's possible. That way it could things a lot cleaner and possibly solve the previous mentioned issue. Let me know too. As always thanks for the awesome work put into this, cheers!
  12. Surprised to be the first one here about this, but: Did anyone check how is it working on the new version? For now I'll play around with stock KSP just to check how things are, but I'm sure pretty soon I'll start missing the great feature mods add, including this one. I was hoping this to be somehow implemented into stock, given the overhaul made in career mode lately, but oh well..
  13. A small glimpsy of hope came on me when reading the changelog: Now opening chutes go smoother on G-forces. But I've guess its not what they wanted... Thanks EVA chutes is definitely one needed.

Final version of KSP XD Yeah probably will take a couple of weeks for modders to get up to date, on the flip side however, it seems some mod ideas have been implemented into the newer version, such as, aerodynamics, deadly reentry and some others. Still hoped for much more for the final release.
  15. Awesome here I came finally installing the latest version of KSP, but not very eager of spending the whole day fetching all of those mods again. Installed on linux, via the mono oficial repository instead, which gives me version 3.12 instead, but works. It requires mono-complete however, just mono-runtime doesn't work. Actually haven't tested downloading anything yet but gui works very well, and a bunch of mods available too. Thanks! edit: The actual downloading works, problem is with bigger list (for example my initial gathering of a large number of mods) the downloader reaches a point where it simply stops. For example right now is 44% at 0 kpbs. Is this an issue? or will it resume at some point?

Does it make any difference, you think of for example, relate the VAB and SPH level to construction time or something?

Loading assemblies I didn't know that the crash/lock wasn't happening without mods, if thats the case be sure to rule out which one or which group of mods may be the issue... As far as what I've recommended, to use something instead of Unity for Ubuntu, you can just install via the package manager, search the web for 'alternative desktop environments for ubuntu'....
  20. AS I've mentioned above, I'm on a pretty beefed up machine, still I can only get 24~30fps on the game, which means either the fps mod is getting it wrong, or that KSP simply locks up at lower fps. Still I do experience some hiccups eventually...
  21. Well I'm impressed, Anyway, Unity might as well be very flaky. One of the reasons I've switched out of Ubuntu a couple of years ago. Be sure to try out a different desktop with different combinations. Be sure to check which graphics driver you're using, either Xorg open-source or AMD proprietary. Check this out for Xorg compatibility... Seems that your specific card is rather older chipset, in which case proprietary AMD driver dropped support too, so check this. Specific Ubuntu help on Radeon. Additionally multi-screen setup in linux, either with proprietary or open-source drivers, might be complicated. I never delved into it myself as I don't really see the point, but be free to search that up.
  22. I'm on Debian Jessie, Kernel 3.16-3 amd64, 8gigs of ram available, Radeon R7 260X, KDE desktop. Using open-source drivers because proprietary went horribly wrong when I've first tried them out. On the other hand Xorg default drivers were great without an issue... Running KSP moderately with a lot of mods, never crashed on me, though there are some issues and eventually lock ups... but when KSP locks up due to some error all I need is alt+f4 to close it. Issues like this on linux are rather obscure, since the whole system is locking up I would suggest looking into system wide setup, is your rig new? I could be several issues with hardware, like heating up, faulty memory and such, acting up during the heavy load of the game... Could be due to specific GPU not being compatible too, should research that too... As far as I can tell AMD and Xorg drivers works well with KSP.
