[1.8 - 1.9.x] Nehemia Engineering Orbital Science (NEOS) (0.9.1)
Kaboose replied to micha's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
@micha All good, thanks for the reply. I guess I can give KEES and OSS a try, I mean I already have KAS installed so KIS won't kill me if it means getting to do some interesting science -
[1.8 - 1.9.x] Nehemia Engineering Orbital Science (NEOS) (0.9.1)
Kaboose replied to micha's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
Hey @micha I would totally love to add this mod to my current 1.8.1 save but I am not sure how well this will work given the KIS requirement. Just checking though is the latest release on Github (0.8.2) compliled with 1.8? Also, on Github is NEOS broken into its 3 main componenents? I noticed that OSS 0.8.2 is separate from NEOS so, can I run it without NEOS or KIS dependencies? Cheers and thanks for your time. -
[1.8.x] DE_IVAExtension - For All the Stock Pod IVAs!
Kaboose replied to DemonEin's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
Hey all, Just a real quickie here, I am running a 1.8.1 version career save and I seem to have an issue with the AVAS on the MK1 command pod. When I turn the AVAS on I can't hear the altitude callouts on ascent/descent, don't know if that's a bug or not an implemented feature but I thought I would check here first. I only ask as I am fairly certain I remembered the IVA on the ASET pack, having altitude callouts with AVAS (in like 1.6) but I don't know if a similar feature was implemented with the AVAS here. Cheers for the time. -
Alas no luck, an entirely different gremlin exists in my system. Thanks for the help though, I think its clear enough that the fault does not lie in RPM Edit: Uninstalling Astronomer's visual pack seems to have fixed it. Edit2: Having meticulously reinstalled the different modules AVP I cannot now reporduce the low-res glitch. fml. So, whatever caused the problem just vanished when uninstalling AVP but failed to return when I reinstalled it. So make of that what you will. :$

Lol, even without RPM or AEST my stock craft look low res, especially the panel that says 'MECO', 'SAS', 'HEAT' etc... Ugh, welp...time to spend the whole damn day figuring out what this new hell is :D

I didn't change anything other than a few of the priorities in the Emergency Shutdown settings but I was still getting the 0 reading before I did this. I did a clean install to KSP 1.3 and ran only the latest AmpYear mod but it still didn't work (refer my third post on this page and its output log). In the VAB I can see power production if only the manager is selected. The second I switch to the Dark-side and solar calcs it shows that I am producing nothing (which I assume makes sense since I dont have RTGs and not producing power on the darkness) This again is at launch showing the batt recharging but still showing no production, also not that the Ampyear icon in the toolbar is red (dunno if that is relevant in any way or if it should be green). As requested here is the output log using the debug mode: https://www.dropbox.com/s/rcfso4x14tpce80/output_log.txt?dl=0

Well I think I may be going crazy or have misunderstood something...because even if my craft is charging up the Ampyear keeps showing Power prod as 0. You can see here the craft is recharging its batteries from 75% to 77% but I still get Power prod (total power prod of the vessel) as zero. It is my understanding that it should give me a dynamic number indicating how much EC I am generating in real time based off things like solar panels and RTGs, etc..but I have yet to find it to give me a non-zero output.

So I decided to run a test, now using KSP 1.3 and Ampyear version 1.4.9.0 with 0 other mods but still have the same no power produced issue. Again the output log:https://www.dropbox.com/s/zltlytte4oenesz/output_log.txt?dl=0 Is there some thing wrong with how I am using the plugin?

No luck I am afraid, it might be some horrendous conflict from one of my mods (maybe RemoteTech 2 or Kerbalism). Oh well, thanks for trying

Ah no worries mate, good on you for keeping things going though. So just to check the issue is because I am running an older version of KSP?

As someone else mentioned I too am experiencing problems with EC generation showing 0 despite using multiple stock solar panels, however, I am not using Kopernicus. At any rate here is the file: https://www.dropbox.com/s/zltlytte4oenesz/output_log.txt?dl=0 Additional info: the Ampyear version is 1.4.6.0 from CKAN and I am running KSP 1.2.2...so, I don't know if that might be the issue or not. Any help would be amazing, thanks! Edit: Now with pi! )

@ShotgunNinja: Nothing new to report on the bug hunting front but I am dropping in to say this mod is amazing! You are amazing for doing this!! Gah, why are you so amazing???
-
That sounds about right. I'll test and see if I can get the UI to detect the antenna without RT
-
@ShotgunNinja Loving the mod thus far! Quick question though, does having Remote Tech installed disable the antennas from factoring into quality of life. I remembered in the previous versions that having an antenna on the command pod factored into "other factors" in the mission planner for the Quality of Life checklist (where the kerbals presumably could call home) but this no longer seems to be the case for me - or at least since installing a few other mods, I'll comb through my recent mods and see what caused it but I just thought I would double check with you that you didnt remove the antenna improving quality of life feature.
-
Whoops, missed that in my excitement! Thanks
-
@ShotgunNinja Awesome work man!! Just to confirm though, Remotetech is now compatible with this mod?
-
@ShotgunNinja This is looking like an amazing mod and I am having fun with it thus far. The major changes I would like to see have already been brought up by others before, particularly the malfunctions and the ability to see your active connections (some visual cue like Remotetech has to make it very clear a relay network is running smoothly). I am still tweaking my designs to see what the ideal payload - cost ratio is now that I have to factor in heavier supplies like food and shielding but I am defintely excited to see where this mod will go. Do you by any chance have a rough idea/schedule for when you might be ready with the next version? Thanks again for this mod!
-
Cheers, Aqua. Will mark try it out and get back to you.

So first off, I am running KSP 0.24.2 and the SCANsat v7.0 (v7rc5) and MKS 0.20.9. As far as I am aware both these mods are correctly compatible for KSP.24, however, I cannot get SCANsat to work at all in my game. The parts are available and I can install them on my rockets, but they do not deploy, the SCANsat toolbar does not work (I cannot open any of the windows or setting pages) and its not at all responsive. I have re-installed the mod as well as the previous v7 build of the mod but neither seems to be fixing the issue. From my limited grasp of this it feels like it may be a plugin issue or an incorrect mod version but according to the glithub releases I have installed the correct version. Any ideas where I am going wrong? Cheers EDIT: Log file: https://www.dropbox.com/s/l1oz03rha532kbk/output_log.zip?dl=0 For the reproduction I would recommend installing SCANsat v7.0 (the v7rc5 file) on KSP 0.24.2 and also have installed the MKS mod (for the karbonite resource, I do not have kethane mods installed). By all accounts this should prevent you from using SCANsat in any way whatsoever and also should glitch out the dv calculation and burn-time estimates when plotting maneuver nodes in the map view.
