  1. Depends on the craft I'm launching. Something that just needs LKO, like a ScanSAT, gets 72km. Just above the atmosphere, minimised ÃŽâ€v. Anything that is designed for Mun/Minmus goes to 100km. Anything else gets 150 (to get around the 120k time warp limit), like Duna ships and space stations. -Carlpilot
  2. I set difficulty to "Easy", then disable "Auto Crew Hire", "Stock Ships", and "Indestructible Facilities". -Carlpilot
  3. Okay, here's some pictures, I hope this can explain the problem well. -Carlpilot
  4. 0.13.2: Acquired game 0.13.2: Landed on Mun 0.15.0: Landed on Minmus 0.17.1: Landed on Duna 0.17.1: Landed on Laythe 0.17.1: Impacted Eve at unbelievable speed 0.17.1: Impacted Moho at (unbelievable speed)^2 0.90.0: Landed on Duna, career mode, no MechJeb or other junk except Kerbal Engineer -Carlpilot
  5. It happens with all my unmanned vessels. One particularly uncontrollable example: OKTO2 Short 1.25m fuel tank Rockomax 48-7S -Carlpilot
  6. My LKO is mostly clear, I have a ton of garbage in a 750k polar orbit, though. I shot down (well, more like just shot) a malfunctioning SCANsat. And then there's my space station. Each time I dock an ATV to the station, I jettison one of the Procedural Fairing body panels so a Kerbal can get inside and take the contents courtesy of the Kerbal Attachment System. There are probably about 50 upper stages and 50 pieces of miscellaneous junk in my 150-170k elliptic LKO, all within 15km of my station. -Carlpilot
  7. All my unmanned vessels, modded or stock, once they are in space, they begin to rotate! They are not rotating, and are clearly out of an atmosphere. The rotation starts slowly, then increases to a speed which makes it impossible to pick out details on the vessel. It tends to rotate left, like if the "A" key was stuck down. I can still engage SAS. It appears this only occurs in Stability Assist mode. -Carlpilot
  8. Ferram Aerospace has an option for this, but it's only for Surface mode. -Carlpilot
  9. I have flown to Duna several times by Mechjeb before in Sandbox mode. Never have I flown the route in stock career, until now! -Carlpilot
  10. Wow. This game looks great. I downloaded the Prototype Zero, and crashed into everything, then landed on everything (except the gas planet, I tried ). Question 1: Is there going to be a science system like KSP where we need to collect data from other planets in the microverse to unlock new technologies? Question 2: How big is the microverse? Is it finite, or procedurally generated infinitely? -Carlpilot
  11. I once thought this challenge was impossible; Here's my entry, the Mercury A -Carlpilot
  12. I imagine Laythe as being a place with a breathable atmosphere and salt-water oceans. It is covered in light cirrus clouds and experiences frequent light snowfall. Duna is a cold, red planet with very fine, but slightly wet dust that sticks to your landing legs. There are some rare sandstorms, but the weather is mostly clear, -Carlpilot
  13. I used HyperEdit to kill all the velocity on a random OKTO I had in a 500km polar Kerbin orbit, the navball read "NaN", turned black, and the game crashed -Carlpilot
  14. About 1/6 of the total fuel is left, so I just leave it in orbit. -Carlpilot
  15. Use [imgur] tags to embed your album, otherwise, nice screenshots
  16. Orbital Habitation 2 is here in 0.90-check the first post for details and pictures! -Carlpilot
  17. I was testing a Kerbin system crew shuttle, and it launches perfectly (aside from an RCS thruster being knocked off by a Procedural Fairing), and it lands on the Mun perfectly. Once it lands, it immediately starts to topple, so I throttle up to full thrust, in an attempt to get back into a stable Munar orbit. While it is still burning to a suborbital trajectory, the fuel runs out. Completely out, and the RCS is not stable enough to push the shuttle because an RCS thruster was knocked off during Kerbin orbit boost, and it enters an unrecoverable flat spin (it can happen in a vacuum, apparently!), so Bill Kerman bails out, and rides with it along its trajectory, until about 10000 metres above the surface. Then, he turns on his EVAPack, and manages to land safely (after a little tumble) at 1.00 units of propellant left.
  18. I don't have FAR installed and my jet-mode R.A.P.I.E.R is only 100 thrust...
  19. Hello, I am experiencing an issue with my modded copy of Beta 0.90.0 Every few flights I make (appears to be only in Career mode), after a bit of flight, at around 25000 metres above Kerbin sea level, the WASD keys do nothing, as well as Shift/Ctrl and my joystick throttle. -EnvironmentalVisualEnhancements -Kerbal Attachment System -KAX (Kerbal Aircraft Expansion) -Kerbal Engineer -KerbinSide -Infernal Robotics -Procedural Fairings -Stage Recovery Mod -TweakScale Any help is appreciated, -Carlpilot
  20. The engine might not have enough power to lift the rocket (despite the fact that Kerbal Engineer says a TWR of 1.39). Try adding more power, to see if Kerbal Engineer's TWR calculation is incorrect. Hope I helped! -Carlpilot
