  1. You could try to camber the corners as well, to increase turning speed. Think tilt monorail.
  2. I don't like the look of this... Luckily I have a stash of boosters.
  3. You should know better! I'm gonna go with Starwhip.
  4. That's not a name I've been called before.... Captain Sierra
  5. banned for spelling mandalorian wrong.
  6. When I install this via CKAN, it shows up in the plugin dir, in the CKAN folder, but it is still not visible in the active/dormant plugins window. edit: also using linux
  7. Is it possible to dredge this thread back from the deep left field? I started with stock, and since trying FAR it seems to be a) more difficult ( more natural. TeeGee, I don't know what inside info you have on what 'stock' aero will become. If I had to guess I'd say you're probably speculating, the same as everyone else. If I had to take a second guess, I would say that it will be more like FAR than what the stock model is now, except with a couple more considerations thrown (i.e. thrust - atmospheric pressure balances) to make LKO a tiny bit more balanced. Anything out of atmo as far as I can tell is pretty bang on. In any case, the new 'stock' is unavailable. All we can do is speculate on what it will or won't be, and make do with what we can get for now, and for now, I'm feeling more satisfied with FAR than stock. I hope that makes sense.
  8. Project Seed.... Got a webpage there?
  9. I'm amazed that thing didn't fall over on the pad! But on tailfins... I actually found it easier with my SSTO when I took them off. I don't know what that means.
  10. banned for cheesy '90s pop reference in sig, and panhandling.
  11. RTFM http://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/threads/12384
  12. Maybe that's what a triple dare is... you have to be shown 3 times before it's valid ownage.
  13. My persistence file was backed up, and the Kraken chokes on 64bit linux and foams out, drowning the next poster in kraken foam.
  14. Skycraned in a TNT minecart! Closed because Karbonite made it redundant.
  15. Just Tedrigh Kerman riding a rocket with Kerbin eclipsing the sun behind him.
  16. AFAIK, using basic physics to achieve a goal is not 'cheating'... pretty sure heavy payloads are what rockets are for. You funny!
  17. When scrolling through vessels in the tracking centre and it zooms the view in and out... This bugs me more than it probably should. Some GUI text being unreadable if the background is a bit busy (maybe a semi-transparent box or a box with adjustable transparency around text would be good) Clicking on the 'description' window under the vessel name in the VAB/SPH (among other things) and it grabs a part of the ship!!! Grabbing the wrong control on a transfer node, because the one you want is close to/behind it. 50% throttle on Launch... What's it for?
  18. Best game dreams I ever had were Fallout 3... I definitely OD'd hard on that game. Yet to have Kerbal dreams, but I have to admit I've been sending myself to sleep thinking of mission designs and what I'd like to accomplish next... :|
  19. Update: So now I got it. I had to basically start redesigning my rockets from the bottom up, and interestingly my first working model was an SSTO that launched a probe into LKO with no tail fins... Keeping the TWR down was key. I was basically building OP rockets to combat stock drag, and with no penalties. Mind you I was using the same lifters for getting whatever I needed wherever within Kerbins SOI. Now with FAR I have to design stuff a bit more deliberately, so I installed Procedural Fairings and that also helps (My SCANsat probes were getting destroyed off the top of my launchers during liftoff.) So yes, FAR is a win for me... even if it means I have to take things a bit more slowly during the initial design phase, and ditch all of my stock designs.
  20. I think you're overthinking it. The chase can be fun, however Women can smell desperation and it drives them away. Be yourself, smile a lot, get out more. Forget about picking up. If you are happy and confident, the right one will show up when the time is right. And yeah. take every 'friend-zone' as a compliment and a step in the right direction.
  21. This is when you know a game has really got a grip on you.
  22. It must be quite difficult to use this method to land accurately, I would imagine, especially if the terrain is mountainous.
