Sovereign - SSTO Cruiser Class Dropship
KerBlam replied to Cupcake...'s topic in KSP1 The Spacecraft Exchange
Yeah I'm using heaps of mods. It doesn't seem to occur with all craft, but if there's clipping going on, then yeah... I think it might be Venns stock revamp but I'm not sure. I'm pretty sure there's nothing on the runway though. -

Strangely, it self destructs as soon as I get it on the tarmac. :/ I've had this with other craft files as well... No idea. -

I'll give it a shot for sure. -
Because most other games don't offer anywhere near as much, especially with mods. This and Minecraft... If KSP and Minecraft had a baby, my god. The awesome.

The same person probably thinks all games are for kids. I don't know anybody who wouldn't enjoy KSP if they tried it.

'Not enough!' he screams while piling on more boosters.

Do you feel KSP is ready for 1.0?
KerBlam replied to hoojiwana's topic in KSP1 Suggestions & Development Discussion
I've come to terms with it. I purchased KSP when it went Beta, thinking 'Great, it's going to be fun watching this progress through the Beta versions on it's way to becoming complete' and fully thinking that Squad would wait until Unity 5 was released before they 'went gold'.. So for me the sudden rush was a bit disappointing, because I feel that a lot more could be improved on and polished and I really love being privy to that process. I'm a dork for stuff like that. I think KSP is fantastic.. It's helping me live out my frustrated inner-childs dream of space travel, and teaching me stuff that I really probably don't need to know, but I'm happy to learn anyway. So... provided that SQUAD maintain their promise that KSP will continue to be improved upon after 1.0, and that it will one day receive the 64bit love of U5. Not as soon as I would have liked but I just have to deal with it. I'm happy. Go for Gold KSP! And keep being awesome KSP community. -
Would you/have you deleted stock parts to save memory?
KerBlam replied to RobotsAndSpaceships's topic in KSP1 Discussion
Unless he's running 64bit Linux I haven't gone down the removing parts thing, I haven't felt the need yet, as my computer is also a yardbeast and can just take it. If I was going to, stock would probably go last. Mostly because I like trying out other peoples craft files on occasion. Also because I'm afraid if I do I'll lose some of my stuff in sandbox. I've got things in space that probably have stock parts on them. -
I shook the box... The person below me has a toaster and knows how to use it.

Thanks for this KasperVld. It's good to know that KSP will continue to get the attention it deserves.

UNITY 5 is available as a beta for those that have pre-ordered UNITY 5. link Can anyone tell me: Has SQUAD been developing and testing KSP in the UNITY 5 beta? If they aren't, is it because they have not pre-ordered UNITY 5, and never intend to release KSP on the U5 Engine.

Nope! Captain Sierra

Do you feel KSP is ready for 1.0?
KerBlam replied to hoojiwana's topic in KSP1 Suggestions & Development Discussion
As far as I'm concerned (which isn't really very far, honestly) The lack of 64bit support and PROPER multi-threading, multi-cpu support is the single greatest limitation of this game. Until it's addressed, I can't see how it could be considered ready for release. Any gamer that has to 'dumb down' their gaming PC to one core and a third (minimum) of their RAM in order to play a newly released game is going to scoff at this. I know there are workarounds which improve performance slightly, but realistically, the majority of people aren't going to want to bother with a linux partition, or deleting parts, or creating shell scripts... These things are going to hurt SQUAD if they release early using Unity 4. Unity 5 is in Beta, it's available for use for people who pre-ordered. Has SQUAD been testing using this BETA? Why not release a test version of KSP while it's still in beta i.e. v0.9.2, using beta Unity 5, so the community could help them debug it for an official release built on Unity 5?? -
I am using FAR... and a very shallow, tiny bit early entry at the time when I hit it. I just think it's bad placement of either the mountain or the runway. I'd like to put a beacon on top of it, because it was a night time landing and I was flying blind just relying on instruments. I didn't see it until my plane exploded on the side of it. I hit it quite close to the top.

Female Kerbals
KerBlam replied to TheCanadianVendingMachine's topic in KSP1 Suggestions & Development Discussion
No but it can be managed by the users choice of Hardware/OS... This is a conversation for another thread really, and has been had a million times, but it doesn't matter what bugfixes SQUAD implements, they aren't going to fix that issue until the game gets UNITY 5. -
Female Kerbals
KerBlam replied to TheCanadianVendingMachine's topic in KSP1 Suggestions & Development Discussion
What's going on with your game only running for 15 minutes? That's certainly not a universal problem with the game. I think the Kerbettes is a non-issue. They've said it was simple to implement and it should add too much memory load. They hyped it, because they obviously thought people would think it was an exciting addition... I think it will be great, and I'm sure the guys down at KSC are thrilled. The cupola will see some action for sure. -
Female Kerbals
KerBlam replied to TheCanadianVendingMachine's topic in KSP1 Suggestions & Development Discussion
I don't think it matters either way... If the devs wanted to add female Kerbals from the start, which is my understanding, then good on them. It's their project they can do what they want with it ultimately. Maybe they can add a makeup room to KSC as well, where they can dress up their Kerbals. If SQUAD is doing it because a bunch of [people] kicked up a stink about the lack of empowered female Kerbals in the game, that's something different. If that were the case and I was the dev, I would have created a back-story where the Kerbals reproduce asexually or grow out of the ground like plants just to thwart [those people]. All jokes aside, I think it will definitely help young girls who are interested in Spacetravel to appreciate KSP, which I would encourage so much more than 99% of everything else that's available for kids these days... -
Female original three possible names
KerBlam replied to LABHOUSE's topic in KSP1 Suggestions & Development Discussion
Isn't it possible that they are reproduce asexually, or come out of the ground like little green space-obsessed plants? Has anybody met Jebs Mother? -
