  1. Wow that's impressive. Not just of squad but also of you. Congratulations Sandworm!
  2. Personally I use the For Science! mod, it lets me bypass all of the hassle but doesn't feel cheaty to me. Because yeah, clicking on all the "get science" is one of the least fun parts of KSP.
  3. It's easily worth full price though.
  4. Single launch land on all the planets and moons and then come back landing on the runway.
  5. If a new version comes out, if I find a new mod I want to try, if my game save is corrupted then I'll start a new save.
  6. It's probably around 50/50 for me. The rockets that don't see much piloting time also generally don't get much editing time either. The ones that take the longest to design usually also take long to pilot, it's either an interplanetary "there and back again adventure" for my kerbals, which takes an extensive amount of planning since I am using Kerbalism or it's a set of probes that is meant to orbit and land on every body. For example when I went to Duna for the first time I did it with a probe that detached 4 probes, 1 set to orbit Duna, 1 set to land and the same for Ike. Designing that took a bit of time but it took a while to set up one orbit, then land another, then do an intercept and orbit and finally intercept and land.
  7. If life support means just food then no, if it means stress, radiation, oxygen and food and is toggleable and default set to off in sandbox (and on in career with hibernation for medium and death for hard). Then yes.
  8. I once tried to do one of those fancy gravity assist runs where you bounce between Eve and Kerbin to get out to one of the extra planets in Outer Planets. I gave up after.. 30 years I think? It just took too long and I got bored.
  9. Yes, I am playing with Kerbalism on so old probes and satellites will eventually break apart. Once that happens I just reclassify them as debris. The odds of a collision with debris is astronomically low anyway.
  10. I liked the list. Don't worry it's not all internet hate machine all the time in here.
  11. Going from low Kerbin orbit to low Moho orbit and then back again would take over 8km/s. At that huge delta-v it's actually cheaper to use a the Nerv. Another example is if you have an already heavy payload. If for example you're moving a research station to another planet's orbit then the Nerv becomes cheaper. Since you'll need orders of magnitude fewer fuel tanks. Edit- if however you're just sending a tiny probe then the LV-1 Ant can give you more than enough delta-v even if you're going very far. The ant is super light so your final weight will be very light too.
  12. In my experience a single capsule with parachute and heatshield can gain about 1m/s from a decoupler of equal size. So basically nothing. Just use rockets, tiny rockets work fine.
  13. Going outside of IVA is cheating, even to go into map mode and add maneuver nodes. You should calculate that stuff by hand!
  14. *wishing you luck* and welcome!
  15. Trying a "legit" kerbalism/interstellar career run, finally have the science to make warp drives, finally have the money. When I finally unlock warp drives the game won't stop crashing. I just wanted to explore the system in my ftl space ship but nope. Feels bad man
  16. At a certain size recycling the air and growing food becomes cost efficient. But I'm also playing with insterstellar so I figured that a mega expensive warp drive would probably help.
  17. I think 20, it was merely a mini tour around the mun, minimus and a dip into solar orbit. For 3 stars.
  18. Here are a few things you can do: Chores, do some cleaning around the house Do your homework if you're in school. Get a job or try to work overtime if you already have one Spend more time with your kids or loved ones Try to find loved ones to add to your life And THEN, when you feel like you need a break from reality, then and only then kick back with some Kerbal Space Program. Or just play some other game.
  19. Agreed, I've found that I always do better if I go faster earlier. You're only going too fast if you're burning up.
  20. http://mods.curse.com/ksp-mods/kerbal/220366-diverse-kerbal-heads-1-0 I googled and found this.
  21. Yeah if you're bringing a mobile processing lab then it makes sense to have a detachable lander. Though, my advice would be to have 2 command modules on the landing craft, so that you get 2 sets of experiments. One loaded into each command module. One set is used in the mobile processing plant and another is brought home.
  22. 1. Show pics 2. Make sure the COL is behind COM 3. Make sure wheels are pointing straight down.
