  1. Demon Ostriches overtake only natural Arboretum. Joolish
  2. Banned for having your signature under construction.
  3. There is a mod called persistent rotation, which allows rotation to continue during time warp. I'm not sure what exactly it means by that, but it sounds like what you want. If two ships collide while on-rails, they simply pass through each other without incident. The game counts asteroids as parts, and they count as a separate ship if not attached to anything else, so behave in the same way. Technically it removes ships when they go beyond physics range in thick atmosphere, at about 0.3 atmospheres of pressure IIRC. And the physics range was increased from 2.5 km to 22.5km in 1.0

  5. Have you never heard of the great forum crash of 2013? Something crashed and made the forum lose all its data. The backup was from several months earlier. There are no users with join dates from about September/October 2012 to March 2013, because literally everything in that window was lost. I don't know the exact details because I wasn't here back then. EDIT AFTER REPLY: Oh, November to March then? #NotAMod
  6. Banned for using an absurd number of blank lines, and for having a full stop (or period if you speak American) at the end of each word.
  7. A cheese sandwich. Well, I guess it is quite a flat surface. The object closest to your right elbow will be stuck to your left knee for the rest of your life.
  8. This looks interesting. I'll try this out over the weekend. If I come up with something good enough, I'll make a video in which I complete the challenge and then land on the largest planet I can manage using entirely ion power. EDIT: I've had a go at this. The challenge itself is pretty easy if you keep the ship small, as Foxster has demonstrated above. I just don't have enough time or patience for the really long burn times required for what I had planned to do.
  9. There's always been a noticeable performance drop whenever you're looking towards Kerbin's horizon and not straight down or up. It's just that people with higher end PCs don't notice it - I play on a laptop with an i3 processor (Intel HD graphics FTW!) I've not noticed it any more than there was before 1.0 But recently (as in 1.0.4) I've noticed a further performance drop whenever the active ship is in the atmosphere (even if looking straight up) and above about 750m/s, which would suggest an issue with krakensbane. [EDIT: And I'm playing mostly stock. When entering the atmosphere at around orbital velocity I'm getting more than one second per frame for several frames.] Could this be what you guys are seeing?
  10. I remember it lagging with fairly small ships in older versions. It improved significantly in 0.23 or thereabouts, although that was around the time I got this laptop with Windows 8, as opposed to a 4 or 5 year-old Vista. Since then, the performance has gradually worsened in each version, making 0.90 irritatingly slow at times. There was a noticeable improvement in 1.0 but 0.23.5 still seems to perform slightly better for me. The 0.18.3 demo feels extremely laggy now, although perhaps that's because I'm used to it running better so it seems worse than it is. So 0.23.5 is the best for me, but if Unity 5 makes even the slightest difference (and everyone seems to think it'll make a huge difference) then 1.1 will be the best.
  11. "Save picture than look at it" Or you could just right click, open image in new tab. It looks fancy but a little impractical. The signature itself is rather basic with most of the picture missing. 6/10
  12. So subtle even I don't get it. Who's Brian Regan? Banned for wasting rocket fuel.
  13. I would imagine that's just too high and too fast for science sensor to properly register the atmosphere.
  14. 1/10 I saw you on the thread I was just looking at, but that was the first time I've seen you.
  15. On the contrary, I found MechJeb very useful when I first started playing, because it showed me what to do and how to do it. But let's not argue about what autopilots may or may not be good for.
  16. 9/10 You're all over the place. And you joined in the same month as me.
  17. Why is it possible to send yourself a private message? (I just discovered that by accident) EDIT: Now that's a spectacular 300th post...
