  1. I love this!!! Papa smurf would approve!
  2. Ive made a craft file to illustrate this https://kerbalx.com/erasmusguy/stock-hinge-ramp-door-thing just press w or s to move the ramp and undock on the docking port to errrr undock the ramp.
  3. I use editor extensions redux to allow you to move parts further apart than in the stock game, but you can still build something similar in stock. The ibeam is attached to that coupler off to the right. The rcs thrusters are placed at either end of the ibeam and I moved them out ( I guess I could have left them where they where though). Vanilla stock version The thermometers are attached to the octagonal struts and moved into position.
  4. The hinge is a variation of the one invented by Majorjim! It works by the ramp being a separate craft after the decoupler is staged, but it's held in place by the thermometers. When its closed it docks onto the docking port jr and its considered part of the ship again. The reaction wheel allows the ramp to move. hope that helps.
  5. The Rhino Mk1 Features 2 fully clipped hatch seats, 4 fully functional exhausts, Non functional smoke launchers, and some headlights. Working ramp for "easy" access for up to 14 troupers. https://kerbalx.com/erasmusguy/40k-Rhino-MK1 for the craft file. Now, I'm off to invade the Mun!
  6. Just a little 40k Rhino mk1 before I get too absorbed in stock fighter planes Just needs a working rear door and its good to go.
  7. Was there any pattern to which wheels flipped direction? Was it the ones at the back by any chance?
  8. The "finished" product. I'm still going to work on it from time to time though.
  9. Thank you! Was just thinking it's a shame we never figured out how to do a stock warthunder. It would have been fun.
  10. progress report Made the fuselage longer and made the tail larger and moved it backwards. Improved the look of the cockpit though you can't see it in this picture. Still to do. More balancing, fix the tailplane, add details. Move the cockpit forwards so my ocd doesn't flip out because the lines on the cockpit doesn't match the yellow line on the airframe.
  11. https://kerbalx.com/erasmusguy/1920-truck-refueler
  12. Someone on kerbalx told me about it. If you use shielded in the tweakables the gear will deploy whilst in a fairing and it works.
  13. The design is okay, but since the airframe is made of fairing, you cannot redeploy the front landing gear after its been raised :\
  14. No jet engine as of yet, only boosters.
  15. Its got a rtg in the front, but if you wanted to you could flip those panels. Just thought they looked better that way round
  16. Just a 1920's style truck.
  17. Do you think it created any thrust? I tried making a cam to provide the flapping motion but my skills arent up to much and I couldn't get it to hold together long enough to test anything Ill try again on my days off.
  18. Can you add a bearing to the wings? You could then use octos mounted to the main frame of the body to turn the wings as they rise and fall by them hitting the wing. I'll make an example later to illustrate.
  19. My first electric powered plane, also the first time using the @klond variation of the @Majorjim! of my wheeless design like bearing. The motor is tiny and the power is awful but it's strangely fun to fly. I hope to get back into KSP again now.
  20. The Vomit drive, so called due to the unfortunate side effect of having the main section rotate out of sync with the rest of the craft, inducing travel sickness. As far as I know it is the first of its kind (and may be the last!). The craft works only by using angular momentum. The sas unit is on a bearing with allows it to spin, which in turn rotates the crafts main section through angular momentum. No drive parts are connected to each other. Shortly after creating the vomit drive, Kerbins finest engineers called the drive pointless, before calling it the work of the Kraken as well since it seemed to work by magic. Eventually its creator, Erasmusguy Kerman was banished to Eeloo! https://kerbalx.com/erasmusguy/vomit-drive-warning-might-make-you-feel-sick for the craft file.
  21. http://imgur.com/TJKSmev it still needs a ton of work on it but I have new gear designs to try out. It only works at low speeds and sometime not at all :,( I use editor extensions redux mod so I can move the parts further a part then is normally possible.
  22. It works far better than mine. I never bothered to improve my diff.
