Well look at that, so I do. Had forgotten about these. I've got UKI installed as well, but I never see ReplacementParts listed in any of their converter flow charts. Just MaterialKits and Machinery.

From looking at the KBPS .cfg files, I wasn't seeing that they do? Although you're right in that the file lists the RecyclePercent as .66. So why is it showing up as 89% in the build assist in-game? (Also, what's up with this ReplacementPart mechanic?)

Could someone double-check my math so I'm clear on my understanding of how recyclers and greenhouses work? I'm trying to design a ship for 12 Kerbals with a 10-year mission lifespan (Roundtrip to Sarnus and back). I'm using KPBS hab and greenhouses, which (as I understand) have similar mechanics to USI's stock modules. My understanding is as follows: 12 Kerbins * 16.2 Supplies per day per kerbal = 192.4 supplies consumed per day. Using the Habitat MK2 recyclers at 89% reduces total vessel consumption to 21.384 Supplies per day. 5 years * 426 days = 4260 days * 21.384 supplies per day = 91,095.84 supplies needed for a 10 year mission. Am I correct so far? For using the greenhouses, the .cfg files for KPBS greenhouses say they consume .0052 Mulch and .0008 Fertilizer, and produce .0060 Supplies. I assume that's per second, so per day each greenhouse will consume 112.32 Mulch, 17.28 Fertilizer, and produce 129.6 Supplies. So . . . wow, I don't need three greenhouses on this ship. BUT GUYS THEY LOOK SO COOL. Anyway, if my math works out the greenhouses need 6.5 Mulch + 1 Fertilizer = 7.5 Supplies. So assuming that my little Kerbals keep producing mulch, to ensure that I'm able to have enough supplies for a 10 year mission I will need: A small baseline of Supplies, and 12,146.112 Fertilizer. Does this sound right? Does workload or vessel efficiency or kerbal XP tie into this in any way?

As I was taking screenshots to ask about what could be wrong, I may have figured out part of it. It seems that the Cultivator mechanic of the greenhouses shuts down if you're out of storage space for more Supplies? Makes sense so you're not wasting mulch/fertilizer. Regarding the "Life Support" mechanic of all the habitats and greenhouses though. Every time I enable them, and then go back to KSC, and then come back to the base, all Life Support mechanics show as "inactive" even though I enabled them all before I left and they still show as started, according to the button. Is this an issue for the USI thread, or do I not understand the mechanics here? *Edit* Looks like my question was answered a split-second before I posted this. Seems to be a stock bug regarding EC usage. Thanks guys! At least I know I'm not insane now. -

Really looking forward to the UKS and USI-LS support! For my own references, what isn't working in regards to USI-LS? I seem to have some weird things where recyclers on the habitats and greenhouses don't function, and the food production of the greenhouses only works when I'm focused on the base itself. Didn't want to log an issue if it was a known problem... -

Excellent, so while my current ships/bases will look and act as normal (with the old garage), it's simply not an option in the parts list in the SPH/VAB anymore? -

Just as an FYI to anyone else using this mod, the Ring component will not show up in any Career or Science games because it's missing the Tech Level information in the cfg file (the hub component shows up fine). Adding the following lines into the ringstandard.cfg file will get them to show up in the parts list: TechRequired = start entryCost = 0

I mention this as a follow-up in case anyone else asks you about this in the future, or if it comes up again, but I figured out the problem. The Ring section was missing the Tech Level information in the cfg file, so while it would show up fine in Sandbox games, there was no way to get it to show up in Career. Copying in the relevant information from the Bearing's Config file made it show up.

Doesn't this already exist? I thought I saw "Plant Growth Study" as a right-click option for the greenhouses. -
Hey guys. I'm not sure if this is a known bug or problem, but is there a chance we could get an extra integer displayed for the quantities in the EL build window? As it is it stacks and you can't see how much you've got.

But I would think that the game should be able to at least show all the other proper/normal saves, and just skip over (or show, but with an error) files that it sees as corrupted. Thanks again! -

Squelch, I appreciate the reply but I believe I tracked it down to a corrupted persistent safe file in one of the saves that was copied over. Deleting it and reloading it from a quicksave allowed me to keep my Career game going, and allowed all the other saves to show up. Thank you! -
Out of curiosity, is there any mod that will show (in the VAB or SPH) what the adjusted output of scaled engines will be?)

Hello, I have a stock 1.1.2 x64 installation on Windows 7 64-bit, and I can't see any save files (either ones that I copy in, or any new ones that I create). I copied some saved games from another stock installation into the Saves folder, and now I can't see ANY saved games at all. Even if I create a new game, play it and save it, it won't show up in the main menu after I quit and relaunch the game. Nothing shows up in the "Load Game" box, it's completely blank. But when I check the Saves folder, every time I make a new game it DOES show up in the folder. Okay, I'll put them into the folder with the rest of that patch from February. Thank you for all the work! Really makes the game a lot more fun for plebs like me. Um, this is really shameful to have to ask, but . . . how do I actually download those files? Clicking on the file names just brings me to a big page of code, of which I understand none. -

The core is in the Utilities folder, but the Ring isn't. According to their config files, I think they should both be in the Utilities folder and when sorted by name should be right next to each other. Search function doesn't pull up anything, and I've combed through every other catagory manually looking for it. No such luck. Is it possible that it's using the wrong icon or something? *edit* oh I guess I can't paste images in here. Hang on, uploading.

My apologizes for asking silly questions, but I can't seem to find the Ring component for this mod. The core part shows up fine, but for the life of me I can't see the Ring anywhere in any of the part categories. Is there some other sort of jiggery-pokery that I need to get it to show up?
