Can anyone figure out what's wrong with this article?

Ellon Musk, with two Ls? -
Did you really need a lander that big? I mean, it's Phobos. You had 235 units of fuel in that thing when you first started the engines. Is that for redundancy? Good idea. What does the surface look like in the day?

Whose credits?

Archaeopteryx sit on your ships returning? I wonder if the crew heard bird sounds on reentry.

Occasionally. When I can make a pun from it.

Is this alternate solar system possible?
Findthepin1 replied to ChrisSpace's topic in Science & Spaceflight
Oh, okay. I might be able to do that. I am considering it.- 632 replies

Findthepin1 replied to ChrisSpace's topic in Science & Spaceflight
ChrisSpace, what exactly is the definition work? I think it means defining stuff but that doesn't feel right in the context of the thread. Perhaps I might possibly be able to maybe take over that role if needed, until you return. I need to know what it is, though.- 632 replies

Bots can do that? There's a description and everything. Even the formatting is done correct. I say it's a person. If someone developed a bot that could do that, I'd like to know how it works.

Jool was going to be called Meander originally, IIRC. What did that name represent?

The coolest stars are cool enough for chemical reactions to happen. Maybe around 1800-2000 Celsius. If there are chemical reactions, that might eventually lead to life.

Is this alternate solar system possible?

Hold the phone, we have a dilemma. What is to be done? Can we adjust the albedo enough to get the temperature above that? Can we do it realistically?- 632 replies

Does it snow CO2 at Earth's poles?
Findthepin1 replied to Findthepin1's topic in Science & Spaceflight
Oops, it's -78 Celsius. Whatever, still possible, that has still been surpassed fairly commonly. My question still stands. And has been answered. -
There isn't a link it's an actual book.

Water and methane are the only ones that have been seriously looked into, AFAIK. We the KSPers, however, have also discussed at least ammonia and liquid iron for life. There are probably more but they have been lost to time (AKA I am too lazy to go and look for them).

All the planets would be essentially independent of each other. There is no quick way to get between these locations. The asteroids would also be basically independent. Once something is in space it could be anywhere and no one is able to keep tabs on it unwillingly. Tldr the Wild West.

In the book Aurora by KSR, they have a ship that goes to a super-Earth exoplanet and its Laythe-analog moon. They first accelerated out of Sol's system using a really big laser fired at them, sort of like what is being discussed here.

5D data storage in quartz crystal
Findthepin1 replied to RainDreamer's topic in Science & Spaceflight
How is it 5D? Sorry I didn't watch the video so IDK if it explains it there. -
I was thinking about Mars' polar CO2 ice and it occurred to me that since CO2 freezes at like -56 Celsius, shouldn't Earth have these environments, at least temporarily? I see no reason why not, in the winter parts of inland Greenland, Siberia (probably) and Antarctica go below that temperature.

Neutron Star/ White Dwarf life possible?
Findthepin1 replied to fredinno's topic in Science & Spaceflight
There can be chemical reactions at the surface of Venus. Maybe on this small red dwarf there can be an alternative biochemistry of liquid iron or something. -
Neutron Star/ White Dwarf life possible?
Findthepin1 replied to fredinno's topic in Science & Spaceflight
What about on a star? 2MASS J0523-1403 is the coldest known proper star, at 1801 Celsius. I believe that is cool enough for chemical reactions to happen. Chemical reactions theoretically can lead to life. Therefore there theoretically can be life on some colder stars. -
Long-term Laythe Mission (pic heavy) - ^_^ With Part 45 ^_^
Findthepin1 replied to Brotoro's topic in KSP1 Mission Reports
The picture looks like some sort of massive overturning of the crust has happened. Bigger than the largest volcanic eruptions. This sort of thing is supposed to have happened on Venus a long time ago. Laythe seems to have underwent a global resurfacing event. Are your kerbals on Laythe dead? I guess E.V.E.'s changes aren't merely visual. EDIT: Nvm, the coastline is the same. Perhaps it is algae mats emerging, lol. If your Kerbals are still alive, get to the floaty base thing and take a look at the seafloor. As has been suggested, it'd be easiest just to go with it
