... I don't think that there are Kerbal homes anywhere in-game. Interesting idea, but don't Kerbals float? You can tell that their spacesuit isn't the most complicated, and if they survive underwater okay then I don't see why the spacesuit would need to float. Still, underwater cities are very Kerbal.

Certainly. I mean, it's much more fun to come up with a vastly different universe based off direct observations than just assume the differences don't exist and are only caused by the developer's "laziness". For example: <offtopic>although unrelated, The Mun's description states that its discovery was "not all that long ago". Tylo was discovered as the first moon outside the Kerbin system, so probably after the Mun, and Bop is regarded in kerbal mythology as the "home of the Kraken". Thus, Kerbal mythology was still widely practiced "not all that long ago" instead of being the ancient religion that many players might assume it to be.</offtopic> On a more related note, the fact that the Mun was discovered "not all that long ago" and the fact that Tylo was discovered through photography, a fairly modern technology, is evidence of Kerbals living underground because they probably would have noticed it sooner if the lived on the surface with a clear view of the sky.

That's entirely possible. I wonder if you could somehow add buildings to Kerbin's terrain scatter? I think there once was a squadcast (remember those?) where Max (remember him?) said that kerbals did in fact live underground. But that was a long, log time ago. On the contrary, if Kerbals are plants, like some people think, than living underground might not work well for them. The space center still isn't evidence that they know advanced construction, however. Remember that the tier 1 space center isn't as advanced.

The title says it all. If Kerbals are an underground civilization, I would imagine their cities would be very interesting and unusual. I can't really think of anything more specific than that. I would imagine that if Kerbal civilization started underground, Kerbal homes probably started out as burrows of some kind, and it just grew from there.

A technically sandbox mission report on "Star Mods" showcases! The ONLY mods on this are mods showcased in "Star Mods". Career-only mods are skipped. [I'll probably directly copy the description from MMM in here later] ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Star Korp, a subsidiary of Tetragon Projects, is a private space program that attempts to renew the era of discovery that was once driven by the Kerbal Space Program, which is struggling under large funding cuts. IF YOU QUOTE THIS, PLEASE REMEMBER TO SNIP OUT THE IMAGES. THANKS! WEEK 1A: KS5 RESUPPLY 1 B9 Aerospace Cerillion planet pack Decal Stickers Hope you like it! [1.8.x] B9 Aerospace | Release 6.6.0 (Feb 5 2020)

Small suggestion about the mod- not a bugfix, just an idea. It is really, really hard to make a good spaceplane using the Mk2b cockpit because the heat tolerance is just a bit too low. In comparison with the other cockpits, even the other B9 cockpits, it has quite a low heat tolerance. I'm not very good at flying/building SSTO spaceplanes, but I don't think that I can get to orbit without hitting 1000 K. For comparison, while the Mk2b has a max temperature of 1000/2200, the S2 cockpit has a max tolerance of 1300/2500 and the stock Mk2 cockpit has a tolerance of 1400/2500. Perhaps this could be changed in the next update, but it's just a suggestion. Or I could just use the stock cockpit... I guess that works too.- 641 replies

Rock Collecting

Um... okay! Didn't expect this to happen, thankfully I just got back into KSP after a 3-4 month hiatus. I was just abandoning some more planet mods. Sure, I guess we can start this again, but at the moment I can't update the OP. -
SAME GOES FOR CHAPTER 5! End Times Career (Sorry, no graphic novel here, just a "normal" mission report!) A news quickly spread throughout Kerbin that 8 of the Kerbal Gods just decided to leave and stop working on the universe. This scared some kebals into believing that the remaining gods would destroy their planet and give up on this whole universe thing. (hence the name "End Times") Wernher Von Kerman thought these fears were idiotic, but after teaming up with Walt Kerman he managed to manipulate these fears to finally get funding for a space program! After all, if Kerbin was destroyed, Kerbals could still live in space, right? This is a HARD MODE career game, and no spacecraft will be tested outside the save in any "simulators". Just realized I forgot to mention that. Mods Used: Porkjet's unfinished part overhaul Hoojiwana's Stock Replacement Assets ALL of Roverdude's Umbra Space Industries mods- after all, he is one of the remaining "Gods", right? Kerbal Inventory System (PLUGIN ONLY)(1.2 PRE) OSE Workshop (PLUGIN ONLY)(1.2 PRE) Extraplanetary Launchpads (PLUGIN ONLY)(1.2 PENDING) Chapter 1: The Beginning Chapter 2: INTO SPACE!!1! Chapter 3: The Science Grind Chapter 4: Orbits and stuff If you liked this, please comment below why you liked it. If you didn't like it, please tell me how I can do better! If you have any comments, advice, or criticisms, please comment them below!

Need your own thread moved or locked? Post here.

Different request: If possible, could you delete my reply to myself in this thread so I can add a poll? Is there a way to delete your own post that I am missing? -
Yeah, I discovered that myself after messing around with these. It is kind of remarkable how accurate these parts were, they fit in so nicely with the new official porkjet parts! (other than the heatshield, of course, but that can probably be fixed.) Come on, Hoojiwana, only YOU can FINISH what PorkJet started!

What Facts Do We Know About The Devs Leaving?
ThatGuyWithALongUsername replied to Mycroft's topic in KSP1 Discussion
Thanks so much for clearing up all the details. The forums have still exploded anyway... -

I don't blame the developers for leaving, they have a good reason, but 1.3 isn't looking very good with only 10 developers including only 2.5 programmers. While the idea of 1.2 or 1.3 being the LAST update is kind of a worst-case scenario, it is entirely possible. Plausible, even. BACKUP YOUR GAMES, FOR THE END IS NEAR! -

Oh, right... yeah that's been dead, though not because I "quit the game forever" for a week (I still don't know why I wrote that) Thanks for noticing that!
