  1. Porkjet, Your mod won't load. The game stops and freezes when it loads the nuclear turbojet. It can't be a memory problem, since I tried removing almost all other mods, but it still happens. Please help? - - - Updated - - - When I remove it, the game loads fine. hmm. Oh well.
  2. I like it. It's a neat and useful part in a nice stockalike style. Why this isn't stock, I'll never know.
  3. I don't have one. Mine are generally named "test rocket" or "THINGY". That's because I'm not very good at naming things. I mean, just look at my username! Come on!
  4. Hmm, that's odd... maybe there's a secret message It does kinda look like one of those sound graph things, if you know what I mean.
  5. And it was only darkened because the brightness of the cockpit rendering was darker than the brightness of the nose cone picture. They're the same color.
  6. But we already have that - - - Updated - - - It's the small nose cone! It fits so perfectly!
  7. I just can't wait to put the new tiny jet engine on it and try flying a plane backwards.
  8. I agree. But there should be something to make them statistically different, like maybe having the fighter hold 2 kerbals and remove the nose on the Concorde one.
  9. Well, I'm back on the forums, but I'm afraid this mod is... uh... "postponed indefinitely". Sorry. PM me if you want to take over development, and I will give you a dev copy (Fluff still won't work, though). Remember, this is a stockalike mod, make sure to keep it that way, because that's what keeps it separate from all the other nova planet mods.
  10. Well, I guess I'm not done with this thread after all, and I'm staring to see some uses for removing the cone (A docking port jr., for example). Also, those who say that the NCS cone doesn't fit are wrong. Just look at the GIF. See? It fits so perfectly! The avionics cone does too. Told you the angle change would be barely noticable. - - - Updated - - - I still want my above idea to happen, with the two cockpits, but this would be one of the big differences between the two cockpits.
  11. Actually, I'm starting to flip sides. I can't see any good use with removing the cone. I guess what I would like is to make this new cockpit a normal cockpit, and have the old one as a separate cockpit, and make the old one a two-seater with a new IVA and working air intakes. I guess I don't care whether it has a nose or not.
  12. I see what you mean, but I just figured out that the ncs nosecone has a slightly rounder shape, so it might fit right after all. Also, it mostly looks bad due to a tiny size difference that I just noticed, so it should be a little smaller. In-game, the angle difference would barely be visible.
  13. The picture with the ncs cone doesn't look like it would in-game, though. To find out, we would need a screenshot of it in-game. Hmm... Avera9ejoe, are you up for this? - - - Updated - - - Uhhh... Well, this is embarrassing.
  14. You know they could easily remodel the nose a little so it matches, right? - - - Updated - - - Man, this is quickly turning into a heated debate. I should stay out of this, but I'm not seeing that happening. My lame excuse is that I'm already involved.
  15. No, not really. Here is the cockpit with the guidance nosecone. All they have to do is recolor it, really. See? The shading is off, and the white needs recoloring (which is not hard, even a texture noob like me can do that, no doubt porkjet can. He might have done it already anyway, to match the new mk1 parts), but that's about it. It looks fine to me. I'm pretty sure the regular cone is exactly in the same situation, since it's exactly the same but without the antennae and camera. - - - Updated - - - Wait. This isn't an "old rocket part", it was redone in 1.0! It should match fine with a recolor. In fact, it might not even need a recolor. It might just be the light. It's probably just brighter.
  16. You can use an NCS nose cone. It should fit, hopefully. the guidance thing would fit, too. And for the mk3, the standard old flat one fits pretty well, except its blue. The incorrect scaling on the example pictures was also bugging me, since it made it look ugly and I knew it wasn't right. So I found out what it should really look like. It should look like this: I like it, actually. It looks pretty good to me this way. It's up to avera9ejoe to give you the other views, though, because I am terrible at editing these things.
  17. I think that you could easily sidestep the backwards compatibility problems by just making this another cockpit. Have two cockpits. Keep the old fighter one that way. I like this idea, but I'm glad node sizes are off, because it looks quite ugly like that.
  18. I'm excited about 1.1 too. Now, where's the hypetrain thread? Just because its after 1.0 doesn't mean it's not worthy of hype, does it?
  19. Uhhh... But before it gets locked, check out simple rockets. It's a 2d mobile version of ksp basically. It's as close as you're gonna get.
  20. Nothing. I don't expect there to be a kerbal space program 2.0. I expect there to be a kerbal space program 1.10. KSP is not made for sequels. Anyway, I expect multiplayer, stable x64, clouds, GP2 & 3 with their moons, and (maybe) Ven's stock revamp to be stock. And perhaps 1.875m parts.
  21. But unity 5 improves performance, making room for this. In fact, these shaders are actually very low memory, from what I understand. And besides, don't we have graphics settings? It could be optional that way. - - - Updated - - - And also the wheel physics and a UI overhaul is already confirmed, so shaders or no shaders, there's still more to look forward to than just multithreading.
