9/10 Fellow comic writer with excellent feedback helping everyone out and generally making a great deal of entertaining pages of comics and having witty discussions in the comic threads!

Not even close! TUBM watched BTTF (any of the three) before 2015.

totm june 2018 Work-in-Progress [WIP] Design Thread

Space Shuttle is doing a bit better, made it to space, still needs RCS support, and can't roll program well, and can't make orbit. Might add SAS to the Shuttle. -
How Close are YOU to Your Next Reputation Rank?
SaturnianBlue replied to michaelsteele3's topic in Kerbal Network
191 Rep to the next level in the Light Green, needless to say, I have a long way to go. -
Today... Well, it snowed a little bit, I went to a lecture thingie about dark matter (For all ages, thank goodness, or I would have had trouble understanding.) Town had a College Football (The American kind) thing going on, but I don't really pay much to that. Afternoon was spent trying a few minutes on the darned space shuttle of mine, and decided to move to developing The Asteroid Sentinels, which has very sadly fallen in my priority recently, and I always wish to have better Production Times, as each comic issue has 2 hours or so spent on it, and if I had more time, I would actually let 5 hours pads before finishing up. I don't technically own my Laptop, so I spent the past hour browsing around killing time. Stay safe man! I really haven't been in any tropical cyclone, and sadly haven't been to the tropics, notably. My place got a Freeze Warning issued, which is rather varying from your predicament

6000 views! Thank you! I decided to do the whole press conference thing because I decided actually showing it "live" was boring, having done it countless times. Of course, this was also my first use of Kerbal Animation Suite. The big four of the astronauts are in, I figured that since IRL ARM would be docked with an Orion capsule, I decided to implement them. Astronauts on missions also provide better development instead of kerbals disconnected from the ship, and I've noticed this has worked well and is used on most graphic novels, which reminds me: I technically have the record for the longest time without a crewed mission in a graphic novel in IRL time, and maybe KSP time? Also in the thought process: Doomsday comet plot for series 6-7.

A Thread for Writers to talk about Writing
SaturnianBlue replied to Mister Dilsby's topic in KSP Fan Works
Kuzzter or anyone, do you have any suggestions or ways to help The Asteroid Sentinels get back up on it's feet? I've been struggling for a bit to post anything there after all. -
Help with Space Shuttles
SaturnianBlue replied to SaturnianBlue's topic in KSP1 Gameplay Questions and Tutorials
It's mostly a concern of weight, persay if the weight if thuds will be more than skippers in proportion to nozzle size and thrust. It's pitching down relative to ground, I fly my shuttle upside down like IRL. I'll try thrust limiters though. edit: yep, thuds weight a lot more for same thrust... Low ISP was another concern too. I have tried to fiddle with fuel amounts in the editor, at 1/3 SRB fuel where I believe it happens most likely, but still suffers rather badly. -
Help with Space Shuttles

Not really with specific engines, but I wildly change throttles in flight. It pitches before separation, at about 6Km, and while it can eventually pull out at 14Km, by that time it has fallen to only 20 degrees, which is usually not a good launch trajectory in my experience. -

The Space Shuttle is still suffering from the same problems,I add a pair of vernoers to the SRBS, but it's still not working well. -
THE single most aggravating thing in KSP for me is...
SaturnianBlue replied to wossname's topic in KSP1 Discussion
Yep, load times, game start times are still bad in 1.0, and none of our highest detail crafts can fly without being a slideshow... (Voyager craft flew at 10% real time). Not to mention the fact that OSX 64 bit isn't planned... -
Help with Space Shuttles
SaturnianBlue replied to SaturnianBlue's topic in KSP1 Gameplay Questions and Tutorials
By taking a look and trying to do some bits of the suggestions, it's more stable, but simply not enough. While it makes no attempt to violently pitch at 7 Km, it still pitches down, though it does manage to survive for plenty time. Not enough stability for orbit. -
Help with Space Shuttles
SaturnianBlue replied to SaturnianBlue's topic in KSP1 Gameplay Questions and Tutorials
I have a fuel line going to the cockpit. I have a LFO tank with the main fuel ( 14K liquid fuel) at the CoM. I'm not sure it's flowing in a straight line though. -

A few more tweaks, still mostly the same even with the ACoM at almost 0. -

I took a look at the ACoM, and the craft was mildly stable, but the problem still happens at 6Km. -

I've managed to get it to more like 500 for either one of them, at the cost of the other being more like 3000. Edit: Ohhhh! So there is a ACoM! I'll try and work on that. -
Hello! I haven't been around here for a while since I spend most of my time in the Spacecraft Exchange, but I need help for my Space Shuttle, which I'm using for my recreation of the Galileo and Ulysses spacecraft. I've almost managed to get the Center Of Mass and the DCoM matched, but about 1 minute in the flight, it starts to fight SAS control. I don't want to place a bunch of SAS really. Solutions tried - -Use IR to angle engines (Didn't work, Engines pushed into hinge when thrusting). -Change where the fuel is to try and make it so the CoM does not slip. -Counterweights (Fairly ineffective for such a heavy craft) -Stronger engines to try and improve gimbal. -Slight angle of wings. -Countless adjustments in Engine tripod angling. Notes- Mods used include procedural parts, tweak scale, KJR, IR in cargo bays. I still want to keep the craft fairly realistic in apperance and performance, because i'm using it for a recreation of the Galileo mission.

totm june 2018 Work-in-Progress [WIP] Design Thread
SaturnianBlue replied to GusTurbo's topic in KSP1 The Spacecraft Exchange
I'm not using TAC fuel balancer, mainly because I don't want to add another required mod since I plan to release it, and I do have fuel lines running to the shuttle. -

I've made the wings bigger on my space shuttle, and it the COM and DCOM is almost at the same place now, but still it pitches towards the orbiter around 6Km up. -
[11/26/15 Update] Say Hello to the Light-Green Group!
SaturnianBlue replied to Endersmens's topic in Kerbal Network
Wow! I'm in the Light Green now! Only 6 months since I joined, and 5 since I really started to do things on the forum! OP, if you need a few things to be pointed toward, check out The Asteroid Sentinels,(The 2nd graphic novel ever on the forums), and some of my crafts, especially Voyager, my greatest claim! -
10/10 awesome ship builder, user I sent to the light green and I'm about to get there too As well as being good friends!
