Detailed Doctor Who TARDIS
SaturnianBlue replied to SaturnianBlue's topic in KSP1 The Spacecraft Exchange
Not really, in stock it's pretty weak if you slam it at 30m/s, but it is pretty strong because of its structural panels construction. In KJR in pretty much can take a beating at 70m/s, and will stay mostly intact expect for the top. I do suppose with unbreakable joints, and no crash damage, it virtually will! -

Project Galileo is coming along alright I suppose. I've completed the spacecraft bus, the HGA, and finishing up the propulsion module. Any thoughts? -
In general number of features and function, I'd say the TARDIS. Anywhere in the universe to go, a gigantic amount of rooms to have stuff in... Etc. Perhaps an extra 5 time lords so the Tardis doesn't crash every time it moves. Newer models of Tardis are probably more reliable though! if we say movies however, the Heart of gold would be pretty and handy to have, and the Delorean really has the built by a madman with spare parts sort of look to it as well, and really is great!

Here's my IUS, for my Galileo/Ulysses project. Now to actually build Galileo itself, then the Boosters/External tanks. Stage 2 Stage ½ together -

It's been a while, but are there any more ways to improvise on the series? -

No no, I mean like forum user Inigma's space shuttle. -

Here's me trying to test my modded space shuttle that will fly my Galileo/Ulysses replicas to Jool on Columbia's SCA, turns out my shuttle is a bit too long compared to Inigma's so it has... Unfourtunate results. -
Most of my builds do ok without KJR, though my Voyager replica is not one of those. For me, the immediate problems with struts is less about part count and more about weight, as many of my probes weighed only perhaps a ton, and every time I added a strut, I was adding around 5% to my structure, which is a problem when your craft is 150 small bits and bobs.

I could, but I would have to do multiple flags, and You can only pick 1 flag at a time, and No tweakscale support, but I could try and do the "Pull to Open" sign. -

A shame I don't have BBC America -
This is my Tardis, built because I was partially bored and I didn't want to start on my Galileo Replica, which would take huge chucks of time. This Tardis is 215 parts and weighs 4734 kilograms. It has 4 rocket engines and 1 jet engines. This Tardis is based off the 2005 and 2010 Tardis. Don't physics warp unless you are ok with the top lights shearing off. The TARDIS is one of the most iconic spaceships ever to reach the TV screens. Introduced in 1963, it is disguised as a 1929 Mackenzie-Trench Police Box permanently after it's "Chameleon Circuit" broke down. It has traveled across both ends of Time And Space. Action Groups: 1 to toggle top lights. MODS: Tweakscale, and Kerbpaint DOWNLOAD

Thanks for the tip! I'll leave the top light alone, but the rest I've tweaked way down! -

TARDIS build nears completion! I'd say 95% done. Mashup of 2005/2011 Tardis. -

Feedback on the latest one? I mean, since my asteroid was 200tons or so, and I was still a few weeks from intercept, I didn't have much trouble pushing, but Mortimer does pose a threat... Himself. -

The TARDIS : Tweakscale and KerbPaint! I wanted to do a bit of something before moving to the Galileo Mission to Jupiter, and Series 9 starts n a couple days so... It's still WIP, Still missing much detail on top, but the shape is mostly done, it's based off the 2005 Tardis, I think.
