What I really was trying to say is cool profile picture.

Thank you.  Its my first gif :)

I've started work on a new tech tree using that editor. Soooo much easier.  Let me give you the premise:

Each node, instead of being technology per se, is a new class of rocket.  So for instance the start node (0) is sounding rockets, node 1 is Explorer I, node 2 is Sputnik, node 3 is Mercury-Redstone, etc...  In order to reach Saturn V you need Saturn I and so on.

Here is the kicker! I am banishing all the stock parts except things like fuel lines and struts etc...

I am starting with FASA, then plan on doing all of Raidernick's historical rockets and moving on from there.  Also going to try to work with the "Historical Missions" mod also.

I will probably not add any more part packs to ETT for a while.  Just do maintenance and work on overhauling the flight side.

  2. Ok, thanks for thr reply. I can probably make a craft showing it.
  3. I made my 15t lifter, upper stage has only 1 ignition, and has six H1 Saturn I engines since I was too lazy to change them . It uses KW Rocketry for the H1s and RLA Stockalike for the SRBs, though. I can make the 1-5 ton lifters since I will need those in my main RO save, so I'll upload them also. Craft file is on KerbalX: http://kerbalx.com/legoclone09/15-ton-lifter EDIT: I got the 1 ton one up as well, it has a test satellite onboard as well. Works good as a communication network relay for LEO or MEO, maybe we can deploy about ten of them in orbit to have coverage? Here is the 1T one: http://kerbalx.com/legoclone09/1T-LEO-lifter
  4. I'm home now, so time to make lifters. I'll probably use some Merlin 1D Vacuums for the upper stage, or some RL-10A 3-3As. Or whatever the best one is, maybe the Methalox (Methane/Lqd. Oxygen) one. Also please use kW/h for here since 1 EC is 1 kW/h and 1 EC/s is 1000 kW.
  5. I remember 0.21, I joined on June 13, 2013 which was just before 0.20, all I did was cluster Jumbo 64s and Mainsails, never geting anywhere. I liked the explosions. I started playing seriously in 2014 when I got into orbit for the first time, forgot the game, found it again in November and played alot since 2014 November.
  6. You might want to move to a kerolox or UDMH upper stage, maybe the Proton upper stage engines? Six of those should do the job.
  7. I'd love this, I've heard it suggested many times, but I think most would likemit as an option.
  8. Ok, thanks for the response. I was just wondering if it would work, you are a great dev.
  9. @Overengineer1 Did you see my post about the RO support? I think it should detect if RO is installed (ModuleManager?), and if it is installed, find the most efficient launch using full throttle or available throttle, use RCS after stage sep for ullage (check if the fuel is very stable?) and then try to use as little ignitions to circularize. It might have inclination relative to the ecliptic, even though that would be ~23.5*, it would show a Moon launch trajectory as 5.2* instead of 28.7*
  10. 10/10 Seen you in the Science Labs a bit.
  11. So my headphones will become the center of the universe? Weird.
  12. Ok, I was also thinking maybe a background image for each job? Like a rocket with a wrench on it for LV Engineer or a microphone, like this, for the PAO, if it is easy to do.
  13. Yes, the Earth curves away, here is a gif that shows it. The a is gravity and the v is the velocity. Gravity pulls the satellite down but the forward motion causes it to miss the Earth.
  14. Ok, I might try out resizing it. I resized my current profile picture to 16x16 and it still resembled a cat somehow.
  15. Ah ok, I was just wondering about it. But the MCT will be made with the awesome 10 meter core, right? I'd hate to see the Raptors go to waste. Only if they can't open doors
  16. I think TestFlight is good but all engines need to be supported, otherwise it isn't as fun. Also @adsii1970 maybe you can change the generic rocket to a Soyuz (lifter not payload), that would look awesome. Just personal preference. Also @Mad Rocket Scientist maybe a pressure-fed or hypergolic upper stage engine(s), those work since whenin orbit the TWR isn't as important. Also adding some SRBs to the first stage adds some more payload capacity.
  17. Welcome! If you ever need help put up a thread, my first one got a lot of posts with really helpful tips, which really helped. Also the wonderful Navball Docking Port Alignment Indicator is a less intrusive version of D.P.A.I. with only a red prograde/retrograde indicator to show where the other port is. That's just my personal preference, all the other mods I love and use all the time. Unless I forget to install them.
  18. I was looking at youtube comments on a video (forget what though), and this person was talking about a Falcon XX with 400 tons to LEO and a Ultra Heavy with 1600 supposedly. I think he might have been exaggerating, but I found a source with designs for them. On the article it says that the Falcon X would have 125 tons to orbit and a Falcon XX with 140 tons to orbit. Discuss below, is this BS, exaggerated, or fact? I'd say exaggerated, 1600 tons to orbit is too much to be believable. 19. Yeah, I got it a long time ago (2011!) and I started losing interest after 1.4 post release.
  20. Try using RL-10s or RL-60s, the RL-10 has 10 ignitions I think, and the RL-60 has a lot more ignitions.
