Chinese Space Program (CNSA) & Ch. commercial launch and discussion
XB-70A replied to tater's topic in Science & Spaceflight
My reaction while waking up this morning and reading CZ-5B finally launched. Beautiful sight of the lift-off and ascent: -
It is fast, but those models are cheap (about 40.00 USD). That’s the reason why they come with a net rather than a solid synthetic cover. I already dismantled one to put a new net, and will give it a try. To put Duc tape on it wouldn’t work, as the pad’s microphone is right under the net. However, I’ll be interested to give it a try with the second pad... just for the experiment. Maybe the sound will even be better

Well, double post, but today I broke my snare pad for the second time in 10 months... Average lifespan of five months only. This without counting I'm playing only once a week, and without going fully Ian Paice. I wish I could switch to solid 12" snare and tom pads instead of those awful ones with fibers, but I cannot afford those right now.

Why Do Americans Love Country And Rap But Hate Classical Music?
XB-70A replied to Spacescifi's topic in The Lounge
I thought it wasn't possible to be more unintelligible than Country singers from Arkansas. Bad joke apart, even if I stay with prog' and neo-prog', there are some Country artists I can tolerate (such as Jeffrey Steele). Now, the most common dilemma for prog' fans: -
Beautiful. (Now I just wish they would have played something else than the Blue Danube. It's just a cliche today.)
