  2. May I ask why? I'm not going to convince you otherwise, but I'm wondering if there's something I should know about CKAN that I currently unaware of. I'm also with the War Thunder crowd, by the way. I will get this mod whether or not it's on CKAN, it's just too vital.

  4. I do not mean to sound ungrateful, but how can I remove the "Plume configured by RealPlume." line at the end of every engine description? I know the plumes are configured by realplume: I'm the one who installed it.

  6. Ha it was the 32 bit version. Very odd. I don't get why that is still even an option. I'll check my routines a bit more closely when launching KSP. Okay, CKan is launching the wrong version. How do I get it to launch the 64 bit? The regular shortcut on my desktop also seems to launch the 32 bit version for some reason. Annyoing.
  7. I'm trying to do something about my frequent crashing in 1.1. Can't play for more than a couple of minutes without experiencing some kind of weird crash. (Yes, I tried forcing it in OpenGL - just gave me different crash messages instead). So I just want to ask the experienced mod community: which of these mods might be the most likely to cause crashes? My PC has 16 GB of RAM, 4 GB of VRAM and a Geforce 780. I can deck out a game like Skyrim with 6 gigabytes worth of graphical mods, so technically speaking it should be able to handle a lot of extra fluff. Here are the few mods I use in KSP:

  9. Which cloud mod works best with Scatterer? I tried Eve, but I noticed an increase in crashes with that. Something else might work better visually?
  10. Minor detail. Wether you're in a plane or chasing it, you don't actually hear the sonic boom due to your relative speed. I remember this from an interview with Andy Green, who first broke the sound barrier in a land vehicle back in '97 or so. His entire crew heard the sonic boom when he broke the record, but he didn't.

  12. So how long does it usually take for this mod to update after a major KSP update? Weeks? Months? I had it bookmarked for quite a while, was itching to try it out in 1.1. Edit: Oh, asking how long it usually takes isn't an enquiry for an update, is it? I didn't mean to break the forum rules. Anyone who has been following the mod longer than I have should have some idea of how much time goes by.
  13. Can anyone give me some more specific advice on what to do with anisotropic filtering? Things usually break when I start to alter drivers, so I wouldn't mind some help. Running KSP on an NVidia 780 I can confirm that one also.
  14. I don't see this on CKAN anymore. Did something happen to it or was it replaced by something else?
  15. I'm looking for an uncontrolled hinge with a limitation of 180 degrees. Would there be a chance to obtain that here?
  16. I'm new to IR. Where do I find the rover wheels used in the demo video? I can't seem to spot them.
  17. It's just another hour or so on time dialation. If I'm lucky the game won't crash at all now that I switch back to the menu. I'll bite through it. ;)
  18. It's still happening every 20 minutes or so in spite of employing that trick, but the end is in sight and I can probably manage now that I know what to do. Will start a new game after. Thanks again.
