thnx mate 4 watching !

hi all, so just imported the components on Unity 5 - the first preview is simply fantastic ! the elaborated scale details have paid off. i am using KSP specular shaders (without bumpmapping). Hope it looks so good during the gameplay...

I don't check this thread for a few days and loads of developments! Rocket parts are looking great! Will the parts of the tanks that go in (non form factor) create fairings when the nodes are attached!
Hello kertech, thanks a lot! I'm glad you like it. Yes have made a lot as much as possible before the summer comes .. afterwards I will not possibly have so much time. - Yesterday I got more details on the models .. later follow later still pictures.
cheers
-
just make some Design improvement on ATS parts , now these are simpler, and the models rounder.

Hello together, now today I have finished the Advanced rocker booster ARB-ST29 for the Avalon Transfer Stage (ATS).
Hope it pleases - cheers & thnx 4 watching

Today was an intensive work day. Here the last one: "Avalon Transfer Stage Core Fueltank: CFT-FE465" - now with textures. Semiscale-look. - Hope it pleases

for comparison, the mk1-2 pod ...

hi all, on user request I have made still another graphic version of the ASA-1150.
- I find the best with orange stripes.
-
dear all, am right in the 'shot'. - still have finished texturing the stage adapter. Name is ASA-1150 - stands for "Advanced.Stage.Adapter-1150" number stands as always for diameter. In this case 11.5m adapter.
http://imgur.com/gallery/DmfEF
To save memory, I use the same textur map for the ASA-1150, ARB-LK35 and ASFT-8500 parts (2024x2024) - So I have the compromise high texture resolution good quality, and only 1 texture image for 3 objects to load.
about the "warning stripes" - Maybe it looks good in the overall picture - must look maybe I'll take it away again.
-
hi all, so i just elaborated new scale details on Stage 1 and finished the other Docking port - here some preview pictures.
additional i am created a simple graphical 'mission' patch for the AVALON STS , i hope you like it :
at left -> the Advanced Rocket Booster : ARB-LK35
at right -> the Advanced Stage Fuel Tank : ASFT-8500
just finish the other docking port ADP-220 - the big port was named with ADP-500 (the number indicated the diameter)

hi all,
hope the new Stage 1 Fuel Tank 'ASFT-8500' looks interesting.
i am used colors of Russian Soyuz heavy lifters like this :

i have put some scale details on the new S1 Fuel Tank. (ASFT-8500)
here for comparison
-
hi all, so here i am present the Stage 1 overhaul. before it was relative simple. - now i redesign the structure with new details.
hope it are now more realistic and scale like this one
- I have to forward that the design of fuel tanks is not particularly. Also with the color aspect I am difficult .. I will do my best.
maybe i will me orient for S1 coloration to sovjet heavy lifters, like this few pictures :
http://imgur.com/gallery/Fffgx
To comparison - see down the squad "mk1-2" pod - .. yes ! this stage is very huge
-
hi all, Just finished with the 5m part. - here a first 'blender' preview, cheers

Would say so too...
thnx mate !

So here other concept views .. http://imgur.com/gallery/dtrSv
part above diameter: ca. 2.2m [compatible with ksp ports size 1]
big docking part below diameter: ca. 5.0 m [compatible with ksp ports size 2]
i think it looks very fine
-
I have lost too much time with these details. Unfortunately, the "node" implemation if it does not work satisfactorily because certain assignments do not work. - eg. 'Control from this port' - so I decide for a general overhaul of the docking ports. I am created similar ports for the ATS like 'APAS'
This solution works without problems, only disadvantage: not forgotten attach to the parts before departure ... but we have now a realistic 'scale look'.

Really a nice and enriching idea. great mod !

But animating each individual panel and using a parent-child relation is totally fine
many thanks for the answer !
Problem is that I no longer know exactly how to get to the animation. Unfortunately I forgot to document cleanly*. I only know that the panels are connected logically with "child-of" (constraint).
- the results are as follows:(Picture above I have still found, but the blender model no longer understand the solution - *unfortunately, this can happen in a hw. Damage the external hard drive where the project files were on it.)
QUESTION: what have I forgotten, what is still missing?http://imgur.com/gallery/hmSFZ

This could help me :
MODULE { name = ModuleDockingNode nodeType = size0 nodeTransformName = dockingNode controlTransformName = controlNode }
"The nodeTransformName property tells the game what empty game object represents the actual docking mechanism... the controlTransformName sets the 'control from here' position and direction reference."
So I will continue to test..
-
like that, is very Interesting,
but how can you implement it into the gameplay? Have you already thought about it, you write a plugin to it or does it need an already existing plugin?
Some time ago there was an astro-telescope-mod* (plugin) with which one could shoot photos of galaxies. (Science career)
[* sorry does not know the name since I no longer use it ]
cheers !

( as usual docking nodes).
yes, with the multiple docking ports is so a thing- my experience is sometimes it seems to work, and then it does not go again ..
The solution according to this thread does not seem to work. .. (echt mühsam diese scheisse mit multi-dockingports..)
only one left to me ..

Dear all,
i am proud to present the (pre) finished ATS Habitat configuration. some little things are to fix ( as usual docking nodes). But I think it is quite well done. and yes it is really huge ..
http://imgur.com/gallery/Ch4Vn
-> the follow HD Clip will present a Full Transferstage Habitat Configuration with additional Fuel Setup.
Obviously thought of as a refueling unit. - infact is a huge interstop space-station..
have fun !
-
like your movie : "In the Shadow of the Mun: A KSP Movie" - its beautiful !!!
Complimented to the director, music cut and script.
I think you could also nominated for an oscar ..
by the way, your 'mod' is epic
cheers

Hello together, have just finished the cluster tank for the ATS.
(CLS-FT365 = Avalon TransferStage Cluster FuelTank )
This part is intended for a space station which is also intended to serve as fueling unit.
This part is for a space station which serves as fueling unit. Of course it can also be used differently. - thnx 4 watching
