I'm alive and clicking Dont know how many posts I lost, only looks like 30 - 40. -
It happens to lots of people, but your probe may be on an escape trajectory out of the sun . If you restart the game it should be fixed. But before you do, have a walk around on kerbin and try to figure out what's missing...

Hello This Post is thread sorta belongs in the challenge section, but I put it here because Its almost impossible to score this challenge and its based mainly around a craft. But anyway, while trying to think up interesting new ways to play KSP, I thought perhaps I could make some kind of assault/parkour course for kerbals to navigate. It was suprisingly easy to come up with some tricky but possible obstacles for kerbals to climb over, and although this course does have some design flaws, it is actually quite a fun little minigame. Here are a few screenshots of the course: [spoiler= I wish spoilers still worked ] "The Girder Tree"The goal is to use the capsule at the top to escape KSP equivalent of the Total Wipeout Red Balls Tomfred on the hurdles! Important stuff Before Downloading: -You Must Press 1 before trying to EVA a Kerbal. This will extend all ladders and allow your kerbals to get out. -Quicksave as much as possible, This is because kerbals can go into a t-pose and fall over, not allowing you to get back up (This can happen a lot). If this happens, try using your RCS pack. Otherwise reload with F9 Quicksave, because when this happens, you may need to reload -The course runs fine on my PC, I have No Idea whether it will on anybody else's. Sorry if it runs slow. If it does, try removing the red launch clamps -When you reach the capsule at the top, you need to create a new stage and put the 2 radial engines into it in order to start them! -If you get stuck at a jumpy bit, try using your EVA pack to get some extra height by thrusting upwards whilst jumping -This was a bit of an experiment. There may be many problems. It may also turn out to be a total disaster. If so, I apologize for polluting the forum So, download and have fun. Think you got a good time? Post it below (although there will be no judging due to lack of evidence). How about trying to make your own kerbal course for other players to try? Why not post it below? Thanks, Zpox357 + If there is a problem, I may not be able to respond immediately. I hope I can deal with anything ASAP Link: http://www./?ygdcrurrq4st5pz Needs to go in SPH, not VAB P.S: Video of course:

I think it was sips who did an episode on it about a year ago in 0.13.1, Im not a big fan of the Yogscast, but I am so glad that I watched them that time.

Guys, dont get your hopes up. The world ends in 2 months

A lot of people use it due to a glitch where you can't place parts on radial decoplers, but for general design, as far as I can tell, most find it acceptable. It adds a bit more flexibility to the editors without making the game any easier. However, if you decouple two parts that were merged together, all hell can break loose. Thats all I know.

Those are some nice stations, but have you tried designing modules with interiors? The large rectangular wings and metal panels are perfect, with symetry mode, for creating hollow structures:

Cue the ride of the valkyries... As you can see, Tomfred Kerman is having a blast! (or he is about to )

Well there is this thingy-ma-bob. Dont get exited, I for one am highly skeptical, but you never know http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/49064028/ns/technology_and_science-space/t/scientists-say-warp-drive-may-be-more-feasible-thought/ -
...once upon a sub-orbital trajectory

Amazing work! when this game is made to look epic, It looks REALLY epic + looking foward to part 2

(Ok, ok! 10 characters...)

I have been playing around with things on KSP that are not rockets or space planes and Its amazing how much you can create with the simple VAB. For this challenge, You are given a tall platform on top of which is a 3 kerbal pod. There is a simple detachable craft made from 1 ladder, a radial decoupler, a parachute and a hardpoint. You must EVA a kerbal down Via the ladder and make him grab the smaller ladder on the decoupler. Then switch using the [ or ] keys to the pod and... eject him into oblivion! The craft will smash into the ground killing its passanger. The Challenge: Take the Craft file below and create a small craft capable of getting the kerbal and the radial decoupler down to the surface safely. Rules -No mods, (especialy MechJeb as the craft must be separate) -Yes, kerbals dont die when they drop on their own, but you must also get the decoupler down to -a maximum of 4 chutes -The kerbal must remain on the ladder untill he hits the ground -You are not allowed to take away or move the original parts of the craft apart from the chute -You must have evidence of your victory via images or video + please post the number of parts used Images of challange Leaderboard (In order of part count) 1.----- 2.----- 3.----- Also, This craft does not lag on my computer, but I am not sure if It will lag on other's machines.

Bob went for an EVA whilst in a sub-orbital trajectory around duna, but after forgetting to pause the game when I went to make some tea. I came back and he had drifted Kilometers away and was bound for the surface. I could not find my craft in time to save him.

Good God! It felt as if I was being brain washed! ...M...Mu...Must...Must play more...KSP! Is this what a kerbal sees flash past their eyes when they die?

I think of ...powerful wind

However that was in 0.16, if they have changed minmus then I am not so sure now.

[UNOFFICIAL/FANMADE] 0.18 Discussion thread
zpox357 replied to kacperrutka26's topic in KSP1 Discussion
Now that is an amazing Idea, I would love to see this impemented at some point. There is not much I really am asking for from 0.18, but possibly a big sound update, as the game feels too silent at the moment (I know it is silent in space, I mean elsewhere!) introducing audio for simple actions like the sound of dust being blown up by the engine, footsteps from walking kerbals, parts clinking/thuding when they fall off and hit the ground, an electronic hum inside the cockpits. You would not be able to hear these outside the craft in space but in cockpit view you would be able to hear them. Also the camera in the cockpit view moving acording to stress/G-levels. -
Inspired by the Images above me... I tried.

Ooohh! now thats an idea I like the sound of. With eva's and Iva's now in place, inflatable habitation modules could add a very interesting touch to the game like... That mod "whos name I cant recall" in orbiter. These bases may require other things to be implemented first such as docking or full ship iva's. Maybe it could be part of a space station update? Its a nice idea anyway and I dont mind at all what is implemented in 0.18

Guess what... More Duna Rover pictures! (Because there isn't thousands on this thread already) Ahh well, I was proud of this one. Im looking for easter eggs manualy but the best I found so far was a small deformed pebble. http://imgur.com/a/6s2bU

Just a small suggestion, may even be planned but, IVA mode is amazing as it is however there is no real "force feeback" when you are landing/burning/crashing. If there were small vibrations and a subtle rattling sound in the cockpit view when you fire the engines, a lurching effect when you land or crash and a "sinking into your seat" effect for high G's, it would make IVA's very immersive.
