Currently hosting a 4 plane mini tournament. Rules: -No mods. (Except for BDarmory) -Fights are 1v1 -Fights are best of 3 -The last flying aircraft wins. If both are destroyed in the sky, the round is considered a draw. If one runs out of fuel it is a loss. -Part Count Cap of 125(Don't push this!) -ALL DESIGNS MUST HAVE A COCKPIT, PROBES ARE NOT ALLOWED. -REACTION WHEELS ARE ALSO NOT ALLOWED(except for the cockpit reaction wheels). They are stupidly OP. -All designs must be within the point limit, which is stated below. -All turrets MUST be fixed forward -One entry per tournament, unless stated otherwise. -No clipping fuel tanks or engines. They can be slightly clipped for looks, but not completely inside each other. Structural parts and ammo, guns, gear, etc. Is ok. No wing clipping. -All planes can and will be inspected without warning for rule compliance. ALL PLANES ARE REQUIRED TO HAVE RADOMES! So, what OSes are you fine with? OS X and windows will work about as well for this. Also, what featureset do you want? If it runs linux, it won't play much better anymore. So far, not enough info.

The replica would need 34 kN for 7.5 minutes at 8.6 tons, or the same twr. My pattern has been doubling thrust and weight on the planes, and tweaking for performance.

I'll try itmyself. I think that you would need a normal fuel tanks per engine, and a little bit more.

I need 8 for historical time, and a 37 m/s climb rate at 200 m/s. The heavier it gets, the more engines. The more engines, the more fuel used. The more fuel used, the more fuel needed. It's a loop.

The CPU change makes the whole machine 30$ cheaper, which accommodates the PSU and the case quite nicely, especially considering the good psu. Also, the RAM on that build is 2 sticks instead of one. That will make the whole machine a lot faster because 2 4 gb is better than 1 8 gb. Twice the speed. Also, the CPU is exactly 4.8% worse in benchmarks. And, with a simple overclock to 3.9 ghz it is just as fast as the 6350 for less. - - - Updated - - - And, the motherboard has 4 slots, for 4 8 gb items or 4 4 gb sticks if you want 32 or 16 respectively. It maxes at 32:)
