this didn't work, the game still hangs when loading Pathfinder/Parts/Science/Terrain/WBI_Terrain.

also experiencing the same issue where the game hangs forever at the terrain loading. tried to change a couple of names in the cfg files to see if it was just a pathing error or something but no luck, apparently the part just keeps calling something that isn't there

KSP Interstellar Extended Continued Development Thread
Chasewithlasers replied to FreeThinker's topic in KSP1 Mod Development
I've had an idea for a temporary fix for the ISRU refineries not having working uranium reprocessing options and I wanted to know if it could work. I mean, I assume they aren't working properly now since only the molten salt reactor uses and holds the UF4 needed for reprocessing and uranium nitride production, as far as I know, and I read that you can't just change the ISRU modules to use EnrichedUranium because that would make NearFuture integration all wonky. It also limits options of fueling spacecraft with molten salt reactors to sending another molten salt reactor after it, which isn't exactly the best plan in career mode As a temporary workaround to both of these, could I copy the models and cfg files of one of the radial tanks and edit it so it hold UF4 instead of EnrichedUranium (or make a Fuel Switch option so that the same tank hold... well, the same thing with different names, but it should do the trick), or would that probably break the cycle somewhere? And I suppose the DepletedFuels depicted in the ISRU flowchart in page 1 (which I assume is up to date) aren't the same resource as NearFuture's DepletedFuel, but I also see nothing that can hold DepletedFuels. If the uranium reprocessing option is being used, are DepletedFuels just ejected and deleted or are they kept somewhere? Also: What's up with Kerosene? I can see it's an option on both the thermal nozzles, but I see no fuel tanks that are able to hold it? Sorry for so many questions, and thanks for the incredible work with the mod -
kopernicus [1.6.0] Extrasolar v1.8.0 [12/21/18]

another user in technical support suggested moving the save file and that did the trick, apparently something corrupted the persistent and I don't suppose I can't really tell which mod did it unless I try to replicate it. thanks for the help tho, your mod is really awesome and I'll try to use it again maybe the next time I clean up my ksp folders. keep up the great work -
kopernicus [1.6.0] Extrasolar v1.8.0 [12/21/18]
Chasewithlasers replied to Andi K.'s topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
the problem isn't my performance, and besides I do use ATM (for some reason it didn't show up on the list). I just want to know why kopernicus and/or extrasolar completely destroyed my ability to load games even after being deleted. -
I'm having a problem that will force me to redownload EVERYTHING if not fixed. Please help. I downloaded Kopernicus yesterday to test if I could have one of those fancy extra star systems; and I also got the Extrasolar: Planets beyond Kerbal pack. Installed it following instructions clearly, loaded a previous save, took 50 million years to load everything but I managed to get into the game. Checked the star system in the tracking station, then tried to switch to one of my ships in munar orbit and the game crashed without even a crash report. I then deleted Kopernicus and Extrasolar, but when I got back to the game, all my saves had been nuked, and clicking the Resume Saved button gave me nothing. Didn't bother too much that I lost the old save, but then I played a bit on a new game, exited, went to sleep, loaded the game today and clicking the Resume Saved button STILL gives me nothing despite a new game. I don't know if this is a Kopernicus or Extrasolar (posted in both threads and here) issue, but it's all I could think of given the timing. Here are all the other mods I still have:

EDIT: apparently my persistent shorted out with said crash and that was stopping KSP from reading any other saves, a fellow in technical support suggested moving the broken save folder and that did the trick. I suppose I can't really know if this was a kopernicus/extrasolar thing or any other mod's fault without replicating it so just ignore this post

many parts in many mods have this tendency to explode when dropped on the ground, no matter how gently. better to just attach them instantly to wherever you want to put them or shove it in an inventory however, it DOES seem that pathfinder/buffalo MSEV is having particular issues - I've had a couple of both Saddle muncrete bases AND wheel jacks explode on me during timewarp. managed to drop them on the ground and then attach them just fine, but the very moment I entered timewarp they blew up.

Man I love this mod. I cant post it now (tomorrow possibly), but the small quark engines are really fun to play with, and I'm currently trying to perfect personal/small cargo transports (so far I have a mun/minmus heavy hovership). This is easily one of my favorite mods, keep up the good work. But there's something I'm concerned about: isnt it a little OP for the virtual particle-only engines to have the same ISP/thrust in atmospheres? Along with a ....load of fixed solar panels (and perhaps a Near Future Electrical capacitor.......), I'm almost completing a single-kerbal kannae transport vehicle (missile) that could easily get from KSP to orbit. Which is fun and all, but makes me wonder it it's balanced.
