  1. Maybe they will flip back horizontally and then do a braking burn immediately.
  2. Obviously, assembling a nuclear reactor is a super terrible idea. Definitely don't do it. Unless you like fun.
  3. Not enough space junk falling from the sky to hide a booster in it.
  4. This again? Didn't that recent Soyuz-Meteor launch teach them anything?
  5. BFR Earth to Earth: get anywhere on the planet in less than 25 minutes! *with possible delays of up to 3 weeks
  6. Speaking of Energia, is it truly dead, or there are some plans or propositions to make it fly again?
  7. SpaceX seeking up to $5 million more in spaceport funding from state. http://www.512tech.com/technology/spacex-seeking-million-more-spaceport-funding-from-state/MNN7phFcEsJnzzwy22IQ6N/
  8. I like it. Looks like it’s more aircraft-centered than KSP, with some degree of engine physics and sound simulation.
  9. Number of chromosomes that human cells have.
  10. Honestly, this bothers me much more than the actual anomaly/failure. Not just the media, but government agencies and the like.
  11. Everyone has their bad day, I guess. Even with very reliable rockets. Kinda explains why I don’t see passenger Earth to Earth BFRs happening.
  12. This is how I think it really went
  13. At 41:20 he says “and apparently we have a confirmation, first good news of the evening” Note to self: never trust apparent confirmations.
  14. Yea, but I’m pretty sure there was something along the lines of “and we have a confirmation of the satellite separation...” The stream is down, no way to rewatch and check, oh well.
  15. So, did they get a confirmation of the first sat separation or not? Because the host said they did.
  16. I think so. Why else would they fill an “all-electric” satellite with hypergolics?
  17. If you're a hulking tower of meat made mostly of muscle like T-Rex, you need a lot of energy just to keep your body functioning. Scavenging is hardly a reliable food source for such a creature. And it's not needed if you're an apex predator and can hunt pretty much every other animal of similar size and smaller and eat it fresh.
  18. Being a genetic scientist myself (not yet crazy though), I suggest a better experiment: lock a group of... *volunteers* in a cage with T-Rex along with some carrion meat. Then observe and log its food preference, repeat at least three times with different T-Rexes for statistics.
  19. One of the first BFRs can land near an exposed ice deposit and bring a rover with drills to harvest ice. The rover can have several tons of equipment, batteries, etc. Maybe a deployable solar array as well? It should harvest the ice, melt it, and then electrolyze the water, collecting both hydrogen and oxygen. Then drive back and refuel the ship somehow, repeat until done.
