  1. Woot! The band I'm in placed first in a marching band contest!
  2. Amatoxin. Its not as acutely toxic as some things listed here, but it is still pretty toxic. Pair that with its delayed effects that don't even start to appear for several hours and by the time they do, your DNA is already irreversibly damaged.
  3. Wait, that wasn't supposed to happen!
  4. 1. They completely ignore the fact that the shuttle is under continuous acceleration 2. That being said, how do they forget that free falling objects fall in a parabola?!! NOT A SEMI-CIRCLE!!
  5. Put enough energy into one place so that region collapses into a lower ground state. This would cause the region to nucleate and create a bubble with radically different physical constants that would expand at the spend of light. A vacuum metastability event. (This only works if the ground energy state of the universe isn't the lowest it can get) @Dudefinal. I just realized this is almost exactly what you said.
  6. "There has to be something solid up there at just above 100 km to absorb the infra-red rays of the Sun to cause such a drastic change of temperature from one side of that altitude to the other." Ouch... That logic actually hurts.
  7. I think it would look fine if they just made it white instead of dark gray.
  8. Landing on the moon in RSS/RO with a Saturn V. It's hard enough to do a transfer to something that's nowhere near your current inclination, but on top of that I had to worry about hydrogen boil off.
  9. As everyone else is saying, KSP's monopropellant is probably decays once it's run over a catalyst. The only alternative that I'm aware of is a compressed gas thruster and hose things have TERRIBLE specific impulse.
  10. I'm currently a sophomore in high school and planning on going to college. I'll probably major in chemistry and definitely major in a natural science.
  11. I caught on pretty quickly when I started playing. I'd say the game isn't too complicated for kids >12. (Although that was back in .19. Since then the parts list has nearly doubled.)
  12. Oh god, I just noticed the speed limit signed in the background! But anyway, I do love those ISS videos, they give an idea of what it's like up there.
  13. Hopefully they'll use the money to hire more devs. Seriously their team is getting worryingly small.
  14. Clickbait titles are the WORST! The thing I hate the most about them though, is that I always have deep down desire to click on them.
  15. These look great! I'll probably never use them (I'm kind of an idiot when it comes to planes) But I'm sure they will look lovely in the parts tab!
  16. NEVER go into the comments on a video explaining aspects of special relativity. They're full of people who fail to fully understand the concept, find what they percieve as a glaring problem in the theory, and then act smug that they're one of the few people who can see through "the dogmas of modern science".
  17. I didn't have enough tech nodes unlocked to make an elegant Duna mission. So my craft was essentially a transfer stage with all of my landers daisy-chained under it.
  18. I immediately closed the window as soon as I saw the title "refuting" evolution with the utmost confidence, right above a blatantly wrong picture about how evolution is supposed to work.
  19. Ablating blackbirds! That is probably the best thing I have ever read!
  20. I had actually just turned 13 a few months before I got into KSP (around version .19). So I know for a fact that someone that age can enjoy this game. As for my forum age ,I actually lurked here for 2 years before making an account.
  21. Actually the whole thing isn't supposed to be a legitimate theory. it was intended to to be one of those things that shows that the burden of proof lies not with the person refuting an unfalsafiable claim, but with the one who claims it to be true. just like the theory that asserts that there is a teapot in a solar orbit somewhere between the orbits of earth and Mars. Easy to claim, impossible to debunk.
