  1. @Thomas P. does this version also include @blackrack's amazing ring shader? Or will that be a Scatterer feature? Sorry, it just looks so amazing that I can't wait to play with it.
  2. On second thought, I'm going to wait for @Thomas P. to finish Kopernicus' 1.2.2-compatible version and check for any problems with Arkas. That also buys me some time to add ribbons for the moons, maybe even make some concept art for future modular moon additions.
  3. *Cough cough the update is likely coming today cough cough* Also, I made these fancy new signature ribbons if you'd like to show your support for this mod!
  4. Arkas has no active FF support in the current version, I'll look into it though. @eloquentJane I just downloaded FinalFrontier, I'll look at the codes tomorrow to see if I can add active functionality for Arkas. If so they'll most likely be released along with the moon science defs.
  5. The Final Frontier ribbons are not included in the download but will be hosted separately. It's an easy job of simply setting the transparency of the desired layers and exporting it as a PNG.
  6. Arkas 1.2.1 is uploading as I am writing this. Patch notes: Arkas DevEdition V4.0 { Temperature variations created by eccentricity Seasonal temperature variations Temperature changes based off latitude Temperature changes based off time of day Internal mod indexing (just compatibility stuff) 1.2 compatibility of course ;) Fixes for Kras and Vin Biomes for Kras and Vin (each of them having a biome named after who suggested the name for the moon) Scatterer support! EVE support! NEW 'Modular mod' system: add extra features using the Arkas/Expansions directory! Add moons if you want, and add clouds with three different resolutions! New original Arkas cloudmap in the style of SVE and AVP! Available in 2K, 4K or even 8K! Reworked normal map for Arkas, the planet never looked this good! Available in 2K for low-end computers, 4K for average systems and for complete powerhouses there is even an 8K resolution for the maximum quality possible! } If you'd reach the patch notes, you'll see why I'm calling this the 'Limitpusher' update, as this is pretty much the best quality provideable - Scatterer, 8K EVE and 8K normals for Arkas! Curious as to what this looks like? Blammo! The new update comes with a readme file, trust me, it is VERY important that you read it because the installation procedure has changed. Full science support for the moons will come in a future update. Have fun exploring, Kerbals!
  7. Alright, I think it's about time for screenshots! http://imgur.com/a/4T3WH Note: the shininess in scaledspace is normal map problem, will be solved with new normals, perhaps even 8K.
  8. Simple. 1. Enter your Steam library 2. Right-click KSP, select properties, and select 'browse through local content' or something like that, I don't remember the layout of the menu but I know it's there, I use it frequently. 3. Copy the contents of your KSP directory and paste them elsewhere. 4. Done, just run KSP_64.exe and it'll work like a charm. I always use this trick myself, I've got at least half a dozen copies of KSP for mod development purposes, it's been ages since the last time I've actually sat down and played the game properly now that I think of it...
  9. That's not possible AFAIK, which is why the first rule of modding is 'always back up your saves'.
  10. Nope. @Dooz place a percent in front of inclination, semiMajorAxis, eccentricity and description, like %inclination, %semiMajorAxis, %eccentricity and %description. I bet it'll work.
  11. I see. Hey, I'm setting up a spreadsheet for the science defenitions. You offered to write a few science defs a while ago, I could send you a link if you'd like.
  12. Alright, I need to ask all of you something. I'm wondering - would you people rather have the mod be updated sooner, and receive an update with custom science later, or would you all rather wait a little longer and play with custom science?
  13. Only one entry? I'm pretty certain I submitted my own entry as well, before the deadline too. Got a point there though, I didn't know there were almost no people interested in the contest anymore. How about this - anyone who is interested in the KCM, like this comment! Let's see how many people want the creativity marathon to live on!
  14. You may be very wrong on that... Oh, I didn't even know! Now that I do know, I'll write a Scatterer patch for the next update. Now that you're here, I might as well announce this: with @Galileo's kind permission, some cloud textures from SVE will be bundled with Cyran for the best graphics. @Galileo will receive proper credit of course: -The OP will include a credits part -The download itself includes a credits.txt file -The textures are stored in a folder called Galileo_Textures
  15. EVE support is inbound as well, as I'm getting the hang of those configs. @Waz made a new thread in rbray's absence with an updated EVE, and it has one sweet feature. I'll let you all find out in-game, but let's just say you won't be seeing any pixelated clouds anymore...
  16. @Phineas Freak I'm talking about a config specifically for custom planets, so I don't think there will be any duplicate configs lying around. I'll check the other configs though, see if using the in-game GUI messed up anything.
  17. Alright, thanks! I'm also wondering, if a cloud config won't work, is there a file I can check to see what exactly is causing the issue? Like the way Kopernicus has a .body file for every planet?
