  1. False. (Danny2462 is this) The user below me is non-British.
  2. True, I know not. The user below me watches Danny2462.
  3. "There's a mod for that" is not a valid reason as to why something should not be implemented in the stock game, though.
  4. I agree with the OP, having a satellite like MapSat that shows not only geographical studies, but also biomes, would be great. It'd be nice to have this generate science as it does so, it only makes sense in my opinion. Maybe a way to make them work when you're not actually flying the craft would be good, too. And somewhere in the R&D Lab where you can view these maps and biomes in conjunction with science gained from the biomes such as temperature displays and suchlike.
  5. Service missions would be great. For now, Space Stations are just refueling stations. There should be a huge contract for a space station, the first major contract, in which you have to send certain modules up and dock to a core that you send up first to the desired orbital height. You should then need to re-crew the station every now and then for a constant large source of income that you have to work for. But then, of course, there's the people who don't want this fuss. Which is where declining comes in. If you accept the station but don't accept a mission for crew transfer, it should be automatically done by the private company that owns the station and you get no money from that transfer.
  6. Oh... That's why I shouldn't skim-read things
  7. That isn't Bill, Bob, and Jeb... Are you sure this was version .13/14? They were the only 3 kerbals at this time.
  8. May I just remind those who are talking about missions involving military that anything military-based is not going to be implemented, as has already been stated by the devs.
  9. I think it'd be great if you had offers for things like space telescopes from private companies, as well as communications satellites for things such as TV companies and satellite navigation companies. Just more things to put in orbit around Kerbin, really. I'd love for their to be a focus on providing a service to Kerbalkind as well as pushing the envelope for exploration. As well as the big things for Kerbin orbit, I'd love it if you could be offered partnerships or contracts for things like Mars One. You know, someone approaches KSC with an idea to colonise Duna, put a space station around Laythe, etc. This also provides scope for the ability to have some parts provide you with payloads. For example, the space telescope missions could have pre-built or procedural telescopes that act as a single part, communications could be either make your own or have one provided, there could be private companies with rovers that they want you to send to the Mun. There's endless possibilities here, I really hope that SQUAD have some of these things in mind.
  10. With the upcoming addition of contracts to the game, I thought it'd be nice to see what everyone thinks of this feature. How do you think it'll be rewarded? How precise will the targets have to be? Will it be lenient? Frequent? Is there any chance of getting repeat requests? What's your general opinion on the idea? Lots of questions to ask, so let's get to it. How do you feel about the upcoming contracts and what do you hope for them to be like?
  11. While I know that multiplayer will be first, I've seen that as a little early. The game is still in an unstable state, a state of flux where huge things are being adding, fixed, changed, and removed constantly. Multiplayer will just mean more bug fixing than there needs to be. I'd prefer if they went for interstellar first.

  13. I believe that there may be somewhat of a mod manager in the next update. There's something to do with mods and the game launcher coming in the next updates. I think it's plausible, the mods are stored in separate folders from the stock game (in their own folder in the Gamedata folder), they could probably make it so that you can tell it to not load certain files from there. But I know not how to program, so I'm not sure if this is possible. I think this is what they do in games with such options though (such as Civilization V, Sins of a Solar Empire, etc.)

  15. Eeloo, to the best of my knowledge, does not currently have any ground scatter. While ground scatter is currently only aesthetic, I think it would be nice to have them on all the bodies that you can land on. As far as I know, Eeloo is the only one without any ground scatter. In this thread, I'd like to discuss the possibilities for Eeloo's ground scatter. My suggestion? I don't have a specific suggestion. I'd say, for now, to just use the generic rock and make it a light shade of blue (like this, maybe less saturated and a little... dirtied). This could maybe be a placeholder until the geysers are added or could be roughed up a little so they look like debris form the geysers. I'd like to hear what you guys think, so... What do the rest of the community think?

  17. 100% may be too high, I'd say maybe 75-85% is reasonable. Some data can be lost which leaves gaps in the results, but this should be dependent on distance and whether or not KSC is blocked by something at the time of transmission.
  18. 7.5/10 Until I've corrected my system for rating, I'm not listing reasons.
  19. I'd like to see this implemented into the stock game. It's fairly often that I see an animated part and think "will that fit?" and try to extend it but can't. It's not so much frustrating as it is a grind, but it'd be a nice little thing. I think this is being done anyway in 0.24, but don't quote me on that.
  20. I prefer them to take their own path but taking community suggestions into account, as they currently do. It seems to be an efficient system that massively involves the community as well as keeping the game headed in the right direction.
  21. Pretty much all of the graphical settings in the game can be changed. I assume you're referring to changing them in-flight though, yes? If so, I kind of agree, though I wouldn't like to see development time being spent on this. It's time out of development being spent on something that's pretty minor in terms of gameplay. I'm not even sure if it's possible, but then again I know nothing about programming.
  22. Read OP, too many replies to fish through in too little time. Long story short, none of the consoles (excluding next-gen, but even they'd struggle) have the power to run KSP, plain and simple. Not only that, but the controls would be difficult to map logically onto a controller. It would also drastically slow down updates and keep the dev team far busier than they need to be - they're already overworked by how much they do to push out the updates. Not only that, but bugs may also vary from console to PC. Also, as far as I know, consoles don't run Unity. Without Unity, I'm pretty sure the game doesn't run (though I may be wrong, my programming knowledge consists of nil). TL;DR: It can't happen. Go read it, it's not that long.
  23. "What does that flashy red light mean?"
